I was colour matched by my hairdresser who had the zala swatches & it was so easy to just go on the website & find the product I was after & it arrived so quickly! Great video! How come the darker shade won’t bleed over to the highlight when washing? And when you tone all over, does it only tone the lightened parts?
I am a new stylist out of school. I have a friend who is about a level 7. She wants to be a level 4 like this with a few blonde balayage pieces throughout. So I could just apply the 4 to the roots and blend the lightener up into the 4 like you did?
So at 5:06 you stated not to mix the lightener with the dark color while applying to her hair. But then at technique 3 that's exactly what you did to melt. I'm a little confused.😅
Mandy Brennan hi! I stated that you need to be clean when applying so to make sure you wipe your hands so you don’t have dark on your gloves while applying lightener and it mixing together and getting splotchy. Does that make a little more sense? :)
Someone help! I've booked in for a balayage and my hair salon but I mentioned I wanted a dark balayage (from blonde to dark brown). Have I booked in for the correct thing

Just show her the ends results from the video. Never try and explain to your hairstylist always try and show a photo or video of what you want so there’s no miscommunication.
Frida, do saturate the entire root area (as you’re brushing on all those individual pieces), or do you leave an inch or less of the roots uncolored? Thanks!
Do you put eq shades on wet hair or dry hair and can you do either or let’s say you lightened someone with a full balayage , leaving out the root to give a nice root shadow but wanna tone the lightened pieces that were rinsed
You can do either way! So when i'm lowlighting and I want to use shades I would use the cream developer and put it on dry hair and then at the shampoo bowl you can tone all over which would tone the lighter pieces! So many ways to use SHADES EQ

khaled K I wouldn’t recommend that, you’ll end up going backwards in your process of going lighter and you’ll likely end up with more of a brassy tone than you’d like

What toner did you use? And did you apply toner all over or only to the lightened parts?
It's said in video at 12:31 mark and I apply everywhere but toner will only effect the lightened parts.
