What if I do method two, but instead of straining, I blend and boil down like in the first method? Does that make sense? It's more time consuming, but I don't want to lose nutrients (if that happens in method two). At the same time, it will still be quicker than method one because it will be easier and faster to blend when it has been steamed. Does that make sense?
I usually do the first and second method, and the third when I’m making jollof. I recently relocated to the uk and I have struggled with making the perfect stew base here. I miss tatashe and cannot find shepherds pepper here in the uk. They mainly have sweet bell peppers, sweet long Chilli peppers which have zero spice. Watching your video made me glad cos I love me a nice stew base.
Hi. Thanks for this video. I would like to ask about the type of beans that taste similar to naija own. I do see svarieties ranging from pinto, kidney, haricot beans, etc. in the store but confused about which to pick
I like method 3 though I have never done it😂. The roasted flavour will be nice. I have used method 1 in the past. Method 2 seems to be pouring away vitamin water😢

Awwww, I am glad to hear you love the video. Where in the UK are you? perhaps someone might be able to help with where to shop.
@@9jafoodie I’m currently in Leeds. Thank you so much for responding.
Do you shop Atare products to the uk?
What tomatoes do people use for stew? Roma? Beefsteak? I use canned but want to grow some next year.
I mostly use Roma
