Thank you, You helped me repair my revo! Saved me so much time, money, and driving to the repair shop (which what I was going to do) ... I'm glad I did it myself but couldn't have done it without your help. Thanks again!
It is because of u and this video I was able to fix my merv roller today in like 10min found a used one in great shape but they sold because the driveshaft was done well 100$ on the merv $30 for the steel internals and maybe an hr throwing this and swapping out to rpm control arms slapped in a battery and it runs like a top!!👍🏼 I actually just snagged a maxx roller since I seen u had videos on it i felt comfortable enough to tinker with it too. Kinda crazy the deals for used things I guess I’m glad people don’t like to fix there own stuff or take the little effort to learn on here but again Thank You sir 👍🏼🙏

Holaa de nuevo. Waoo creo que voy aprender mucho en este canal. Tengo este mismo RC y todo lo que estás haciendo lo quiero hacer poco a poco. Excelente video desde R.D. Gracias.
@Red BANDIT Racing I got a question, do you know the part number for the screw that goes into the rear bulk head in the two middle holes, top holes are part number #3236 middle is ?? these hold the rear cambers, bottom holes are part numbers #7021 please let me know, as I need to buy cheers.
Sorry for the late response, I went out and double checked because that diagram for those screws can be misleading. They are #3236, any longer and it will puncture the rear bulkhead into the ring gear of the differential.
@@redbanditracingthank you for responding! I’m going to get those as well. Love what you guys have going on here, I really appreciate the videos. You guys have the best catalog of Merv stuff
@Red BANDIT Racing awesome video keep up the good work, can you let me know what Ryobi model cordless electronic screwdriver you are using, I will need to maybe get one.
We recently picked up two of these Milwaukee driver because they have a clutch so you don’t over drive your screws accidentally. Check it out a.co/d/hoMwMlJ
@@redbanditracingThanks for the quick reply way out of my budget, I guess I will have to stick with my manual mips drivers, I wanted to buy mips bits 2.5m and 3m to undo long hex's, but £100+ way too much, do you know of any cheap alternatives that will work, and last long.
Great video. I see you own a lot of traxxas rigs. Many folks complain about this Merv being hard to work on. What is your opinion on the maintenance? It seems to me like once you work on it a few times you would learn the ins and outs “tricks” on how to take apart and put back together which would improve efficiency. Thoughts?
After the second time working on this RC, it’s not hard. Just keep your screws organized because there are a few different sizes. I actually enjoy working on it.
@@redbanditracing so this will fit the 1/16 scale w revo correct? I’m asking because these look really big, I’ve already bought 3 screws sets and they were all the wrong size so I just want to make sure
I did this to my merv. It is awesome!

You’re welcome glad it helped you. Unfortunately the Merv can’t be bashed a lot
What’s that upgrade looking box on the servo side location
The LED kit.

@@redbanditracing no, thank you. You helped me out a lot.
What would happen if you left the bottom plate off?
I bet the axles would last longer, there are a few screws you would still need to secure the transmission. Might be worth trying

Put some steel bearings on your steering bell crank & servo saver it’ll make it so much more smooth.
Definitely will, just haven’t gotten around to it. Should have come stock with steel not plastic.

Thank you, we appreciate it. Those are the ProLine Trenchers 2.2”. We use them on the BANDIT but they work great on the Merv. Lots of traction.

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement set of set screws for the original drive shafts. I can’t seem to find the right size screws
I got you! Go to Amain Hobbies, look up TRA8221. Pack of 6 3x10mm set screws for $3, original Traxxas number is #7057
