YES that is stil valid. You can offer your service as the main product that you're trying to sell in the whole funnel. Dont over complicate it just a tip.. make it simple in your mind. its like this,.. 1. You're a copywriter 2. You're making a funnel.. 3. Inside the funnel your product is your copywriting service.
When it comes to building a funnel for a service based business it's advisable to keep it simple. And maybe instead of sending them to a sales page you can invite them to book a 1:1 free clarity session with you

The funnel concept I understood, but the "Landing Page" term confused me. I didn't understand how it differs from a home page.

Both! When they enter the list, they are sent the indoctrination email sequence, and are also sent emails at specific times for related campaigns.

They do! And it is the job of a copywriter to catch their eye and make them want to read!

That's how a funnel works. Many people do in fact need several contact points before they will trust your brand ...simple.
