The motif of the antagonists who collectively call themselves Organization XIII is the backbone of the entire Kingdom Hearts score's dark side. Their theme - named here to include the short-lived fourteenth member - is purposeful and brooding, yet hollow. It is the musical reflection of a group whose hearts and emotions were lost long ago.

In celebration of KINGDOM HEARTS and the stunning melodies of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito, we present Project Destati’s second volume.
DARKNESS is the highly-anticipated follow-up album to Project Destati’s 2014 Billboard-charting soundtrack album “LIGHT.” The album is a musical amalgamation of fan-favorite themes from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, re-assembled in an all-new fashion like long-forgotten memories.
Featuring a live string orchestra and industry-leading soloists, DARKNESS is a dark, grand, and mysterious musical experience that aims to capture Tetsuya Nomura’s own imagination.

Like the late Dr. Frankenstein and his undead creation, it's technically Vexen's Monster
The inclusion of the bell is what instantly hooks me into it. This theme NEEEDED that bell.
Zaxnyir the Therapist sounds like a church bell on a a day someone’s died which is ironic since all of the nobody’s have lost their hearts

Of all the tracks in the album, I think it has the most "darkness" feel to it. It sounds like a distant memory that tells the story of Org. XIII and all its members' dark ambitions, friendship struggles, hopeful dreams and losses. You can really feel all the sorrow that involves Xion, Roxas and Axel, as well as the dark yet hollow obsession involving Xemnas, Saix, Xigbar and even Marluxia. It also makes me think of both a creepy moonlight sky and a sad warm sunset, probably because of Xion's Theme and Sacred Moon in there. This is beautifully haunting and deep. And what else I can say, those bells are freaking awesome! Thank you, Destati.
Darker and more sinister than the KH2 version........I love it (I mean it’s Project Destati, how could you not love it)

Yes, the "background" violin from around 3:00 on are playing xion's theme
You also hear the "Grey Area" theme from 358/2 days

I can't believe how long it too me to notice that this song was called 'Organization XIV' instead of 'Organization XIII'.
Like others have said thanks for including Xion! I like to imagine that this is the theme she'd hear if we played her side in the story.

Pitiful Heartless, mindlessly collecting hearts. And yet they know not the true power of what they hold. The rage of the Keyblade, releases those hearts. They gather in darkness, masterless and free....until they weave together to make Kingdom Hearts. And when that time comes we can truly, finally exist.

Organization XIV!!! I love the music! I have to say, Saix, yes there are 13 chairs, but Axel(Lea?) eliminated almost half of the other members. Surely Xion is able to sit in one of those chairs.
This is so good that I'm concerned for Kingdom Hearts III's soundtrack.

there's a crucial difference in videogame music, and normal music... destati has normal music, doesn't loop, doesn't has to follow the scene and can easly change the mood many times, you don't have to concern about KH3 music because is going to be awesome, but you can't mix normal and videogame music
So far it's rocking, perfect blend of new and reimagined originals. SPOILERS Theres a Battle where a remake of night of fate plays and it's amazing.
I have no words to describe how amazing this is. There isn't a single adjective in my vocabulary that would do it justice.

I love how at the 3 minute mark, it's almost as if the music itself is trying hard to remember Xion, but doesn't quite succeed.

This one has a special feeling to it mixed with so many themes, The world that never was, organization 13 from kh2 and 358/2 days, Xion's theme seems mixed in, so many feelings!

Wow. To me this sounds like Roxas time with the organization. The cold and distant beginning, but getting more lively as time passes, the bell being there all the time, representing the clock tower. And then that part with Xion's theme. It gets almost bright even, until it suddenly stops with the sound of the bell -the final battle between Roxas and Xion at the tower. After that it gets cold again. But anger is stirring. It doesn't last long before the entire song ends and fades away.
It's been 8 years.... Xion, I miss you!

I've been listening to your stuff these last few days and I've gotta say, they're fantastic pieces of work, especially this one. I would love to hear a version without the bells however, despite actually liking how it gives out a feeling of it taking place in a specific setting (Like near the bells of a church), it kinda distracts too much from that first tone of the Organization's leitmotif for my liking. It's all personal preference however, the song is still some of the most fantastic fan-made covers I've heard in a good while. ^_^

This was apparently to bad ass for my speakers lol, thought it was meant to sound all broken up and shit in the beginning because of the title (a slight hint of that would actually have been cool) until I lowered the volume, awesome stuff :)
