He sat there and chopped it up with me for about 15 minutes or so and ended with "well your license is good, you have insurance just had to check to see what was going on. It was great talking to you though I don't ever have traffic stops this pleasant or enlightening." I looked at him for a second and I was like... "I forgot you even pulled me over, felt like I was just talking to an old friend in the parking lot." Dear Class, this video is great..it's good to see the peoples of the Military in action, it's inspirational. One thing I would like to say regarding Police training is that when I was in the Austin, Texas area I was lucky enough to see some real Police in action during a bar fight. And the technique that I saw the Austin Police Department employing was extremely effective, where the Officers teamed up 2 Officers to 1 suspect on either side of the suspect, locking them up quick with both arms restrained and forcing them up against the wall. It was like clockwork and it went so good I was impressed. They acted as a team with the same primary goal in mind man. So I'm just mentioning it because I think it's a great technique, using an overwhelming force and logic and intelligence to apprehend your opponent (the suspect) without using excessive force. These Officers had the bad guys locked up and safed up and restrained peacefully in seconds. I had quite an adventure down there while Courting Sandra B., from a safe distance, including an encounter with a guy carrying 6 knives on him at 6th & San Jacinto. This man was a local street musician that tried to interfere with me while I was defending a young lady whom was in a fight with her boyfriend at a bar. He refused to get out of her vehicle when she asked him to and so I had asked her if everything was alright. The guy with the knives named Hurst if I recall was his last name, was possibly a couple of things...1)retaliating because I had been in the area playing my guitar as a street musician to earn money too and he was territorial about it and 2) he may have had as we call in the Police business, an "Anti-Cop Complex" lol. The young lady got home safely and her boyfriend left her alone and Mr. Hurst got searched and was picked up later for disorderly conduct, he had been drinking. And of course, the Police found his other 5 knives. Whew...another edition of "the crazy life of God" lol. Good technique Officers!😇✌🎇🌈✊✌👮

Some call this harsh. But the reality is that an officer shows up to a call or a traffic stop and have to deal with multiple people at once and both may be yelling and screaming. If the person can’t take the controlled chaos of the academy then they lose their bearing on the street could get them killed.
I love the way the police officer explained it when the verbal insults are flying left right and centre at you. He said it’s not me personally that they are attacking. That’s so true, if you have that mentality set you are equipped to keep your composure. I look at it another way as well, ok these people have stuffed up in life and broken the law, they are still human beings and they have a chance to turn it around. Also when you are dealing with lawbreakers they have the tendency to behave like a wild animal that’s just been caught. Drunks are the worse and the language and name calling can be totally over the top. But sometimes humans want to behave like out of control feral animals. If that’s their choice well fair enough. I just let them rant, they soon run out of steam.

Don't get it... what has that to do with policing?!?... watching it from German (where police school takes 3 years) perspective it is just nuts. Now I understand the problem in the US. It's more about getting prepared for war and not for policing.
@@Cacowninja Hi... I have to ask... is that only a part of training?... or is it the complete training and after that, the recruits are officially policemen send out into the streets? I really don't get the concept of that. From movies I understand that those new policemen (I hope to be an "Policeofficer" it is required to undergo extra school/training) are afterwards matched up with older Policemen (-officers?!?) to get a learning-by-doing teaching... those experienced ones; do they have to do any extra trainer licence to teach? ... and is there a minimum time they have to accompany an experienced one, before they are qualified for example move and work elsewhere? Sorry for asking... I'm just a little shocked.
@@pt3800 it's basic police certification to get officers on the street , the continuing education hours for the rest of their lives, it's a condensed academy that takes 6-8 months when it could just as easily take 12-15 months and cover the same information, when you hit the force U are paired with a seasoned veteran and they mentor U and guide U for about 6 months after employment, all while doing continuing education courses and the probation period is longer than that
Not gonna lie, this seems kinda easy... These training officers look soft AF. It seems like police are really trying to emulate the US military but they're like a dollar store version. Compare this to Army or Marine corps Basic/AIT/OSUT. Your standard private from either branch could out PT everyone in this video.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Training is different than educating. Generally, training means teaching police officers to react to a given situation in the field. Education involves developing the mental and moral tools police officers should possess to build strong relationships with the community. It will teach police officers to think about their response to various problems based on vast amounts of knowledge and then take thoughtful action to resolve a problem. What they need is educating them on our Constitutional rights. Police officers enter their profession by taking an oath to the U.S. Constitution. So why is there no concerted effort to make police constitutionally literate? Just think about how much better the police-community relations would be if police were constitutionally literate. Constitutional literacy entails knowing the Constitution sufficiently well enough to invoke it properly. Those who take an oath to the Constitution have the responsibility to know its contents and interpretations of it, such as court decisions that are professionally relevant. There's a lot of men and women that have a career in policing without ever even reading the Constitution. So how sincere is one's oath to the Constitution if one hasn't read it or doesn't understand it? First of all, police academies should replace the standard five to six months of training with a two-year curriculum. In addition to the necessary physical, firearms, and tactics training, recruits should take classes that you might typically find in an undergraduate program - from criminal and constitutional law to sociology, psychology, and conflict resolution. A clear understanding of the nature of the society they will serve, and all its complexities are fundamental to any member of a service profession. By doing a simple search on RUclips and watching a few videos of "First Amendment Audits" you can plainly see how ignorant most police officers are when it comes to our rights. So more education is needed, not just training. www.policechiefmagazine.org/education-offers-best-solution-for-police-misconduct/
They're doing it to mimic how people are bound to talk to them in society. Technically it does make them better police because many people demean and say offensive things to officers and officers are supposed to maintain their professionalism at all times regardless of what is said to them and only act in regardes to the law.
TheTriptamineDream the hell? So what if he has ptsd for someone in the navy or marines or anything like that it is better for them to become police officers that is why they make that decision because it’s the only thing they know
I met this officer you speak of recently and I would like to say that he is squared away. I believe there is more to see out of this entire video than your first observation.
TheTriptamineDream that is extremely rude to say. This man served in the military, and then instead on just finding another job decided to help his citizens more. Idk who u think you are but don’t comment on this video if you don’t have something kind to say. Yes some do have ptsd but u cannot judge a person based on just a video. And NEVER disrespect someone in or was in the military. Until you meet him, YOU have no right to judge or say a word.

You don't need a degree for criminal justice .. trust me lol
Ariell0315 do you need military background to become a police officer ? Because I don’t, but this is something I really want to do.
@@astronautkid3566 No, you do not need a military background to become a police officer.
If anything to help in your career, psychology could probably help tone in stops to recognize certain behaviors and whatnot. Heard criminal justice is eh
Astronaut Kid No but if you’re wanting to be for the state police then you either need certain amount of college hours or time in service
they should call this constitution violation training
Pourquoi est-ce qu'ils s'entrainent comme s'ils étaient à l'armée ? Ce sont des policiers bon sang !
Because the police force is heavily militarized and trained to attack the public rather than defend it. What language were you speaking in btw? I translated your comment to English to understand.

If you're are already an Officer. I don't think you should have to go through the academy like someone who's never been an Officer.
Where are the rest of the episodes ?
I'm not sure, I forgot where I even found this one.
Fell Man would have been interesting to see the rest of them .
Thats alotta b.s for 40k a year

You have a problem with me?!
You have a problem with my sergeant?!
Who else found Bryan Sakamoto a little annoying?...
Vacation? Why the fuck would you ask that ?
At 11:44 violating the law???how?😮
It's a law.. your physical address has to match your DL or ID and you have a certain amount of time to correct it depending on state and county..
Don't get it... what has that to do with policing?!?... watching it from German (where police school takes 3 years) perspective it is just nuts.
Now I understand the problem in the US. It's more about getting prepared for war and not for policing.
You hit the nail on the head!
@@pt3800 Well I do know if you want to be a SWAT officer you must undergo additional harder training.
@@pt3800 it's basic police certification to get officers on the street , the continuing education hours for the rest of their lives, it's a condensed academy that takes 6-8 months when it could just as easily take 12-15 months and cover the same information, when you hit the force U are paired with a seasoned veteran and they mentor U and guide U for about 6 months after employment, all while doing continuing education courses and the probation period is longer than that
@@pt3800 trust me: there is a lot of academic studies!

Yep, especially with the war on drugs and gun control.
It only takes 91 days to be a cop. 3 months. It takes two years to be pastry chef. They become cops because its super easy.

DAY 1.😂
There is no need for yelling.
why are the instructors shouting? will that make them better police??
So that they can think and act under pressure
Under pressure
They're doing it to mimic how people are bound to talk to them in society. Technically it does make them better police because many people demean and say offensive things to officers and officers are supposed to maintain their professionalism at all times regardless of what is said to them and only act in regardes to the law.
This is where the psycos are trained !...
True, part of why I'm an anarcho-capitalist.

2:15 great. Just what we need...another ptsd imperialist tool just waiting to snap.
Your being ridiculous. Not everyone has ptsd in the military ESPECIALLY pilots. Study your facts before writing stupid things like this.
Bahahaha fucking chris Kyle is that you?
