Hi Jomboy. My buddy and I were courtside and heard the ref talking. Right before that moment where Jomboy had subtitles the same official said (to LBJ) the next moments in the footage show him over the line but they rolled it back a frame to confirm he was hadn’t yet begun his jump behind the line, essentially Lebron was confused as to why that frame was the one on the screen while he made the announcement, but it was just because the replay official rolled it back and kept it there.
Lebron then asked why two officials called it differently and the official said some moments are that fast and the replay office is useful and that’s “why you want them to see that”
Lebron: said something about it frustrating
Official just seemed to sympathize with Lebron by saying “I’ve been there”
Right after this the official talked again to the Lakers side about the frame position being rewound and it was “confirmed over the line” a few times.

I stopped watching basketball for several reasons, with that sackless commissioner refusing to make any rule changes to help defense being number 1.
LeBron would easily be the 2nd reason, though. His constant whining, flopping, team stacking, and breaking his arm to pat his own back are all unbearable to me.
The fact that a dude with no handle, poor footwork, and no go to moves can average 30 by just lowering his shoulder and ramming guys out of the way or taking 5 steps off of "gather" says a lot about today's league.
Tbh, all sports have fallen off a lot, but the NBA is the worst. Not to mention how bad sports talk shows have gotten.

2 for sure. Hometown call by the ref (by the angle he saw the play from, I can see why he could have suspected the shoe touched, but he did not outright see it.) Hence it was good to go to replay, and it looks to me his shoe was not only touching up against the line without any space, but actually over the line while shooting.

It's actually not even LeBron's foot it's his shoe material that barely nicks the edge of the line. I am very impressed in a late game moment at full NBA speed that the ref was even able to see it though.
Can we really say with certainty to that level of precision that the line is in the right spot at the right width? Because realistically we're talking about 1 mm of paint being the difference and that's a high level of precision.
