You can actually remove the pins inside the big connector including the cables, no cutting and soldering needed. I work allot with Japanese bikes, build the wiring harness myself and selvage the original connectors. The pins inside the connectors are standard parts you can buy for a few cents. It takes about 20 seconds to get the cables out of a 6-Pin connector the gentle way. Get into to it! It works with every Japanese bike from the 70's until today.

Maybe it is just me but the camera needs work. Zoom out a little like during the windscreen bolt removal and speed up on the panning. The delays when Spite or Yammie are pointing to something out of view and it takes a sec or 2 to pan is unrattling.
New and improved R1 ... now with about 53 potential points of electrical failure in that tail tidy ... PS: those tank grips look silly over the tank protectors.
6:50 you should buy a repin tool its only 5 bucks (to about 117 if youre crazy) and you could pull the wires from the plug and put them back in later 7:50 could also be used here also 7:50 the colors of the wire make a huge difference because LED -> Light Emitting Diode -> Diodes only work in one direction unlike bulbs
Did your cameraman have his camera on 20% zoom the whole time or something? The whole video, the camera just was way too close. The camera shots may seem more fancy, but you cant see whats going on, having a fixed camera position was better at showing whats going on

Love Evotech stuff. It is more expensive but worth it. I really like the Evotech tail tidy S they use billet aluminum with wires inside the aluminum, hidden. Most tail tidy’s are stamped steel with exposed wires. Their radiator guards are premium

Tail Light; If it's a Bulb, it doesn't matter how it's wired, but a L.E.D. is Polarity Sensitive and will only work one way. Don't work? swap the wires.

Just a quick question but do you check the ppl who participate in the expert give away? How can you know that the winner knows what to do with such a beast of an bike? Tbh if I think back to my little squid days I would totally try to win a brand new R1, now ik that I can not even use 20% of what this bike has to offer and I am much more happy with my triumph tiger 800 and Ducati monster 696. Even these bikes are an totally overkill for the street. When I ride my triumph I never go over 6000rpm bc I don’t wanna lose my license.

Hey Yam, kinda off topic. But I’m looking at a 07 CBR600RR. It would be my first 2 wheeled machine. Is it good or bad, I would greatly appreciate your opinion.
Personally, I would recommend a bike that’s a little less high strung, being that the cbr600rr is tuned to be more of a high performance track bike. For a first bike, I think the cbr650r would be a much better choice, as it’ll be easier to handle for your first time but still has no shortage of power.
Okay less than 1 minute 30 seconds in I dislike Tech Spec grips. When detailing the bike and wax or bug/tar remover gets on them they create a streaky black ugly nasty mess. I want to swap them out but I'm afraid of the mess they will leave on my R6 tank.
2 things that made me cringe: just remove the terminals from the connector to get the wires threw the hole! And the plate light is an LED which means they only accept voltage in one direction were a normal bulb doesn't give a shit. And again, just remember the pins in the connector and swap to get the polarity right. I love your videos and spite is fairly competent, but mechanics you aren't lol
Spite, bullet connectors are easy, just use them. Soldering is for simps. Don't you want to live on the edge? Never knowing if your indicators are properly connected?
