The string stretcher is great honestly. Eddies guitar tech swore by those for years and I agree with him. Makes stretching the strings easy and fast. I use 2 because when you slide them back and forth the friction makes them hot.

string stretchers are great to get rid of the looseness of the strings at the pegs, not rob one of precious practice but it really stabilized the instrument thus preventing playing out of tune for an hour.
I agree with all but one of those reviews, The string stretcher is actually a good product. Not sure why you dont stretch your strings when you first put them on but that device makes the stretching process go faster. You are actually supposed to put it on the string like you had it and slide it up and down a few times. The Ali express version is probably made much cheaper than the version I got earlier this year.

It's actually a good product. You set it up on the string and use very light pressure from your hand to run it up and down the string a couple times then retune until it doesn't go out of tune. Usually 3 tries and you are done. I didn't get mine from aliexpress though. I got the string stretcha which is made in USA. Probably no difference and I over paid, but it works great.
I love those string stretchers. I used to work in a music shop and had to set up multiple guitars a day and those stretchers saved my fingers a multitude of pain. Stretching strings by had all day really builds up the pain.
I came here to take up for the "string stretcher", but looks like MANY ppl beat me to it lol. For 30+ years I've ALWAYS stretched the strings by hand in that same fashion when installing new strings. I start by pressing the first fret, pull up on the string in a few different spots to stretch it, & repeat all the way down the fretboard - skipping every other fret or so - and continue doing so for every string. I find that the process saves me a lot of "break-in" time & provides much more tuning stability right off the bat. So that product would actually be very useful for me. In fact I'm going to order one right now! 😊
13:30... If you spent 5 to 10 minutes stretching them by pulling the strings with your fingers you wouldn't have to retune constantly and do all that bending. Not sure why you've never heard of doing this (or choose not to do this)... This tool makes it so you don't need to work your hands raw from stretching them with your fingers. If i remember correctly, the original manufacturer of the tool sells theirs for about $12 on Amazon, but i can't imagine a $4 knock off would be all too different.

Just as everyone else is saying.
You had me until the string stretching, that’s the epitome of a boomer take.
String stretching is absolutely something you should do, and you don’t have to “break in” your strings by playing to be validated. 30 minutes of out of tune playing is measurably less effective than 30 minutes of in tune playing, so stretch your strings.
Although the product is kind of a waste, just stretch them with your hands as a habit when you put on a fresh set of strings
Does anyone know which riff he plays on 11:52 ?
I'll see the light tonight by Yngwie
@@sixstringtv1 Thank you very much, keep up the good work.
wait hold up, do you not stretch your strings after putting them on? i know a lot of people don't stretch them enough but i've never heard of anyone who just straight up doesn't do it.
I use my hands to do that. It's called playing
@@sixstringtv1 I use my hands to stretch my strings too. I do it before playing so they're at my preferred tension right away. I hate floppy strings so why wouldn't I?
@@sixstringtv1 you have obviously not broken a string in a live situation and had no back up hence a bar gig. You don’t have the luxury of a half hour to break it in. Just saying
@@sixstringtv1 then again you’re only like 17 so the bar scene is still out of reach. I do love your content so I’m not being disrespectful just pointing out it is actually a great product and you weren’t using it properly to begin with. That’s also a knock off of the real String Stretcha.
1) The bar scene in Germany is not out of reach for a 17 year old
2) If that does happen, hust use your hands don't buy this junk
