Happy birthday! My daughter is around your age and like you, she has had a couple of surgeries due to disc issues. Beyond the pain, there was a lot of frustration being so young and not being able to do the things all of her friends could do. Her jerk of a boyfriend dumped her before her surgery because of this. Her back is doing well, but the years of physical stress caused hip problems that will require more surgery. We spent yesterday getting her an MRI in preparation for this. The cow seems so nice. Its sad to see her hoof so badly damaged... But addressing it and getting her on the mend is such a nice feeling. Hopefully she can feel some relief with what has been done. Also good luck to Kevin on his back operation. Its nice to see that everyone is going to feel relief soon. Lovely and keep up the nice videos.
Two things: 1. Kevin, I wish you a safe and speedy recovery from your operation. 2. What a massive uptick in the quality of videos guys. It looked and sounded great and I REALLY appreciated the cards with definitions and parts of the cow's hoof on them. Keep up the great work!

Awesome job, again. This is one that should be on the list to revisit in the coming months to see how she is healing. Prayers to Kevin & his surgeon that the operation will be very successful and as pain free as possible.
Yes, Graeme. The shedding horn explanation was very clear. I understood perfectly. That poor lady looked like she had current jam stuffed under her hoof horn. I look forward to seeing her progress. Best of luck also to Kevin and a speedy and effective recovery! Thanks also for letting us know who is married to whom. I've been curious for a while now and makes much more sense.
I've been watching for a few weeks, but this is my first time commenting. Mostly to say that what you do is wonderful. That poor cow with her poorly foot, and you're doing your absolute best to make it better. I love watching you take care of all these animals (and Craig! I saw the episode where he was trimming and tipped the crush during my binge of your vids yesterday! Poor sausage was all fret about what you were going to say, and you were just as nice to him as you are to all these cows. Total respect to you for that one). Best of luck to Kevin for his op, and a speedy recovery (but no rushing things!). He could replace Craig as the coffee maker if he gets a bit of cabin fever and needs out. It would be great to see how he's getting on as he recovers. PS: Dead jealous of you getting to hug the cows... They're so cute!
My uncle had this problem a while back, but the NHS was in a much better position back then and got him the surgery he needs. I hope the surgery goes well and Kevin feels better soon ❤ Also, hats off to Graham for looking after his family. I know a fair few people who would shrug and say it wasn't their problem. It's good to know there are some genuinely caring people still out there 🙂
Cows are beautiful creatures and really do love some fuss. Also, I am glad & privileged to be able to help Kevin just by enjoying your videos (win-win) - thank you!
Great video, that girl will be loving you almost as much as Kevin for her relief. Your openness is appreciated Graham you don’t need to tell us that but it does feel good knowing he’s getting help x
Cow 4687, when she came out of the crush, her hooves slipped and I think that is why she was walking gingerly. I love that you explain what you are doing and the possible cause of hoof injuries. I just recently came across your RUclips site and have been enjoying you and your brother-in-laws. I’m almost 71 years (born and raised in California and now live in Idaho) old and have a son that is most likely close to your age. You always put a smile on my face and I love your accent. Crack on! I like the way you don't screw around with the hoof, an educated knowledge of what's wrong is amazing, get it done, make her more comfortable and out of the chute before brachial nerve damage is done.
Oh my gosh! So much positivity! We watch and learn, and you make enough to help someone like Kevin, all while doing what you love and helping the cows! Wins all around! Good on you, mate!
I literally never thought about hoofs until one of your videos popped up. I’m obsessed. Thank you for taking such good care of these beautiful animals.
Best of luck to Kevin! I’ve had a massive back operation 22 years ago. Best advice I can give is to do your exercises afterwards, but always be cautious with it. It’s never as good as the original model. Mine was done putting a patient back to bed, moving the wrong way at the wrong time to keep her from falling. Poor Polly! 💔🐄 could feel myself wincing as you trimmed Graeme. Hope she further mended next time we see her. And yes, that powder needing to be gone made sense to me. What is the indication for the embryonic paste vs the salicylic acid? I tried looking up the embryonic paste but all it said was how to purchase it. 🤷♀️ the clear scrub you use is antibacterial, but not as caustic as something with iodine. (I also scrubbed in cases in operating rooms). ….from Nashville, Tennessee….❤

@@cindyknudson2715 my specialist really doesn’t recommend these as your muscles become weaker because of the added “support”. I’ve tried them before and I definitely agree so wouldn’t recommend them.
@@JimLambier I can definitely relate to your daughters frustration with being unable to do “normal” things that your friends are doing and I’ve never come across anyone my age with the same problems. Her ex boyfriend sounds horrid and she seems well rid of him but i understand it’s never that easy when she is the one going through it. She has enough to deal with without dealing with an idiot like him. I really hope the mri went well and she gets some good news soon and her pain eases. If your daughter ever needs someone to speak to or relate to then I’m happy to message her, just reply to this comment :)
Well, I will say I'm glad he came out of surgery. Great, but a lond wait for recovery. 😢😢❤❤❤❤ KEVIN,
I will pray for your brother in law and your patient. I love seeing the love you have for both humans and animals. Hope everything works out for both of them. God bless y'all.
How amazing that just by us watching you have been able to fund the operation! Best of luck Kev, hope it goes smoothly!
Long term watcher, infrequent commenter!
ditto
Me too
Me three! (I've had my back operated on; the pain relief was heavenly!)
I love the walkout! The cow always turns around to thank you, and is always feeling better. Kevin, you're going on my prayer list. Keep well, y'all!
Bless her. Fingers crossed for a full recovery. Good luck Kevin speedy recovery to you too!
When you were finished with the hoof, there was more viable hoof left than I thought there would be. Awesome job! Prayers for Kevin!
So pleased to know our subscriptions go to help such a top bloke like Kev. I hope all goes well with the op and a speedy recovery. ❤️❤️❤️
Same. I would rather the money go to back surgeries for people who need them than whatever 95% of youtubers do with their money. Kudos to HGP
Wishing you well, Kevin! Thank you Graeme and subscribers/members for helping this member of our larger family out!
youtube finally showed me this trim. im so glad to have been a fan the last couple of years. I love it when tubers tell us the good that we viewers enable even beyond their primary content. Im glad you were able to make the money to heal your brother! you are a good man!
I'm absolutely terrified of cows, but I am also absolutely addicted to this channel 🤷♀️ 😆
Thank you for all you do to make these critters as comfortable as possible ❤
I herniated my back in 2003 when I was in the military. Took 5 months to get my surgery done. Worst pain I have ever had. Good luck Kevin. You have a long recovery in front of you.
All the best for his surgery and recovery!!!!
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, No!!! it’s HoofGP to the rescue. Keep up the amazing work ❤️
I'm so glad that I saw your program again. I've been away for a while working. Please tell your brother-in-law I hope he has a successful surgery and he's able to heal in due time.
Graeme. Back for a second look at this video. I love to watch you work your magic. I do hope Kevin's operation went well and that he has healed by now. I will still pray for him, for you, and for your wonderful family. If I could move to Scotland - I'd move. :-) Thank you my friend.
This video (and the info about Kevin's surgery) is exactly what I needed today. It's been a long rough week.
Best to Kevin during surgery and a speedy recovery.
I used to live by a dairy farm, never saw a hoof trimmer over there. I have learned alot from you!
I hope the surgery goes well and Kevin feels better soon ❤
Also, hats off to Graham for looking after his family. I know a fair few people who would shrug and say it wasn't their problem. It's good to know there are some genuinely caring people still out there 🙂
Totally agree. His family is proud of him I’m sure.
Crack on! Please keep sharing your work, your beautiful wife, your children and brother-in-laws. 😊♥️🤗🥰
If the hoof is shedding, the block will shed off too…..clearly makes sense.🙂
just found your channel randomly. and just when i thought it was an amazing thing you're doing for these cows....then you go and spend your channel revenue to help your brother in law's back surgery. amazing. simply amazing what you do for every living being around you. subscribed for sure. guess you can say i'm part of the herd
I like the way you don't screw around with the hoof, an educated knowledge of what's wrong is amazing, get it done, make her more comfortable and out of the chute before brachial nerve damage is done.
all the best to Kevin with his operation and speedy recovery
That poor cow! I'm so glad you care about cows and take care of them with compassion and talent. You're a hero!
Poor girl, you know that was very painful! So glad you helped her like you did! You are so gentle and care so deeply for these animals!!!
I'm always touched by how caring y'all are with the cattle...your channel has helped me see cattle in a whole new light! Respect!!
Kevin, hope your surgery goes well. We enjoy watching you guys working. Thank you.
Sending Best Wishes from Memphis for Kevin to have a speedy recovery! Love to see how much you are able to help the cows feel and walk better. Cheers!
In the paste I think there is salicylic acid and iodine among the other ingredients.
@@westzed23 thanks! I was convinced that there was some secret recipe in it that helped the healing process….🤷♀️😂❤️
I hope Kevin's back surgery goes well and that his recovery is an easy one.
Sending the best wishes to Kevin for a speedy recovery, a solid recovery, and a good many days of recuperation!
I just started watching these. So addicting. I think I missed my calling I wanted to be a vet when I was a kid. Thats so awesome what you do for all of these cows in helping them to get healed up and feeling better. I would volunteer to pet the cows while you're working on them!! Thanks for helping all of these guys!!
That poor cow. Her hoof has got to be the worst one I’ve seen since I started watching your videos sir!!! 😳The before and after was awesome. I hope you do a follow up on this one to see how she recovers. Great job guys. Hope your brother in law’s back surgery goes well. 🙏 for him.
What a fantastic job you do Graeme! You care so much for the cows and their comfort. Sending prayers to Kevin for a complete and speedy recovery from his back surgery.
I love your scottish accent. That's probably why I keep watching these videos, as I have nothing to do with cows exept with eating milk produits. But I also like to watch the different treatments you do to make the cows feel better. I feel like I'm learning something important even though I'll never get to use that knowledge. I can even sometimes guess what the problem is.
Keep on doing these videos. They're surely useful to cow owners and carers. 😊
Thank you for the compassion you have for the animals. I am just an average person that watches because I love animals.
I wish Kevin well in his recovery.
Best wishes for Kevin during surgery and a complete recovery.
I'm actually in tears for this poor girl. The amount of pain she must be in!!! My heart just breaks for her!!! I so wish animals could talk and let us know when something is bothering them. You do such a wonderful job fixing them up. I sure hope you do follow ups on this girl!!! I know this is going to be a long healing process!!! Sending her lots and lots of prayers!!! Stay blessed Graeme!!! Love you guys!!! ❤️🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Also praying for your brother in law and a successful surgery!!! I'm glad I could be a tiny part of making that happen!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
