IF ANYONE HAS ISSUES WITH THEIR FLUID CAP -- mine was being very stubborn, but used a ziptie to create a loop that laces between the metal and plastic and got better leverage with that. Came out with a good pull.

I own a Sentra 2014, followed the tutorial and everything came out great. No leaks or other issues, and I did not used a torque wrench. Taking the 'dipstick' off did not take long at all. The car had 83 thousand miles. The oil was extremely black, since it hadn't been changed. The filter was also very black; it certainly needed to be replaced many miles ago. I did buy the products at the dealership. The metal pan did not have much in the way of metal particles, so I will not change that next time. If I had known better, I 'd have changed the oil at least at 30 thousand. I will now change it more frequently. I think that at least changing the filter will not affect anything, if you have waited too long. It's time consuming but easy.

Hello RUclips, lots of people commented on my previous video about changing the CVT filters. So I decided to make a video showing how it's done. This will help many people, so like and sub.

There is one thing you missed and it's called for in the service manual. There's transmission debris that sits inside the transmission cooler block(the one in front of the transmission by the radiator). Nissan Sells a flush spray to remove this debris from in there. This is also advised when performing this service you're doing since removing the fluid makes it easier while the transmission cooler sits somewhat empty. The black hoses have to be removed and the spray goes through the bent pipes and putting a clear hose on one end to route the debris onto a pan. Cheers

I was thinking how nice it would be if that filter was a spin on. It would make changing it similar to changing oil.

The best way to change the fluid in a Nissan Sentra is to trade it for an ACTUAL good car. Like a Toyota Camry . A CAMRY OF THE SAME YEAR IS BETTER THAN THREE NISSANS. ANYONE OUT THERE,I have a 2014 Nissan I wish I never bought and had a 2000 Toyota with 238000 miles WITH original EVERYTHING. I Would trade 2 2014 Nissan Sentras for one 2005 Toyota

You never get all the fluid out so we get as much of the fluid as you can and take the pan down to get more fluid out do this as often as you can if you want the transmission to last i did mine now 15 times don't wait for 50.000 mile to do it

Great job at explaining everything. My Sentra only has 28,000 miles on it and I will change the trans fluid every 30,000 with new filters. I have have heard these are sensitive transmissions and i want it to last. Also you have done a great job learning and speaking English! Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for the great video! I just got my parents old 2013 Sentra with 60K miles, and I have been so scared of the CVT failing (It is a huge problem with these cars) So It is a big relief to see your Sentra with 160K miles still running with good CVT Fluid Maintenance. You relieved so much of my stress!
