Cheers. The great thing about photography is that as a profession there is no 'best by date'. Being a creative medium it is something one can do as long as you like. Just find the genre that appeals to you and research the best techniques. What I call 'RUclips University' is the best place to find so many tutorials on so many aspects of photography. Best of luck getting back into it.
That is for the Groups and also Channel settings. When you set up a Trigger you set the Group and Channel so that you can then set up multiple flashes on one trigger. As an example, if you want to set up a three flash scenario you could have Flash #1 on Group A Channel 1, Flash #2 would be Group B Channel 2 and Flash #3 would be on Group C Channel 3. This way you can then control the output of each flash to create lighting effects and shadow as required.
Oh what I wanted to say I just bought the Westcott FJ 400 I got the Pkg that came with 2 lights but thinking about taking them back and getting the backpack version, which one do you have?

I have two of the standalone FJ400 units. I bought them about a year apart so they are each just the standard single unit.
