I enjoyed the title. After being in love over the years, "scrappiness" is a fit description of my life's memories and feelings.... scraps of my life. Are you secretly a poetess?
Good Morning Kristen, Wow, you continue to amaze me with your work❣️ I love seeing what you come up with that I would never have thought of. Take care and God Bless you and your family, 🥰👍❤️ Chris
I am a long time quilter, and purchased your pattern. Love the options you put in the pattern as different size with all of the requirements for each, plus the bonus of the single block information. Keep up the great work. ❤
I’m making a little house block from fabrics used in my quilts have 42 so far only started less than 2 years looking good hard trying to remember them all as given most away like heart block idea will do next time thanks again
For the heart quilt, I wish you had enough reds to do an inner border of red and then denim! But like everyone says, it will be wonderful no matter how you finish it. OH, and red binding.
Denim border!! Then shirt scraps for sashing. This would be PERFECT for using fabric from the clothes of loved ones who have passed away (& you want to keep their clothes).
I meant binding with shirt fabric. But if you dash, that would be perfect. I almost cried when I thought how I can use my mom & dad’s clothes & make squares for my family; even if I just make a heart and use it for a pillow.
@@NolaTheAlamoChiliQueen yeah I wasn’t sure what you meant about the sashing 😂 the blocks are already joined. But scrappy shirting for binding would be lovely. I think I have enough for that! Glad you like the idea of using this for memory quilts or pillows. I might do another with just my Dad’s clothes when I am ready to cut them up. I did cut the one shirt for this but still not ready for the rest.
I have been saving my dad’s shirts & overalls and some of my moms blouses since they died (2007 & 2009) because I want to make something for their 2 grandsons. ❤ your nails, so cute. You and Donna Jordan of Jordan Fabrics have the cutest nails on RUclips!
Hi Kristen, Desley again😁 I also would like to know if your shirts that you used are cotton or a poly blend. In Australia I can only mostly buy poly blend men's shirts from the thrift shops. Thanks Desley
What fabric should I use for the border of the denim and shirting version I'm working on?
Denim border absolutely!
Thanks!
I would do a double boarder, a narrow scrapy strip and a wider denim boarder.
Thanks!
I like the idea of two borders with the fabrics that you have used

Thanks! Glad you liked it! We are all a bit scrappy at our core.
Our lives really are a scrappy quilt, made from so many individual memories, aren’t they?
Good Morning Kristen, Wow, you continue to amaze me with your work❣️ I love seeing what you come up with that I would never have thought of. Take care and God Bless you and your family, 🥰👍❤️ Chris
Thanks so much Chris!!
Clever idea....an autograph quilt in sc hool colors for the high school graduate or a baby quilt signed by the relatives. How fun❤
Fab idea!
Definitely a denim boarder! Love that quilt. Can’t wait to see what you do to finish it! Thanks for all the great tutorials!❤
Thanks!!
You had me at scrappy and then i saw the heart's. Oh my! I love it. Still 2100 miles from home. I so wish i was home to work on this project.
Glad you like it! It will all be waiting when you get home!
Love, love your pattern and your line of thinking 😊
I like your Jean hearts without a border. But it is gonna look amazing no matter which you do!!
Thanks so much! So glad you liked it!

Thanks so much for buying the pattern and for the feedback! 💕
Really enjoying this. You are very talented indeed. And you can concentrate with children's voices off stage! 😂 ❤
Thanks! 😂 I don’t have much choice with the kids noise….somehow they seem to get louder every year 😂!
What a clever way to stretch a small fabric supply for a memory quilt
Thanks!
You are great! I love your attitude about everything. How thoughtful to offer alternatives to buying your pattern. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks!
Just down loaded your pattern and am watching video . Can't wait to make one. Looks awesome! You are so talented.
So glad you are enjoying it! Have fun with it!

I love the color and look of your quilt!!
Thanks so much!
That is a beautiful quilt! I would frame it with a narrow shirt border then border it out with a wider denim border.
Thanks !
I like denim!!!
Great heart ❤️ block I can’t wait to do it, thanks for sharing
Thanks so much!

Yes red and denim is always good!

Thanks! I have we leaning denim but I keep going back and forth!

Thanks! I am addicted to press on nails like I am addicted to quilting 😂
Love the pattern! Ordered out from Etsy! The term you can use for the other rainbow quilt, is asymmetrical layout. Both quilts are pretty!!
Thanks so much! So glad you like it!
Denim first then a piano key border if you want it wider.
Thanks!
Lovely block but I think I’ll do a scrappy appliqué heart ( a bit of crazy quilting to use up my scraps ) Thank you for all your tutorials
No worries - I’m sure your heart will be lovely too.
Love it!
Thanks so much!

Total mix! Some cotton, some flannel, some poly.
For borders why not a red tartan fabric
Don’t think I have anything like that but I agree it would look good!
Hi Kristen have not been doing the see along but I am interested in the heart block. What size is this block. Thanks Desley
Hi! Glad you like the block. It is 9.5” unfinished.
Denim.
Thanks!
