    Pushing the button just turns it off when driving & it doesn't help the issue , which is the small bat. Draining and your remote start not working so eliminating it is the way to go !!! Won't have to worry about the small bat. And remote start will continue to work .. also the seat belt thing does work .I personally like Jscan better not only cause it's way cheaper but I find it does about everything tazer does but I believe tazer might have one or two brand specific things it does. All in it cost me less than 80 bucks to use Jscan & I can buy more vins where tazer is vehicle specific. Oh if you read the comments ( i hope so ) in your description you have the tazer link in for both tazer & Jscan not Jscan's link lol

    i think just turning it off will not solve the problem long term, I always turned mine off by the switch, it was muscle memory, and three years in aux battery dead. I love that little add on but long term I dont think its going to work. Plus, just not sure about leaving a dead LI battery in the vehicle, those things get unstable over time

    I don’t own a Rubicon, but I do have a Jeep Cherokee Latitude and that auto start on off has been nothing but a headache! I believe that theory that the feature drains the extra battery, but now I’m also starting to believe that it puts a strain on the starter. My warranty just expired 1,000 miles ago and guess what?? I have to replace that extra battery PLUS the starter, and it’s not cheap!! 😡 I’m just going to turn it off on the dashboard from here on out

    Fyi not all auto start stops have a second battery. Ours is a rubicon 2021 with auto start and main battery shorted. Went to oreillys and bought both batteries pulled main one out followed a RUclips video were the second battery was torn it apart supported to be under the fuse panel and there was a compartment but no second battery. Called dealer parts department and using the vin there was no second battery on my rubicon ever installed at the factory. No extra cables for it either. Saved me 100.00 bucks

    2023 Wrangler Rubicon, I believe there must be a sequence that activates the feature… (I haven’t figured it out yet) as I Normally enter my Jeep, start & drive off, Auto start/stop seldom activates…. My jeep mostly never has the feature activated… I don’t know why, but I’m glad something may not be working properly ;)

      Your aux battery is likely dead. Check the status of the start/ stop on the information screen.

    • @slickar2752
      @slickar2752 5 месяцев назад

      If theaux battery was dead, the Jeep wouldn’t start.

    • @ernesttaylor967
      @ernesttaylor967 5 месяцев назад

      No the main battery only starts the Jeep. Tha aux battery is used to assist the main in running accessories while the engine is off in a stop/start situation.

    I Live in the dessert and let me tell you sitting at a light and the engine goes off and since all the components for the Air-conditioner are NOT electric you only get hot air blowing. So, I have disabled the star-stop feature.

    Jscan does not cost this much. My whole setup was 50 bucks tops. License is what 20 maybe? Much cheaper than that tazer garbage, and you don't have to leave it plugged in. It's a superior method, basically what a dealer would do hooking up their gear and making changes to the on board systems that last.

    Can’t you just tape the hood sensors down and zip tie them off to the side?

    • @skyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy90
      @skyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy90 8 месяцев назад

      He said you can remove and tie down to the side, but you do not want the
      hood sensor compressed therefore taping it down is not what you should do.

    • @TylerJ-rs1lt

      That would do the same thing as the hood already does, defeating the purpose entirely

    I don't own an 'auto start stop' vehicle, but I had a thought about the (VERY STUPID) idea with the seatbelt.
    Im not sure of the sensing method for seatbelt connection, but if it completes an electrical circuit, you could try painting the metal insert with a non-conductive coating. (It seems unlikely though, as I doubt there is a conductor running through the actual belt, but that would be the best design to make it more difficult for people to bypass.
    Just a thought(VERY STUPID, lol)... Can, or do, people buy seatbelt inserts, so they can fool the car into believing the belt is connected?

    If you've not tested Method #3 (not using the driver's seatbelt), why include it in the video and the "5 ways..." title?
    This is doubly relevant since you then immediately attempt to distance yourself from the very suggestion you just presented.
    Give some thought to editing the video title and its content, lest you get caught up in any legal action by a viewer who follows your instruction and comes to harm, and then circles back to this presentation.
    Your channel has practical, accessible content for the home DIYer. 👍It'd be unfortunate if it was adversely affected by liability issues.

    Just remove the stupid damned battery for the start/stop, tape of the hot (really well) and jumper the N1 and N2 posts up at the (by) the fuse box, the fuse block, done! Stupid worthless feature. Just look this up: Jeep 3.6L Aux Battery Bypass

    • @zamiredfor1796
      @zamiredfor1796 5 месяцев назад +1

      Excellent… connecting N1 N2 post was the charm.. Delete red fuse that control start stop… and disconnect/ remove the aux battery tape up negative and finally connect the positive of aux to the main battery…. Job done for my 2020 JT gladiator

      Ps: putting. Fuse between n1 and. The N2 pole is dangerous and not needed… lost a 30amp and 40amp fuse… not needed.

      Actually, the government is making the car companies do it by the fuel economy standards. My Wrangler has it and I had a 2017 Toyota Highlander with it also. I don't like it and figure the money I save on gas will be wasted on the cost of a replacement starter one day. So, I push the darn button each time I drive.
