Yeah, kind of lazy (like most of the modern cast impressions).
I am shocked Bowen didn't get the voice right...there are tons of lengthy Capote interviews online.
I mean, I think the voice was fine. Bowen’s strength isn’t in impressions, it’s in his writing, which was great here. Most people aren’t expecting an exact replica bc most ppl barely know who TC was, and they only even know _that_ much bc they saw some of “Capote” on hbo 10 years ago. Also I’d hate to have my version of a thing compared to the version Phillip Seymour Hoffman did.
It’s a really hard voice to do I bet, but I agree PSH, as he did most things, totally nailed it. RIP PSH!

It’s more amusing considering Bowen was downplaying Capote’s voice and mannerisms - this was a subtle Capote impression. Real Capote was far more, um, Capote-esque.
