If I were doing the rainbow layout I definitely would follow rainbow order. Call me OCD that way. Since I am going to be doing just a background color and a chopped up layer cake because I didn’t have enough of any I will just throw it together. My daughter is getting this as a throw size. She doesn’t know it yet. 😂😂 The layer cake is not really my colors and are more hers. Haven’t started yet. Still cleaning to be able to reach the sewing machine. 🤦🏻♀️ THAT IS HER FAULT!! And yet I’m making it for her. 🤷🏻♀️ Will have blocks by the weekend!!
You have done it again! Love this block. First, I am going to try to size it up for a tote, using a finished block with black or denim framing. Second, my niece has asked for a quilt where nothing matches, and this is it! I couldn't do the sew along due to calendar conflicts. I will send photos when done! Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Hi Kristen, Gosh, your SAL’s are so much fun, I had to sign up as I was experiencing fomo 🤣🤣🤣 the blocks look wonderful! Love this Quilt, you’re so talented and creative and so much Fun! 🥰 Chris-Raleigh NC
I love your channel! I watch many quilting channels that are great, but each of your videos have inspired me to make what you are making with scraps! I usually work on at least 2 quilts at a time (I know...crazy) and I have added this one to my WIPs. I love pinning for 2 or 3 quilt blocks and then chain piecing. Pressing seems easier as well. I have completed 3 quilt tops at a time!
I love foundation paper piecing & your pattern is awesome & bright. I've only made a heart-themed sewing chair pad, but love it & use it daily. Thanks for sharing!
@@ScrapFabricLove would you think this would work with fabrics that aren't terribly different from each other? I have about 3 prints each of light and medium sage greens, and same of light and medium purples. It'd be a gift for someone who wants a quilt with these colors but no background fabrics
I’d say go with your gut. If it looks pleasing to your eye it should to them too. More muted colors will give a more kind of cottage chic look I would have thought. Could be nice!

No dent, sad face! My one question is: is there a separate page for the paper piece pattern, I used the one in the e-mail and can’t seem to get it to size, my printer is set to 100 % scale. That is why I just wondered if it was a separate or single page?
It should be the page with the writing at the top with the patches numbered. It prints for me at the right size. Send me an email to hello@scrapfabriclove.com and we’ll try to figure out what is happening there.
Hi there!. Dclutter Quilting just posted a FREE beautiful FPP large Sunflower quilted Table Runner pattern if you want to take a look and/or maybe do a colab together some time in the future. Also, I love your scrap burst block. I tried it and it turned out beautiful! Have a great day!
How many colors would you use for this block? Are you going to go totally random or follow a color sequence?
I think I’d go rainbow. I always choose rainbow.

Kristin yours is turning out gorgeous!! Will send pics when I get there. Can’t post on Instagram cause my daughter would see them. 😬

Glad you like the videos! I think lots of quilters work on multiple quilts at once - not crazy at all! Good for you for being so productive!

Week 3 block done, but was more labour intensive than I thought it would be. You made it look easy! Excellent tutorial on FPP. Thanks.
Oh no! Sorry it was hard work. At least you only had to make one though!
@@ScrapFabricLove it kept me busy all evening. 🙂
Beautiful block it will be fun to sew. Thanks

I have been wanting to try this. Your explanation on each step was excellent for me as a beginner. Also, ty for saying "scooch"!!

If you use a tracing wheel on all the lines it helps when folding back the papers and it helps when removing papers.
Cool - glad you’ve got a tool that helps you!
As usual Sis your ideas do not disappoint 😊
Thanks!
Gorgeous block 😍 Thank you 😊
Glad you like it!
Thanks.
Lovely Kristen.
Thanks!
I’m going too try this block. Very fun for beginners.
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Love this block!
Thanks!
That is very pretty but I am certain I would mess it up. HA! You always come up with really neat stuff.
You should try you might surprise yourself! And “messing up” along the way is just part of the learning process!
Hi Kirsten, I love your ideas and blocks. I would have loved to join in with this one, but I really dont have the time. I will do it at a later stage.
Happens to us all! The videos will be here when you are ready! Thanks for watching!
Hi I never received block 1 hexagon could you please send I have 2 and three
Send me an email to hello@scrapfabriclove.com and we’ll get you everything you need!
These blocks are beautiful. I hope to do a quilt like this!
Thanks!
I was messing around trying to do something like this free hand! omg it was hard 😂
Yes it took several iterations to get it to work the way I want in FPP form - would be even harder free hand!
How do I get the instructions for all the blocks?

great, i like it
Thanks so much!
I have been going totally random in my blocks.
Fab! Hope you see a dent in your scrap pile by the end!

@@ScrapFabricLove I did try a few sizes, but I do the one that is a tab bigger and will square it down.
Okay - do let me know if you have the same issue in future with the other blocks.
