    Great review! I have a 2023 RS… Regarding the one negative, a Racetorx gear shaft support sorts the false neutrals. Cheap as chips and easy to fit. 👍

    Love your channel mate. It will grow and grow if you just keep loading the content. I’ve got this bike and you might find you need to use the clutch around town to shift gears. The quick shifter is designed to work when you’re really on it, I’ve never had a problem in those conditions but I have when I’ve been lazy and tried to use it at slower take off speeds. Keep up the great work. P.S. love your instagram page too, awesome photography.

    Nice video man, really nice camera work and great production quality. You've nailed this review, I ha e had a cosmic yellow RS for 9 months now, the only dislike I ha e is the same as yours. Unfortunately, the quick shifter between 1st and 2nd can sometimes hit a nuetral 😅. It is definitely to do with how precise you are on the lever. • @ellwoodwolf

    The speed triple 765 has totally slipped under my radar until the announcement of the “Daytona” 660.... years ago I didn’t like the strange hornet look eyes and just ... forgot about it .... Adjustable suspension on my next motorcycle is a must, I wanted the more relaxed seating position than the r7 and the 8r/trident/cbr650r suspension isn’t good enough, the new Daytona 660 got me thinking “ ok at what price point does triumph offer what I want ? “ well for 700 dollars more THEY OFFER A MONSTER. Seriously 700 more gets 1) 40 lbs lighter 2) brembo 3) 23 more hp/12 more ft/lbs 4) 6 axis imu 5) fully adjustable suspension front/rear ..... and suddenly I didn’t even notice the light cluster lol
    700 dollars more for what I just mentioned.

    • @Willieswheels
      @Willieswheels  6 месяцев назад +2

      It’s a no brainer imo. Unless you specifically are after what the 660 offers (which, despite the name drama I think is a cracking offer) I’d say the street triple rs is easily the best triumph in their lineup.

    765 street triples have always been great Folks buy any one of them you can afford and you will be happy. I wouldn't buy the low variant as it lacks enough ground clearance for me but all the rest especially the R if you ride mainly on the roads are brilliant.

    Regarding the comments about the quick shifter problem, my dealer (Triumph Norfolk) told me at the outset that you shouldn't use it between 1st and 2nd as no quick shifter likes going through neutral to find the next gear. Strange that other dealers don't give the same advice?

    The 2024 is the best iteration to date. Love the new contour of the tank on the 24, didn't think they could make this bike more comfortable than it already was but here we are. The RS is the better buy for so many reasons, for looks the belly pan and rear seat cowl, for performance you got Brembo Stylema up front and Ohlins STX40 in the back not to mention the ever so superior Supercorsa SP tires make you feel glued to the road. To the guy who thinks you shill because you didn't have enough criticism about the bike, this bike is just that good. The only thing Triumph could do to improve this bike would be to make a fully fairing'd version of the bike and don't touch the riding position, that would be the best bike ever made, or at least it would finally dethrone the Tuono.

    The shift from 1st to 2nd is a lot further than 2nd to 3rd etc.. I had a after market quick shifter on my 2012 speed triple, and don't think I ever had a issue with missing 1st to 2nd.. You have to be committed with the force you put on the shifter. I believe the Motogp guys have a lock out feature via a button or knob on the controls.. My uncle recently bought a 2023? street triple rs same colour as the bike you have. He had a issue with gears in the box not being tightened up and in the end destroying the box so I was told.. Now I don't know if this was a Triumph thing, or whether he is just one giant bell end that can't ride. However I know they've had lots of issues with the Speed triple 1200 over the passed few years.. Over in Western Australia we have quite a few 2021-2023 speed triple with roughly 2000kms up for sale and just not selling.. Anyways you have gained a sub from the other side of the world. I bought my RS in March, it's my third street triple and by far the best, I couldn't believe Triumph could so much improve what was already a great bike but somehow managed it, my only gripe is the TFT, the 2017 was a good TFT, the 2020 not so good and the 2023 by far the worst, it's too cluttered and the lettering and numbers are too small, IMO the more simple one on the Trident and Tiger 660 is a better job that tells you all you require but the TFT is a minor gripe and by no means a deal breaker as I love the bike.

  • @mindspinn311
    @mindspinn311 4 месяца назад

    The R is actually what you should be buying. Most people don’t need the RS, and will actually enjoy the R on the street far more. Triumph did this intentionally. The R is the road bike that’s track capable, while the RS is the track bike that’s street capable. I’d rather have the one that’s better for everyday spirited riding rather than the one that’s best when being ridden at full tilt.

    That dash layout is utter garbage, other then that its hard to find a flaw other then the looks, and hats subjective from person to person.

  • @Kristofferheihei

    I was so hyped so I went and test drove the 765RS. I was disappointed beyond believe. The throttle fueling for on off throttle is abrupt and annoying. The engine barely makes a sound and has zero character, whilst other brands make loud bikes even with the latest euro BS. The engine is ok up top and you can tell that the bike has good handling and brakes, but my god was the bike sterile. The dash is also not good nor interesting.
    I was looking to buy one, but honestly the CB650R is way better road bike and the Duke 890R is a better sporty / track bike.

    Nothing like a review that begins with thanking someone for a loaner bike. So the only thing imperfect about the bike was hitting neutral between 1st and 2nd. You are correct, that was pure shill. Thumbs down.

    • @Willieswheels
      @Willieswheels  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ride one and let me know what you don’t like… I’m highlighting that it’s a loan & that it’s not a paid advertisement to be as honest as possible. I’m not a full time journalist just a passionate rider who’s fortunate enough to be riding bikes from brands I love. I will be enthusiastic if it’s good and I might miss things because I only have a short time with each bike, which is why I love chatting in the comments with people who own the bike I’m featuring. That’s my experience, if you don’t like it you don’t need to watch it. Thanks for stopping by!

    It’s a great bike chassis & power is superb, but it’s ugly as hell. You get off the bike and it’s looks fugly. The headlights and front end is shocking.

      Agree on older models but the last 2 iterations have been spot on for me. The reflection of the DRL in cars & windows looks epic.
