I never thought I’d end up worrying so much about cows in Scotland! I think it’s the concern you generate helping these girls that makes me hope they are okay. ❤
He's so good, I'm considering coming in and get my feet trimmed! 😆
Keep up the good work! How's your wee doggie? Don't bring 'em along anymore? You spend a lot of energy chasing cows around, don't wanna chase the pooch around too. Seriously, how's he doing?
I feel the same. 13:4O. Georgia, USA
Cow 447 is a lucky little diva, she’s closer to now being pain free
Anyone who has ever smashed their fingernail or toenail knows how much pain is caused by the pressure of blood collecting under the nail. A quick drill through the nail gives instant relief. I’m sure that cow appreciated the relief!
Another great thing to watch...relieving pressure from subungal hematomas
I cant comprehend the mindset of the psychopaths that use a hot needle. A drill bit slowly turned even by hand is so much more appealing. Shoot, a dremel with a cut off disk sounds mor appealing
@@grimmington2569I didn't have a drill or Dremel. I had a needle. That's the mindset.
@@Albinojackrussel id have used a any serated edge. Steak knife, dinner knife, a sharp looking rock. Anything BUT a hot needle. Shoot, teven wisting a cold needle...
@@grimmington2569 a serrated edge would have required putting a good amount of pressure on the nail. Plus it was my right hand. Hot needle went right through without to much pressure and honestly hurt significantly less than my poor nail did anyway
And now I know why cows stand in summer rather than lying down. Thank you for explaining
If you pay attention to when he tests with the hoof horn clamp, you'll be able to see the problem easily. Love how involved and invested this whole family is with the cows they see on a daily basis.
Yes! I saw that and thought surely he’s not missed it?!
Not in VR? That's the spirit.
VR was hurting my eyes
🤣
I struggled with it 😔
@@TheHoofGPI don't owe a farm or anything like that but I'm extremely fascinated about your work
I love this channel. Education is a must. Probably better than a college can educate
Thank goodness you sorted this video out thought I was looking through a kaleidoscope lol. 🙏🏼 x
As an Intensive Care trained nurse it's lovely to see you give your version of Intensive Care to these wonderful, ( I think they are), animals. I am learning a lot from you myself and I find your work very interesting.😊😊😊
Aww look at those cute smooches she's trying to give! So adorable. Thank you so much for taking care of these cuties
She knows he's there to make her feel better. Smart girl.❤
This poor cow, she's just a hot mess. Glad you've been able to help her and it's great to see that front hoof in such great shape...finally!
You’re such a wonderful presenter. I watch you trimming cows’ hooves because it calms me down. Thank you.
Me too Catherine. I missed the background music in this video, it’s always a big part of the overall stress relieving experience.
Thank you for the update on cow 447. 👍It's heartbreaking to think these sweet animals suffer in silence. I am happy when you service their hoofs. I pray they feel better asap. Your service is invaluable. Thank you for doing what you do plus strive at every chance to help improve the industry. 💜🤔
The Hoof GP swooping in to make my hump day a wee bit better😂❤🐄
Also, don't be so hard on yourself! I'm sure others would have that cow bleeding like crazy! You're highly skilled and a little blood is bound to happen. Much love to you and the family!
Really enjoy the follow up vids and see how the hoofs are healing.............
Me too - follow ups are my favorites, because we get to see changes over time 🐄❤️
When you were using the hoof tester I saw a wee little bit of pus squirt out and knew straight away there was a problem.
When you pressed in the middle of the foot with that instrument at the 5:47 minute of the tape, there was bubbling that came out of it.
The cows are lucky to have you working so hard to make her more comfortable! You are doing great work!
It's been so hot and dry here in the states. We're in the middle of the country. The most agricultural area and a lot of livestock. You can imagine how the swine producers are having to deal with their hogs. The ones with the huge hog buildings at least have fans and plenty of water in the automatic watering troughs. 😃😃👋👋💖💖
What a sweet girl. I know I’d fall in love with her in a moment. Thank you guys for helping her.
Well done on finding that abscess. It must've been such a relief. Living in a farm in South Africa, I was chatting to the farmer today about his cows, which are Brahman X beef cattle. We got to talking about hoof trimming 😅, he said they don't need to trim these cows feet because of our climate here and they aren't dairy cattle. However, we've had so much rain recently that now they are getting concerned about infection in the hooves, because our ground is more like a Scotland then ever before. 😂
Today is a declared heat emergency (day3of 5) in the US Gulf Coast, we gonna have a lot of messed up cow hoofs in six weeks… 99 F, or 37 + C.
And then there's the humidity. 🥵
Please take care of yourself and everybody else that you can. Stay safe and healthy.
I wonder if that's where the old adage of "If a cow is sitting down, it's going to rain" comes from?! Thanks for the video Graeme, very informative!
Pretty interesting trim. I'm sure she feels much much better. You did seem concerned, which is actually quite refreshing. I'm glad she has you as her hoof trimmer. You seem like a very kind, caring man. Your entire crew seems to care about the well-being of the animal which is very refreshing. I'm sure you have made her all better!
Love you trying to make their lives more comfortable.
Graham, nicely done sir! Can we please get an update on the cow with the keratin fingers. That was such an unusual situation. Cheers!
Thank you for taking so much care of the cows. The Cows are Happy the foot trimmer has arrived..😊👍🇺🇸 ⚡
What a lovely girl! Thank you for everything you do for these beautiful cows and bulls 😘🐄
Great video! I was glued to the video to see what would transpire with this. Yes, you are the expert, I would have picked out the rocks went ‘hhmmmmm’, scratched my head and thought it was okay. Obviously I don’t trim hooves except from my chair. Lol. Great work Graeme!
He's amazing. 🐮 The girls love him.
There’s few things more satisfying than seeing healed horn grow in rock solid after sick born has been paired away. Good job
It's not a "dormant six-pack"... It's a "Party Seven" lol
Keep up the excellent work guys! Love watching you work, and really enjoy the banter while you fix all the girlies feet.
It's brilliant how you help all these cows I feel the relief for them when you fix there feet your doing a fantastic job love watching the chanel it's fantastic thankyou for bringing this to us all to watch ❤
Jess is a tough cookie. She will power through, even if it's bad now. I can't imagine. My son has always been the picture of health. If he were to get sick, I'd probably crumple into a corner and cry until I realize that they will be fine. Thank you for sharing with us. We are here for you, hun. Keep that chin up!❤❤❤
I also watch both Sandi and Graeme. I think you commented on the wrong one! 😊
With all the poop, mud, and muck, I don't see how these cows' hooves ever get well. Not ideal conditions for healing. You do such a good job giving them every chance to improve.
I have never trimmed, cut or messed with a cow's foot before. But you and your work are so fascinating. Not hard to tell you are a master of your craft 👏👏👍
Its amazing how the hoof is. You care so much about the cows. I enjoy all your videos.
You are such a kind, caring, hoof trimmer,Thank you for explaining and sharing 😁
Good day made better by a video drop from the man, the myth, the legend.
Poor cow😢. Thanks for helping her.
Good job 👍👍👍Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
What a sweet cow... Yes, they might be herd animals, but sometimes, the eyelashes of a lovely Scottish lassie beautifully show their appreciation. We never had milkers - mostly sweet little bulls...Those were like big-eyed puppies; some would nudge you for a scratch. Care and health are so valuable. Happy animals make life much more pleasant on cold, wet days. Keep well, lads; great to watch.
That last video was really trippy!! I was freaking out!! Lol! 🤪🤪🤪😁😁
I never realized how much I love The Hoof GP until today at work a farmer parked his hoof trimming machine outside and I was so excited I ran outside just to get a closer look. I was just so happy 🎉
Poor moo baby. I am so glad these cows have you to help
That is another alarming consequence of hotter summers, and what is in store if summers are hotter from now on. I’m very impressed at how you are able to perceive that’s what’s happened here, with your knowledge and experience.
It sounds like Colorado has traded heat with someone else's more temperate spring and early summer. My pregnant self has been loving it.
oh wow that hoof has finally healed, im so glad to see! i hope their other hoof heals nicely as well. thank you for the video!
Another fine job Graeme 😊
Having spent over a year with a hammer-toe like deformation due to an old injury and horrible plantar fasciitis to the point that I was often unable to walk I understand how awful these poor cows feel. The pain is unbearable and overwhelms your mind so you can’t focus on anything else. The only thing that helped me was a doctor who gave me a cortisone shot in the middle of my foot. Such a relief. I’m sure that’s how these dear cows feel. They thank you.
Great job helping her out. God will reward you for your kindness.
"Dormant six pack" had me wheezing and from now on I'll be using that reference on a daily basis 😂😂😂
No matter what you are going through, you can overcome it. And will see happier days❤
Thanks for giving us an update and Kevin a compliment. Its so good to see him working after all his back issues and surgery!
I started watching you and I'm hooked. My Father was a horse shoer and we raised beef cattle. I never knew cows needed trimming, too. God love you and all that do your job, but God Bless the person who ya'll's laundry. 😂
I guess the wives do their laundry? Who else?
She’s a pretty cow and I am hoping that you can get her back on her feet again, Graham. ❤
Hot weather has been a problem in Canada for people as well.
We’re having record forest fires in north east Ontario and Quebec.
The smoke has reached south west Ontario where I live causing problems for people with heart and lung issues.
Fortunately our feet are in comfy shoes unlike the cow in this video.
Dogs even wear boots to keep their feet from burning.
How is Stevie Boy doing?
Poor girl! Out of the frying pan, into the fire for her. Good work as ever G
I saw bubbles at 5:50 when you used the hoof testers!💕🇨🇦
Poor little lady! Glad she has you to help her get better! It's been extremely hot here in Memphis, TN as well. We've had extreme heat warnings over 100F every day for almost a week. It's miserable! Especially with the humidity.
That small stone was an indicator of that something wasn't quite right. A cow's hoofs is quite hard and small stones will only be penetrating like that unless the horn is somehow weak and soft.
I was far too old before I realized that many dairy cows live inside most, if not all, of the time. Our dairy cows were kept in our pastures. We brought them into the barn when they were injured, sick or some other reason. We did have a structure for them to stay under when it was really cold or during heavy rain storms.
We switched to beef farming when I was a teenager, but I still had to milk cows on my uncle's farm. 😅
Glad to see you protecting your eyes!!
When the cow goes into the crush without a fuss they're happy to see you and the problem will hopefully improve!!
Great job as always Graeme 👏
It is nice that this cows are well looked after. Sadly better than many humans.
"Dormant 6 pack" lol yeah I have one of those too couldn't help but laugh at that and looks aren't everything as long as it's healing that's all that matters
Yeah, I never heared that one before but I like it!
I'll remember that to use it when appropriate!
@@windsaw151 same here
Whoa!! No music!! THANK GOD. And you. Thanks. The music is so jarring when im in bed. Ive watched nearly every single one of your videos when im getting ready for bed. You’re the best.
Glad you are there to help her. 👍👍😊
I think taking those tiny slivers proves how good you are with the knife and how sharp it is because if you think about cutting anything in the kitchen a vegetable, meat or whatever you have to be very good with it, very confident and the knife has to be very sharp for you to get thin slices.
These videos are so addictive!!! At least it's a good addiction.
I love how u guys take care of the cows and check and recheck
Any chance of putting the cows 'number' in your descriptions so the viewers can search for future/past videos of them? Ran into this with some of your older videos and wonder what happened onmthe revisits and they are hard to find at times.
1.94 Million subscribers, Graeme!! 🎉🎉🎉
I'm keeping watch!!
Such an improvement on that front left hoof... poor girl, if it isn't one thing it's another.
I love that you care so much for the cow and I love that the cows are friendly
Thanks for fixing the video
Thanks for all you do bro. Makes me want to get into doing this.
❤❤ you are truly an "Artist" of trimming cows.
You could actually hear the difference when you sliced over the hollow bit. So interesting!
Thx for your work ❤❤
Thank you for posting your videos. I love watching your videos. Thank you from Virginia USA.
Thanks you Graeme.❤️🇦🇺🏴
So appreciate this information, Graeme! Every time a cow feels better because of your work, I’m a happy camper! 👍🏽
I admire what you do. I don't think I'd be able to do it because my brain doesn't easily let me tune out unpleasant and distracting things so I'd probably be driven crazy by all the manure smell, but I admire it from behind my internet box.
Oh better. Thank you HGP
Well done Greame and Kevin.
The video is much better now thanks for the video
Am I the only one who saw that puss come out of the left claw when he squeezed it with those tongs? and He didn't even acknowledge it?
nice to see kevin taking the mick out of you😂😂
Super video. Thank you. Love that you treat each cow with such respect.
You rock Graeme!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
How hot are you talking about over there in Scotland? I always find it interesting to compare how people in different parts of the world (or even just different parts of the US) perceive weather.
Will be 101 degrees domains Friday in southwest Missouri. Hot, sunny, and humid.
I did seem to notice some liquid squishing out when the hoof was squeezed at 5:48
Miss 447 just wanted to give you a lil smooch !!! Wants to thank you!!!
All I could see was that massive utter sack. Poor girl. Sorry, but those bulging veins were freaky. I learn so much watching your work. Thank you!!
Haven’t been able to watch you in a bit and so missed your episodes! Work is getting in the way of my hoof GP binges! So admire you Graham and crew!!❤
Thank you Graeme 😊
I was in Scotland 2 weeks ago. I thought the weather was fabulous, but everyone kept commenting on the heat. Not sure I'm a good judge though since I live in Las Vegas 😂.
Love the videos!! Is there any chance you can give us an update on kev’s back, I remember ages back that he was having surgery on it
My mom taught all 9 of her children (I'm the baby) to respect animals. Now, at 51, I'm a former teacher and lifelong learner. RUclips suggested some of your videos and you teach in all of them! Okay also just like the way you slice little pieces of parmesan hoof!
