    For your question of "Is there life without coffee?" - my husband and I are dairy farmers in Canada- I have an iced coffee some mornings after milking, or after a morning walk on days I'm not in the barn, but he hates the stuff. He makes himself a glass of chocolate milk and that gives him the joy and energy he needs to get from task to task lol

    My uncle is a dairy farmer, and the well-being of the cows has always been his main concern (as it should be), and that sentiment rubbed off on me growing up as I spent a lot of time at the farm. Seeing your videos always make me happy, because of the care, love and attention to detail that you put in when making sure these beautiful animals are happy and healthy.

    When you started talking about the radial nerve I IMMEDIATELY understood. I just had my second neck surgery back in May and it was because of my radial nerve in my left arm. The nerve pain it can cause is pretty intense, and that is coming from a guy who has also had three back surgeries and has crews and rods from the S1 to the T4, which is basically from the top of my backside to my shoulders. May of last year was the third surgery on my back. I was opened up for that whole amount of my spine and was on the table for 13.5 hours. It was intense and the radial nerve pain was pretty close to exceeding it.

      Had spinal surgery all my life and yeah, you've hit the nail on the head about nerves. Worst pain ever, if I had to gauge pains 16 hours and waking up was like being burned, frozen, and electrocuted all at once. I still get nerve pain, but now I'm medicated so it's not so bad. Much milder. Best of luck to a fellow spine enjoyer!

    • @elinebrock5660
      @elinebrock5660 Год назад

      @@MissingmyBabbuhave your doctors talked to you about CRPS (chronic regional pain syndrome)? It causes the type of severe pains you are describing-- red, hot, swelling, burninng, stabbing, shooting pain. It is basically overactive messages from the nerves to the brain.
      There is no cure, but it can be treated with stellate ganglion blocks, a process by which lidocaine is injected into the nerve bundle near your trachea. It works wonders, but needs to be repeated. Over time.
      Nerve pain is the worst!

Some of us brits don't like tea :) my American ex in laws, extended family and friends were a tad obsessed by offering me tea and wanted to know if we always use a tea cup & saucer, nope, we don't
      Can keep the cakes too, I don't much like them or biscuits/cookies but I'm allergic to those ingredients too. But, I don't miss them.
      I always found my ex & in laws didn't even say hello if they saw neighbours, when my ex was here he sent me a text to ask what to do because an elderly lady was talking to him at the bus stop. That's completely natural here, I have blackouts & every time I've done it in public people have rushed to help me. I'm in north eastern England, so not that far from Grahame, but people I know from the South have commented that it's much more friendly here. :)

    Is that the "Kevin of old"? Been Likely a year+ since I've been able to follow you great folks! The same sidekick/apprentice we always observed present during regular trimming visits?
    Name doesn't click, but it's probably me. Quite happy for your success: new equipment; etc. And certain you've 'spread the wealth" to those in assistance to your good fortune. You've clearly exemplified beautiful character traits all along! God Bless.

    I love your videos but the reason I love them so much is not because of the amazing work you do, it's actually mostly because of the commentary you give and the brilliant mindset you carry with you throughout everything you do. I think you're a great rolemodel. Love your content 💚

    I stumbled upon this page during the pandemic, last year I was able to help a new yuppie farmer(the kind who move from a big city and buy a farm because they want to "live off the land") they had cows what were lame, and just going lightly and remembering what I learned in the vids, I was able to trim, and medicate some whiteline defects and sores. It really made me want to choose this as a profession but Where I live there arent many farms left with large herds, and there are already a handful of farriers struggling to find work. Dont want to move as I love the catskills of NY but idk where to start. I just live this channel and the content. Keep up the great work everyone!

    Love the idea of planning out when you’re going to take breaks. I do the same at work, setting appointments with myself I call oases. It’s so much easier to get start to oasis to lunch to oasis to finish. I’m also much fresher and better able to think when I resume working if I take a break. That’s to the point where skipping breaks is counterproductive. Taking breaks, I work less and get more done.

    i remember way back in one of your vids a bull was unable to stand up after being in the crush. How relieved you must be to see this bull walk out with some 😱coaxing. How unfortunate for the poor condition of 3 hoofs. I am so glad you & your team of guys fixed up the bull with all your expertise & professional 🤓knowledge. I will be praying for the bull.👍🐂🌠🤞

    Robby is a nice lad. It's a pleasure to see him working alongside the team. I'm probably more of his auntie's age, but if I was younger, I'd swipe right. I too don't know where that swiping goes these days, I mean, I like him. With these dad and uncle he's bound to be a great boy.
