This is the best nissan transmission fluid change video that I have seen so far. Exactly following the manufacture service process, three times flash, pull 3 liters each time. Thank you for the video.
Not sure if you guys cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my gf for the last days =)
Very nice explanation sir! Is it necessary to change the filter? At the dealer they say it's non replaceable, and my car is 100,000 km. What do you recommend?
Great Video pre, what kind of OBD2 reader are you using? If I dont have one, I cant reset the CVT deterioration date, will my check engine light up? Thanks.
Thanks pre. It won't lit your check engine light even if you don't reset it. Its just a life monitoring of your CVT Fluid. If you don't have one just record your Km. from odometer so that you will know when to change the fluid again. Nissan's Maintenance Schedule is every 100K Km. but I Recommend every 60K - 65K Km. especially for our dusty hot tropical country. I use ELM327 v1.5 Konnwei OBDII bluetooth adapter with CVTz50 App, downloadable from Google play store.
Hello kabayan! As of now I don't have a video about that. I'm assuming that you have Nissan Sentra around 2010-2013 model that equipped with MR20DE engine. The cvt of that is easier to change the fluid, since it has a dipstick to measure the fluid level. If you have more question just comment here.
@@w-diy10078 Hello, I have a 2013 Sentra with 140k miles. The transmission fluid has never been replaced. Seems like everytime I went to Nissan they would find some necessary repair or procedure to rack up a bill. At around 120k miles I noticed stalling during acceleration and jerking when i get up to 75 mph. I sometimes have to pull over, turn the car off, then restart for it to shift gears properly. Is there anything I ca do to prolong the life of my transmission any further, or should I just expect and wait for it to fail?
Thanks. That is to flush the old fluid inside. Transmission Fluid Capacity in Liter is 6.9. You can't drain it all, some fluid will remain inside especially from the Torque Converter, you can only drain the fluid from the oil pan approximately 3 liters, that's why you have to do the flushing.
Yes. But ofcourse not 100%. You have to prepare 9 liters of NS-3 CVT Fluid. 6 liters for flushing and 3 liters for final. Pay attention to the fluid temperature, especially for final and correcting the CVT Fluid level and your vehicle must be in flat leveled ground.
Sir question, nagpa change ako ng fluid pero Mag1 ginamit. Pero drain ang replace lang. after a week, madumi na ulit. Yun pala may half capacity naiiwan sa torque converter. Ngayon papaulit ko using this process. At Nissan NS3 na gagamitin ko. Concern ko lang ay, maghahalo na Mag1 sa Nissan fluid.
Hi sir I just have a question Pwede ba gelargo lang butang Ang CVT fluid without the scanner? Using ns2 for my Nissan Sentra 2010. Gedala nko mechanic dayun wa man ge scan and reset. Is that okay? Thankssss. Highly appreciated 👍
@Welitz GPDIY i was wondering if the nissan sentra 2018 had that driver side filter so i can change it along with the fluid has 33,000mi i need to change asap please respond
Welitz GPDIY would you recommend me replacing the passenger filter along w the transmission drain and fill or wait? What about the internale filter does it have to be replaced also or on a later service
@@sbryann18 Hello! Replacing the driver side filter may be done after the last or 3rd time drain of the fluid. Internal strainer doesn't have to be replaced nor cleaned as your cvt is not a rebuild or overhauled.

Yes. In Maintenance Schedule Manual, changing CVT Fluid is every 100,000 kms(60,000 miles). But I recommend changing it every 60k to 70k kms(35k-40k miles)
Do Not purchase any parts from All Auto Part Store. They DID NOT honor the 60 day warranty on the transmission they sold me for my 2010 Outlander. This company has a D rating by the Better Business Bureau.
It depends on the ambient temperature,,.. It's about 5 mins. of idling speed to get the correct fluid temp. with ambient temperature of 36 deg. C. But still, I highly recommend to use a scan tool to monitor the fluid temp.

Fantastic job well done .. I can't get to my filter because there's a cvt oil pump blocking access to it 🙄

At 100k odo that's the time for opening the oil pan, cleaning and change the suction filter
