Love the rig, I haven't got a shoulder rig, might be something to look at as I have a very similar setup. The only recommendation I have is to jam timecode into your zoom using a tentacle sync, get rid of the rode lav, and run a tentacle track E. No interference, perfect timecode sync, 32bit float, happy days :)

How is it on your shoulder, it looks like it might be too front heavy without really using your shoulder for much support. I've generally heard that's where the rear V-mount setup really shines in terms of balance.

Dope rig bro! Love the quality of this breakdown 🔥I was just looking into Polar pro’s basecamp matte box👌🏾

Thanks so much!!! I love the Basecamp and the new filters just put it over the top for me.

I just had the same interference problem with my Rode Wireless Go the other day, while recording my a7siii to the Ninja V. I know from loads of experience on podcast recordings that a phone being too close can cause it, so I turned it off. The interference persisted, so I moved the Go around until it got worse. It wasn’t the Ninja itself, but the high speed HDMI cable I bought specifically for this set up. It’s a fantastic cable, but it’s very thin. What you gain in ease of use on these rigs you loose in shielding. Hence the interference. The same problem did not occur when I used my Rode Filmmaker kit. Maybe there is a bit more shielding in those units, making up for the lack of shielding in the HDMI cable?

Awesome advice. I’ve found the HDMI cable to be THE culprit as well!

The interference may come from the cellphone - 4G or Wi-fi. I'm not gonna explain in the nity grity but its a question of bandwidth that may cause interference. It can also be radio tower, electrical cables, or electronic devices in the room. Or it can be a issue with your emitter or receiver. Or maybe the Atomos is the origin of the interference (magnetic flied that signals don't like). I don't know exactly, it can be many things. Try to isolate your system of possible devices that produces wireless signals or electronic devices that manage signals (yes cables produces signals if not isolated). If you still have interference with just the rode. Maybe its time for repair. If not, try to figure what may cause the interference around by elimination. That's as much as i can help.

Extremely helpful! Thank you. I have a feeling it might be the phone close to the camera (when used as teleprompter) or the cable perhaps. But I’ll do some serious digging. Thanks again!

@@MattJackson_RUclips Always put your phone on airplane mod when shooting ! Otherwise you'll have interferences for sure !
