I don’t need to believe it…I’ve just experienced it. But not to the finicky level here. I noticed a marked difference in tonal qualities between carbons, alkalines and DC supply. The carbons brought some of my OD’s to life. So much so, I had to re-buy some once I’d realised what a difference they make after the fact. Only problem is, you don’t want to have to keep taking pedals off your board and unscrew regularly…so I hook up a carbon battery to a pedal using a simple battery connector to the DC jack. This JHS pedal makes sense to me based on that. But would have to test it to see if it works like the real batteries.

We all know the real tone comes from the fingers.
This is the reason why I'm producing a finger-tone pedal which simulates all the notable fingers throughout history.
It also has a bite-nail knob to shorten or lengthen finger nails and a dedicated control for unleash the Django Reinhardt mode. "Less finger is more finger". This is its tagline.
All the fingers you might need in a handly, portable pedal.

Duracell are to Reissue the 1982 9v and rumour has it that its better than ever thanks to a year of studying, scanning, and listening to original battery examples. The expert craftspeople at Duracell Custom Shop have rendered every contour, profile, inlay and color of the priceless vintage 9v models in magnificent detail. The result is a playing and ownership experience that will keep you coming back for more. The 1982 Reissue models utilize rounded ends, slim 89 degree taper body casing profiles scanned from originals, metalized polyvinyl inlays, and vintage-brass rivet parts. The 1982 model features Heavy Aging by the skilled artisans of the Duracell Lab. The Duracell Lab Heavy Aged finish treatment, paired with heavily aged casing, and a slight leaking of acid from the custom split casing simulates decades of usage, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Golden Era of Batteries.
