Great technique, but mastery of the frets does not a blues master make. He lacks the melancholic raspy voice and the grit and soul of a blues man, let alone blues master !
+noobi core But a raspy voice alone, and no performer at all may result, master or otherwise. First comes mastery of the instrument, which this gentleman clearly has, in spades fulls.
Scotty... if you think Tommy Emmanuel is purely a "percussive player" then you are living in dreamland. You have clearly never heard of Stevies Blues, Angelina, Blue Moon, his Beatles repertoire etc etc. All guitarists, on one level or another, can be compared. This guy has nasaly vocals and is playing very standard blues runs etc. Nothing special; I see better down my local guitar shop on a Saturday afternoon.

he's a great blues player, but i guess there's no master in music. its just somewhat varies from one to another.
