No body, no frets on it, just the neck. He kept telling me how amazing they were Right there, I started kind of panicking. Because I realized that I came all the way to California to play at the NAMM booth and had no guitar to do it on. Because he told me not to bring anything and that he would provide me with a guitar. One of my favorite local dealers has about 3 ttm right now 400 and 500 with a high quality guitar case. It led me to research and come across this video. I already have sub 200 dollar guirltars that kick the shit out of fender Gibson or Kramer. Kramer the only guitar company to dethrone Gibson. In the 80's. Yup kramers were out selling Gibson. Junk guitars anyway. Paying for a name that became what they are because. Well. Not much was available 60's to the 70's and lest face it Gibson built junk for many years.
I remember this , I got the email on this to get the green light on the endorsement, I didn’t fall for any of it. I’m very happy with my current endorsements and so grateful, but this was so interesting and crazy , I had been in show biz for along time and never heard of these guys till 2018
Mr TTM to his investors: “Well shucks, I don’t have your 50k… if you don’t want to lose it just loan me another 50k and I’ll triple it for you, I promise…!”
I'm sure the guy you're talking about is trash but Keisel, makes a damn good guitar. I have no idea what kind of ppl they are, no idea if they're honest or not about how they're made or any of that- but I know the one I played was a top-notch guitar and looked great. Granted it's just one sample- maybe it was a fluke but- a friend of mine got a beautiful super Strat in Copper- much like Phil McKnight's Keisel- and it's amazing.
The whole TTM thing has always been crazy to me, like, bands, and more specifically their labels, are violently litigious when people infringe on their IPs, and like, dead metal bands from the 80s, RATT n what not, sure they could get away with it, but like Megadeth? Ozzy Osbourne??? It literally feels like this dude just thumbed through his record collection and said "Yeah, these'll do"
"hundreds of thousands of dollars building a brand new factory" That should have been a massive fucking red flag on its own. You would need WAY MORE money to build a "brand new guitar manufacturing factory", especially in that area.
"Endorsements" don't work that way. It is the ARTIST that offers their popularity to endorse a product, connecting their name and notoriety to a product or company for the purpose of advertisement and increased sales. An endorsement is meant to get the fans of the noted artist to want the same product that the artist says they like and use. The company will often compensate the artist for endorsing the product with money or free products, some even going so far as to offer a product with the artists name actually on the product, or being designed or modified to the artist's ideas/desire. So - the company DOES NOT endorse the artist, though they may offer an artist an endorsement DEAL - an agreement/contract for the artist to endorse the product and the value and means of compensation.

@15:00 Any thief / con-man is a certifiable garbage excuse for a human being.
Well done! Great video. Hard to believe this went down and that this dude is starting up again
I owned 2, cant believe youre covering them. Ill go into detail when i have more than a minute to comment. I found them on ebay.
Who would spend that much money to save a surfer from his Hawaii vacations that weren't going that bad?! Who knows?! Namastè.
It literally feels like this dude just thumbed through his record collection and said "Yeah, these'll do"
"hundreds of thousands of dollars building a brand new factory"
That should have been a massive fucking red flag on its own.
Its incredible how easily people can be conned with a good tickle of the ego, I mean dont most guitarist's want recognition for there exceptional ability's lol
I was on Harmony Central when TTM first released guitars. He was giving guitars away left and right, promised me a guitar, then later, refused to send me one when the few people from harmony central that received one started roasting the quality.
yo i thought this scam was so funny i used to tell ppl what TTM stood for and they wouldnt believe me
The biggest scam in the history of electric guitars is Gibson and Fender being the ones behind all the Gibson and Fender Chinese knockoffs.
"TTM"= "Take Their Money".
Now do siggery guitars... I paid 1200 into my build and then he disappeared..he's back now and doesn't answer to those emails pertaining to those days
Wow. I live where this company said it was located and never heard of them. I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for this lol
Never even heard of this.glad I didn't.i wouldn't want a guitar called TTM anyway.what a lame name.
Ttm, along with 10S, is just the worst name for a guitar brand
I was so desperate that I sent them an email, I was checking that they did answer me, but I remember once I read that I had to pay I was like yeeeehehehe miss me with that shit
honestly I'm still desperate it's been since 2012 I hate music I want to die
Ahh, Taller Than Midgets. I guess I should watch the whole video before I comment lol
sixstringtv: "I feel confident in saying Lance Benedict is the biggest con-man in guitar history"
Rob Chapman: "Hold my beer"
He's done nothing *nearly* this bad come on now
Yeah I’m not really a fan of Chapman but at least you get a guitar from his company when you pay for one
I think I saw the TTM name along with CC Deville model Made In USA on a headstock at a local guitar store around 2017-2018..It was an Orange body and headstock with a Maple fretboard neck..it was for sale for $550...from a distance it looked cheap so I stayed away from it.
So....I guess they set the bar pretty "low".
I'll see myself out.
TTM= Take The Money
Wow that is scandalous alright, you almost have to admire the sheer audacity of the guy
TTM - Take The Money.
"TTM was the biggest scam in guitar history"
*laughs in Ed Roman*
Idk, I think this one's bigger
@@sixstringtv1 I think TTS is the be biggest modern one. I think Ed Roman had a bigger effect because to this day you have to check and see if a vintage Neal Moser-built guitar was actually made by him.
What is the Donald Trump approach? Pls explain
Haven't we learned not to trust anyone with "Benedict " in their name?
Love the Moo Moo Homer hoodie
Ok I'm convinced. Where do I go to invest in TTM?
I own a ttm demo guitar with cc DeVille inlaid in the neck. It's the worst guitar I've ever owned. he built a few of them for cc and he declined lol
How is it 😆
The Donald Trump approach, you just lost me with that BS.
The "Donald Trump" approach???🤨 Super original.
Never heard about this guy. Its worse than that one guy that was taking joyo pedals, covering up the joyo logo on the pcb's, piggybacking a couple extra parts on to the pcb, repainting the pedal housings and selling them as his own.
Note to self: steal this idea but do less work and make more money
@15:00 Any thief / con-man is a certifiable garbage excuse for a human being. Stealing someone's hard earned money is terrible enough but then to try and rob a person of their livelihood and destroy that persons ability to provide for themselves and family is absolutely inexcusable and unforgivable. I'm glad that person, whomever it may be was able to escape having their professional business license(s) revoked simply for trusting the wrong guy. Everyone should always be very careful about who you choose to potentially go into business with.
What the hell does your Trump reference mean??
Sounds like our current president. who would have thought
Mark Kendall of Great White still uses TTM I believe
Ah yes, I always enjoyed Megedeth.
There are actually some of these guitars listed on Reverb.
I was into megedeth before anyone, when they were called megetalica
I remember that the guitar player in the house band on Eric Andre show played one of these guitars. I remember thinking wtf and laughing when I saw what TTM stood for.
What a weirdly specific place to find one of these guitars 🤣
What can I use my Million Six String Credits on?
I disagree with not contacting TTM. Contact them to fck with them
Came here via your more recent vid of this, even though I’ve already seen this, doing it again cause support 🤟🏻
