    I just did the mod on a ''23 Wrangler 4 cylinder Turbo JL 2 door. Locating the proper connector for the module / cable was most difficult. You can do it without standing on your head. There are two fabric covered cables just behind / forward of the OBD connector. They both have black connectors.
    On my yr vehicle the 12 pin connector was the one toward the center of the vehicle.. Even with fat fingers I was able to release the connector. From there you are home free. Eliminating the Aux battery is the rest of the mod. There are 2 cables going to the negative terminal mounted atop a solid state relay. Remove and isolate the smaller of the two cables. Then remove fuse 42 from the fuse block. It disables the solid state relay.
    My situation was the Aux battery was dead and killed the main battery. Once on the dealer's lot, and then was working on their replacement when I got it home.

    soooo..if you have to go to the dealer for warranty work do you have to remove this from the vehicle prior??? asking for a friend :)

    Jeep should just make the button to disable remember your setting. This EPA BS controlling everything is ridiculous. It doesn't save fuel and it causes more wear and tear on the starter.

      Actually, not supposed to since it is not a full stop and doesn't crank the starter like a cold start.

    Wonder if it’s better to just jump to the Tazer. At $99 it isn’t that far of an upgrade.

    so looking at adding this because as many have rxperienced this system kills the "extra"battery which then kills the main battery. So if you know if this eliminates the "extra" battery dying because it would alwsys be off let me know. Replacing both batteries at $650 plus because of this system sucks and i want to elimiate the extra battery dying.

    How does the Autostop Eliminator affect the 2.0L E-Torque system, specifically, does it have any affect on the 48V recharging functionality?

    So people with big hands get ready for some misery, prepare for trim screws to cut you to pieces. Hard place to get too laying on your back with seat rail gouging you. Really should pull facia and front speaker to make this easier. Picked this up on ebay for 60 bucks because a dude just didn't want to mess with it. Works great but 5 minutes going in the blind aint going to happen.

    Is it really so hard to just push 1 button?

    • @VIRTUALxMAYHEM
      @VIRTUALxMAYHEM 4 года назад +3

      Besides being inconvenient just imagine your at a intersection and when you need to gas it to get to the lane you need it takes like 1-2 seconds to start moving and if you gas it too much itll get all the gas all at once causing the jeep to jerk off the stop sign unexpectedly which besides being unsafe, it's very hard on the jeep

    • @mkhpv
      @mkhpv 4 года назад +3

      VIRTUALxMAYHEM I have JL, so when I get into the car I press button to start the engine and while it starts (1 second maybe?) I have plenty of time to push the button to switch off startstop function. I mean - 1 second, or may be half a second to push the button 😬

      VIRTUALxMAYHEM I don't understand still, make yourself a rule - entered the car - push 2 buttons 1 after another. It's like what if you're in a hurry and forget to put it to D before taking off or hold on the brake while you push engine start button.

    I don't understand people wanting to disable this feature. Just don't press brake pedal fully. Jeep still stay put but doesn't kill the motor.! I know exactly how i need to press the brake pedal to activate the autostop feature.
