i think he felt it was a fair risk since he stole the gloves and creep jacked him before so even worse case scenario would be still in grubby favor
@@misos1393 Yeah that giveaway was hard to watch, given how powerful an early ring +4 is on strength heroes. But yes, it was pretty much GG after that first creep jack.

Another reason is that if Grubby has too much advantage early on, the opponent may GG out early before the strat is complete. Which means no content.
So while unintentional, this does factored in the match lasting longer.

This is one of the funniest builds I’ve seen, the swarm is crazy
This is how a lot of my games felt in 2003-2007 on lan and in clubs. A lot of guys tried to imitate pros without understanding what they were doing, but I just built a lot of units and upgraded them.
True story. In 2004 a guy in my school was renowned as some high-level clan war competitor, but I just owned him with a level 3 PotM + 15 up'd archers, 2 weeks into the game. Harsh reality check.
my unbeatable strategy was mass upgraded archers produced 2-3 at time. it has a close to 100% winrate in lans
@@IAmOHMSS I have this Red alert mindset since the nineties - after 3 harvesters, the plant must constantly make tank after tank after tank after tank... If the plant is idle, you will find yourself on the battlefield with a smaller army and lose - it's that simple.
I'm still doing this today and win most of my lan game. Like how does your 2 grunt 3 raiders and 2 super microed heros fare against my 65 pop full fletched army? I just auto attack and hear them destroy their mouse on the other side and still lose miserably.

The funniest thing is that they made rifles and sorcs against mass archers, I don't think anybody ever explained elunes grace to them. :D
Armour types and defend footies are also under his radar. But, to be fair, nobody expects mass archers in mid game.

This are a cool vid, I liked how the archers got many armor and start to get very tanky, but I think double boots of speed is a bit too many boots for one man to handle, especially cause lad is riding on horse back and not even using the boots, then again maybe it was riding boots

@@horsemumbler1 Given this is the opponent pivoting to our build, I'll be generous and say Panda is level 3. If it has Breath II, it only does 80% damage to archers, and has damage capping if it hits too many, AND you can micro archers with their 700 range. If Panda connects, it's 100 damage. An easy scroll.
around @3:30 the wisp teleport perhaps happens as the tilemap size of the wisp is smaller than other units so blocking movement has a narrower window, or perhaps the whirling around animation of the wisp has a window where other units can pass. I think it is a bug.

would love to see thorns aura added onto this, might makeup for the lack of attack upgrades early, especially since thorns reflects the damage before reductions are applied

the weird feeling that i enjoy watching grubby playing wc3 even tho i am so outdated in this game and i was only a kid last time i played.
I want to see a 2v2 with HU/UD running Howl, Frost Armor, Devotion Aura, inner Fire, Slow, Curse, Cripple.
Sometimes, you just gotta throw a wild card, a classic blunder of masters of perfected strategies suddenly slapped sideways by something random they'd never do.
It's been years since I've watched you, and you're still continuing the grind. Could you play a game using undead and getting the Blademaster and Demon Hunter WOMBO COMBO. Would really appreciate it.

since pitlord is neutral hero, what would be the best race for this ranged T1 unit tank swarm?
NE have passive dmg reduction with Elunes Grace, Humans get easy devotion aura on pally 2nd, not sure what other races have, but how will they stack up against one another?

To be honest this strategy would be so much better if you'd just do dual upgrade + range from the get go
Archers are never going to be tanky,(no amount of armor upgrade is giong to make up for Normal damage vs Medium armor), but it does let them survive a bit longer to get out of the way.
Human went wrong unit composition to beat this -- should have stuck with Footmen with Defend instead of Rifles, and then transition to Breakers and eventually Knights.
Age of Empire 2 strat, instant burst damage potential.

How would you go about beating necrowagon as NE?
no disrespect but... this is why i've always been critical of Grubby's and some other pro's playstyles: because upgrades go a LONG way. It would pain me to see pros get more than 10 food space of a unit and get no upgrades, not even the first upgrade. Mathematically, the first upgrade already pays off typically with very little food space' worth of units!
And then there has been the timeless EZ team strat of PoTM and mass archers.
just look at the math:
archer: 0/0 . dps: 13 dps/ food space: 6.5
archer 3/3 + ballistics + lvl 3 trueshot + roar: dps: 41.85 dps/food space: 20.9
compare that to a base cryptfiend:
crypt fiend: 0/0: dps: 14.25 dps / food space: 4.75
so fully upgraded archer has over 3 times the dps of a normal archer, and more than 4 times the dps of base crypt fiends! And that's not even factoring range and stacking small units in a space!
That's a huge disparity to contend with! In other words: if you're trying to save money by not upgrading and just buying more units, look how many more unupgraded units you would need!
