🎉🎉 strawberries 🍓 are the best picked off a vine. Hope the pond works out and it will make a fab addition to the allotment. Happy gardening Sherry, Ali 🥵🌞🇨🇦,
I have loads of rhubarb down on my allotment and really look forward to crumbles and pies. Its the leaves that are poisonous but I just put these on the compost heap. I'm 74 and so far haven't been poisoned! Having moved to a new home 5 years ago with only a tiny garden I got an allotment with my daughter and we are really enjoying it. You have hit a really difficult year to start as everyone is saying how difficult it is to get things going but you are doing great. Love your pond; sadly we are not allowed them on our site.
Is there a rule of thumb as to where you cut the leaves off, such as so many cm’s below? I LOVE rhubarb crumble 😍 It’s so lovely that you’re sharing a plot with your daughter 🥰 x
@@SherrysAllotment no I just twist the leaves off probably about an inch below where they leave the stem and then peel the outer layer off. Its best not to let it get too big or the stems get a bit stringy. I'm sure if you search for how to pick and prepare rhubarb there will be some videos if your not sure

Fingers crossed for the pond 🤞🏼I’m not sure at the minute if it’s having slight evaporation from the weather or if it has a small leak 😅 x
