i got mine done in february😭 i didn’t know much about it i just knew the process for healing took hella long and i saw someone’s industrial infected in tiktok and now im scared because mine has been having small bumps and i been using neilmed saline spray
Thank you for the video! I got my industrial 5 months ago. It was my first cartilage piercing, and it definitely was a very painful piercing, even for me (I have a high pain tolerance), but was so worth it! It was more the second hole that hurt, the first one was fine. I got my conch a couple months later on the same ear and the actual piercing for that hurt so much less than the industrial, but interestingly enough, my conch has been WAY more itchy than my industrial during the healing process!
Gonna get mine tomorrow! I’ve only gotten lobes before so I’m a bit nervous about the pain and healing. I’m good at being diligent with the aftercare though so hopefully it’ll be fine
I need some advice on my industrial piercing! I've had it for a little over a year and just got my jewelry changed for the first time. But it feels horrible, almost as bad as when I pierced it! I've had the new bar for two or three weeks now, but it still hurts horribly! What am I doing wrong???
It CAN take UPTO 2 years to fully heal, on average 6 months to a year. But it depends on the person. I got my 3 week old industrial looked at by my piercer last week when I got my tragus done because I knocked it few days after getting it done and bled quite bad but she said mine has healed better in two weeks (at that point) than most people heal in 6 months, I’m a quick healer not everyone is so take that into consideration. Plus it depends on wether you have had trauma to it like sleeping on it banging it catching it all that likely literally unavoidable good stuff which starts the healing process all over again thus setting back the healing time further. Did you get pierced with 2 small bars or do it in one long scaffold bar? because if it’s 2 small ones then you put a bar in they more prone to migrate and not line up perfectly so that can put pressure on ear because it’s never had one bar to begin with so putting one long bar in can cause problems. Could be the metal in the new jewellery you might be allergic to something in it and it’s causing irritation but we don’t know what that Jewellery is made from, combined with the possibility of still healing then yea that’ll hurt. 14-18ct gold doesn’t have nickel in or a cheaper alternative than gold is a medical grade metal specifically for internal implant it could be any number of things or a combination of any of the above, infection even. I don’t know what you mean by “it feels horrible” bit vague but we’re grasping at straws because we don’t personally know you so more than likely it’s one of those things that I mentioned above but only you can find out, can’t advise anymore than that, go back to your piercer.
it could also be that the jewelry is too big so your holes are trying to stretch out under the pressure of the new earrings, maybe downside to s smaller gauge
Just to put here, cartilage cannot be stretched! Your piercing gage HAS to patch with the size of the origional/the needle size. I made the mistake of not checking one time for my helix and it just wouldn't heal properly after that.
Thank you.for my 42nd bday i got my first industrial. Your care tips were explained well. Luckly im Nurse, so sometimes a bottle of wound irrigation solution gets "dropped" now n then lol
I got the industrial bar on my right ear and double helix on my left in the same appointment. It is difficult to sleep but once you are asleep it’s fine. The industrial does hurt a lot. My helix piercing doesn’t hurt unless I accidentally hit it. The industrial hurts no matter what. Pain reliever and an ice pack does help though for the industrial.
I stuck my ear in a cup of warm/hot salt water several times a day, which I found made a lot of difference - I was told to have the water as hot as I could stand it and used boiled water. I did have a bit of a fight with the top hole position as the piercer initially accidentally made it very shallow (had a high risk of it tearing) so I decided to have the top re-pierced further in. It has annoyingly migrated part way back towards the original site, (i suppose it was trying to join the 2 wounds or something) but it has now fully healed well, albeit a tad shallower than I'd like, so we are waiting to see if it stays put or if it moves any further (at which point it will have to come out and have a 3rd try 😕). I used a salt compress (a ground up salt&water paste) with an occasional drop or two of tea tree oil in it, to pack the bottom hole for a time as I had a tiny bump, which was probably irritation caused by moving the bar before it was healed in order to redo the top hole, but that has completely gone now.
Thank you this video was so helpful I got mine done and I have the bump that you were talking about and I thought it was a keloid or it infected but now I know it’s just trying to heal thank you
the main key is to no push the pircing thru, if u take it out to clean in, make sure u do it really slow and wiggle it thrue, if u dont your pircing end" the scru" part will iritate the wound/scar, like me I use pyrispet/antiseptic salve, too get the pircing thrue without irritating the open scar/wound, u will soon see that it will grow/heal much faster, alot of ppl just clean and then push the pircing thrue, and then its like restart, some get big bumps, some get all this kind of "non infected" things, and dont know why, this is bcuyz u push the pircing thrue too fast/rough/ slow and steady :) hope u find thius helpful, sorry for dysleksia and bag english
Hay just got mine done i’ve always wanted one. But at the moment every time I just touch my ear it hurts so bad. Hopefully it gets better soon but thank you very much for your tips and will try it 😊😊
i plan to get an industrial piercing after christmas, so this is very helpful to know. ive been watching lots and lots of videos about it. i already have a helix piercing on my left ear, i plan to get the industrial on my right. for me helix piercings arent that painful but everybody is different
I also never experienced any pain with my left cartridge piercing but I got my industrial a little under a week ago and I’m here to tell you it hurts like a mfer. Especially the 2nd hole. (And I have a high pain tolerance) the healing process is moderately painful and cleaning is uncomfortable and sometimes painful. pls be careful 💕^^

I just got mine but I was wondering if I can shower with it and if I should cover it with something because I really need to wash my hair I haven’t seen any talk about washing hair without getting product on the piercing
i got my daith done about a month ago and really want to get an industrial! i heard they're around the same level of pain so i might just do it. your video was super helpful!
I’ve had both done and the industrial by far hurt more, mainly bc I had custom jewlery put in and it made it a bit more complicated so they had to pierce one of the sides twice to accommodate the jewlery perfectly
I just got my industrial done today and I've had a daith for 2 years. I thought that the daith had more of a hot burning feeling and was worse then the industrial. Did you end up getting it?

Alyshia Steenburgh from my experience your industrial is going to be super tender like that for awhile! its def not like a lobe piercing that feels better the next day and will probably hurt to sleep on for a couple of months, and if you bump it itll hurt and turn red. i would work on healing it and keeping an eye on it, but im not a doctor or piercer so if u feel like something is wrong i would contact your piercer and ask them what they think!

I keep getting a bump around mine like on both sides and I don't know if it's infected or what but I'll start with the stuff to see if the bumps go away 🥲
If you get the piercing on the side you sleep on, I heard that you should use a neck/travel pillow. Place your ear in the hole of the neck pillow so that your ear doesn’t actually rub against anything.
Yes you can use it that night after cleaning with anti bacterial soap dial gold or provon. The can says 3 to 6 times a day I don't recommend that... I say 1 to 3 at max unless you get it dirty and have no other way of cleaning your piercing, H2ocean is amazing stuff but can be drying if used to much. Also if it does start drying out the piercing you can rinse it off 30 minutes to an hour after use. ( I do 10 mins for my piercings I have sensitive skin) I hope this helps. :)

If you get the piercing on the side you sleep on, I heard that you should use a neck/travel pillow. Place your ear in the hole of the neck pillow so that your ear doesn’t actually rub against anything.
@@mayaduverneau4932 I DO THAT!!!
bro i love you
I did mine like 2 days ago and hurts a lot
can i start using the h2ocean as soon as i get it done or should i start off with just soap?
Yes you can use it that night after cleaning with anti bacterial soap dial gold or provon. The can says 3 to 6 times a day I don't recommend that... I say 1 to 3 at max unless you get it dirty and have no other way of cleaning your piercing, H2ocean is amazing stuff but can be drying if used to much. Also if it does start drying out the piercing you can rinse it off 30 minutes to an hour after use. ( I do 10 mins for my piercings I have sensitive skin) I hope this helps. :)
@@oksanaivanovna1207 omg yes thank you so much :))
@@ryleighchumbley2104 your welcome! :)
This bled like a bitch for me! So much blood it's only now started to clot I'm surprised I'm not dead from the blood loss lolll
I don't have good soaps or money to buy them is it okay for me to just wash with water 3 times a day and use the h2ocean thing?
If you cant take care of it dont get it. It will get super infected.
@@MayceeRaye I've been using h2ocean spray and only using warm water to wash it and it's been perfectly fine
@@joemommaverycute you can use warm water and salt (sea salt can be acceptable)
Thankyou
