There is no tab - Terry plays 100% improvisation. He never plays a song the same twice. It flows out of him in a way few can - it's endless. I've seen him solo for 5 minutes straight and he never loses momentum. It's amazing!
I've never heard him before, but I'm blown away. Insanely strong and clear tone. Just fantastic playing. Almost the best I've heard in this style next after Rory Block.
RJ plays it in G if I'm not mistaken, Terry plays in A - some of the licks more ressemble RJ's Me & the Devil, Kindhearted women & some other A-tunes. All aside the obvious: GREAT PLAYING & SINGING by Terry Robb!!!!!
i'm a guitarist, and i disagree. i find the acoutic guitar easyer to play BECAUSE of it's higher tension and such. Its more opinion/personal preference then "acoustics are harder to play" really. Though you are right about the tension and neck, for the most part.
For all his skills, Terry Robb is much better with the acoustic guitar than Clapton, and Clapton is usually superb with electric blues. I am not saying Clapton can't do acoustic, I am saying that, for the original blues, Robb sounds better. He's what they call a primitivist.
This guy did a great job but I just can't seem to like his version. It feels way too clean, every note nearly perfectly played. where's the raunchy vibe? Nicely played anyways.
