Can we name her something? #886 sounds bit inhumane. she looks like a Darcy to me.

not sure how the RUclips algorithm led me here but I am not disappointed
Welcome to the fold, forget sleep 🤣
That is exactly what I was thinking. I like can't look away
@@stevenbacon-cheddar9914 you were right. I've watched so many of these videos. The care for dairy cows is something thats never come across my life until this channel and its led me down a rabbit hole of things I never thought i wanted to know and thing I have no reason knowing.
Same!
Me too. I have no association to cows, medicine, farms or anything but this guy is so wholesome and gets to much joy from helping animals. It makes my heart smile
Oh boy when you lifted 886’s front I almost cried. So proud of your ability to give her relief.

I sincerely hope RUclips doesn’t demonetize this video. Yes it is definitely not something to watch while at the supper table, but the educational value of it for everyone is worth it staying monetized.
@Sun Flower He didn't say he was uncomfortable, he was just pointing something out.

Agreed, not only educational, it is wholesome in a wat, at least in my humble opinion.
It wont be demonetized, these videos are helping the plan.

Yes, yes, yes!
Me too, it's been at least a week so cow #886 should be doing much better. Thankfully he got to her when she did or she would have ultimately lost her life as she would have been lamed by the damage done to her hoof. I do hope he will post an update soon or the multiple cow's he has had to really do serious medical care for.
I do agree with you
Sorry folks ate her
Before I found your channel, I looked at cows as just food. Now, I’ve learned so much and I really do feel bad for these animals. What you do for these animals is just wonderful. You’ve been given a gift. If these cows could talk, they would thank you for all your hard work. I love your channel..

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed your video and I am now a subscriber, I'm from the US(florida) and I am a disabled veteran and suffer from PTSD and videos like yours help keep my anxiety and panic attacks under control, thank you so much, God bless you and your family.
Videos like this help with my anxiety too!
I live in Tennessee and have been to your beautiful state. Every time I find a person that has served for our country, I am so thankful for your service. I am deeply sorry for what you are dealing with. I have anxiety for many different reasons, but in your life what you have been through is nothing I can begin to understand. I am glad this post helps you. It's wonderful to see compassionate men be kind and help livestock. I enjoy learning about this, too.
I pray your problems subside as time goes on.
I love that you explain the different setups people have for their cattle, and that you don't belittle any of them.
The longer the video the better! I could watch for hours!! Your such a God send for these beautiful animals
I don't normally like vlogging style videos, but you are so enjoyable to watch, the perfect combination of humor and compassion. Thank you for treating these animals so well. 💗
It puts a smile on my face knowing there are people like you helping animals in need. Thank you!
Good to see the barter system is still alive and well!
886 is such a lovely girl, i just want to hug that long nose and pet those floppy ears, I hope she makes a full recovery.
I love the ahahah sounds you make to keep the cows staying in order. I rescued a greyhound that I make the exact same sounds too. Thanks for helping the girls and making my day better.

Hi, Graeme. I love these videos you create. You’re a wonderful teacher. And as long as you’re making these, I’ll be watching them. Have a wonderful day!
886 is one of the most beautiful cows I’ve seen in my 17 years of living on a dairy farm.
When you were explaining what happened to the cow with the Digital dermatitis there were three cows behind you that were paying very close attention to what you were saying. I thought that was rather special. Thank you for all the great videos you guys do.

No wonder she was limping like she was, with a huge, major abscess like that, poor girl. It's so nice to see you care so deeply for these cows like you do, when you're treating their wounds. You are the best at what you do because of your compassion for these cows. Thank you! ❤🐄🐮

I've been following so long that I got excited when he started finding more of the abscess. I love seeing them find all of it to help those girls heal.🥰
This was a great episode. It was nice seeing what it is like showing up to a farm that isn't ready and waiting for you. The selection process, the chase, the trim, and the service for stone trade information was all great. Thanks!
Wow! That poor cow! How she held up till you got to help her out, will never know. It's great to see all the help you give to the cows, bulls, and farmers too. You do awesome job!

As I sat watching Cow 886, I cried tears for her. Knowing how much pain she was in. I do "enjoy" watching the videos, and seeing the improvement of each cow, after Gram does his magic on the "gals" hoofs. .Keep up the fantastic work on all of the cows. Amen to you and your "side kick".

I can only imagine how wonderful the cows feel after being worked on. What a relief! Some of these injuries are gnarly!
Thank you so much for helping that poor little girl! I cried all through the video 😔
it’s so sad, because you can’t tell the cows that it’s gonna hurt for a good cause, they just think you’re torturing them, even though you’re helping them
Thats not true. I dont have cows but i can tell you how it was with my Pet Rats.
One of them got sick 1 Weeks after we got them. He was extremly shy and feared but we had to get him out so we can treat his cold because it was really Bad. You could hear him breathing trough a door, so bad was it(it sounded like a duck).
Anyway, since then he is the one that trust us the most, loves to cuddle and likes us the most.
The other 3 are very handsome too but he is the most of them. That all Just because he was sick.
I can say you, animals can relate that. If your treat is for a good thing or not. The most if they have pain, you do something on it that give it more pain but immidiatly(forget the word) gets better.
I think about 99.5% of the time they feel instantly better to a degree because he removes whatever is putting literally TONS of pressure on their most sensitive nerves, cleans it up, and adds those hoof blocks to take all the weight off the wounds.
It’s like having a big splinter or rock removed from underneath an infected finger or toenail, it would definitely hurt for a second but right after you’d be so relieved….
You can tell from how they walk out of the crush too. Poor cow went from unable to walk to actually moo-ving ;)

Hey Graeme, great videos and knowledge sharing every time! Loving it! I guess you keep the farmer well informed and they have to decide if the vet needs to be called to support the healing with antibiotics as well. Tough call because that would also take her milk production offline for the duration. Either way I'm so glad you were able to help and immediately improve her comfort. Thank you for doing what you do!

Orthopedic surgery often uses power drills
During my paramedic clinicals, I did a rotation through the OR. Watched an orthopedic surgeon use a Dewalt power drill to drill holes into a femur to place anchors and what not.
Orthopaedic surgery is also typically a lot faster than this kind of thing.
Since the patient is under anaesthetic and anaesthetic carries risk, the surgeon has to be as quick as possible so they don't have to use too much anaesthetic.
