Welcome to London!! Definitely lots of cool stuff to do 💗 -Watch a play or musical. Really unique play is Witness for the Prosecution which is in an actual court room. -So many amazing markets! For when you’re plant hunting: Columbia Rd Flower Market. For food theres literally dozens -Hampstead Heath. Personal favorite park in all of London. Amazing views, lots of roaming doggos. Theres also an incredible creperie thats really popular in Hampstead And so so many more!
You remind me so much of myself! My husband and I moved to Asia for a few years before coming back to Australia to settle and start our family. I think this experience is one everybody should have, it's great quality time with your partner while you're still young and before other responsibilities take up your time, plus it's very character building to be in a brand new place far away from your family so you can really be independent. I hope it's going well!

Hi Bella! You should take a trip to Brighton on the train! It’s sooo beautiful there, its close to London, easy train ride & big seaside and massive pier and SO many little lanes with shops full of character, trendy thrift shops, great food places & really colourful & artsy everywhere. It’s super popular & better than London imo. You should look up some videos & images! I LOVE Brighton, I live an hour from London & love to visit Brighton around my birthday. ❤️

Best wishes on your move to the UK! I’m from (old😊) South Wales so have visited London loads of times. One of my favourite places is the Sky Garden, it’s free but you need a ticket. Also, the Lion King show at the Lyceum theatre is amazing. In the summer there are tours of Buckingham Palace, which my 10yo daughter and I both enjoyed. I would also 100% recommend exploring outside of London, to see other parts of the UK. You can get to the south coast, the Cotswolds, Lake District, all over Wales & Scotland and so many other great places easily from London by train (and less accessible places by car). How exciting for you! 🎉

So so nervous and sympathise with you leaving Mia behind, as I’m leaving my cat behind with my mum and the thought breaks my heart! I would love to hear more about your experience, specifically different suburbs that might be suitable to move to. All the best and if you ever need a roomie hmu lol
I would personally recommend looking at locations in zone 2 (2nd level of central-ness). Still very central, but a bit less expensive. East London has loads of culture and community, West London is more like the photos you see on Pinterest and often a bit pricier but really lovely. North London is a bit more suburb-y and South London isn’t great for transport links. Hope this helps and good luck with your move!

welcome to london bella! I’m only halfway through, but defo go back to the barbican to see the barbican conservatory! the estate is purposely brutalist architecture but a lot leas depressing in the sun / when the gardens are in bloom lol. there’s also a great korean BBQ place nearby I recommend x
Why could you not take Mia? We moved across the world with both of our dogs, one was 180 lbs. I could not live without my babies. Our friend just moved from the US to Germany with her 4 pets. It’s not as hard as you think.

As someone who has moved around quite a bit - I can't recommend enough that you take pictures of any and everything. Not necessarily things that you would post to social media, but just little snapshots of day to day life. Years from now those photos will spark memories of your time in London and you'll be grateful you took them to look back on.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Kew Gardens, Richmond park, lunch in Kingston/Richmond and get the boat to Hampton Court Palace, walk around Henry the 8ths rose gardens and go in the Maze (in spring or summer, the boat doesn’t run in winter/autumn), Boxhill in the summer is beautiful, Blacklock in Shoreditch does THE BEST roast dinner in the whole entire world. NOTTINGHILL CARNIVAL in summer 💘 (ignore the bad press its the best day of the year and u MUST experience)

As someone who has moved around quite a bit - I can't recommend enough that you take pictures of any and everything. Not necessarily things that you would post to social media, but just little snapshots of day to day life. Years from now those photos will spark memories of your time in London and you'll be grateful you took them to look back on.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Kew Gardens, Richmond park, lunch in Kingston/Richmond and get the boat to Hampton Court Palace, walk around Henry the 8ths rose gardens and go in the Maze (in spring or summer, the boat doesn’t run in winter/autumn), Boxhill in the summer is beautiful, Blacklock in Shoreditch does THE BEST roast dinner in the whole entire world. NOTTINGHILL CARNIVAL in summer 💘 (ignore the bad press its the best day of the year and u MUST experience)
