Terry Robb is fantastic, a guy who really enjoys music and plays it how he feels, never tire of listening to him play, I always smile when he's playing which very few musicians can make me do just by listening, absolute master of blues acoustic.
I hear every thing from lots of the Australian whats his name electric slide player mixed to blind blake ...roy rogers..abunch of masterfully blended licks from dozens of songs and players..i love it...though a little slower tempo would exhibit his mastery and soul ..dedication and immense knowledge...theres enough stuff for a dozen players and songs in 30 seconds of this vid...the world and mind doesn't work at this pace..as much as I love it ..I want to hear a story..feel some relevance ..im going to slow it down and steal lots of this stuff..je je
Ihave the same guitar realy nice guitar it has a problem though the tenshion on the string is high so beginners wild have to go through alot of pain, but it sounds great in anyones hands. p.s terry you are true master of the blues. keep blus'in/
Werner Dhondt Terry produced some for John Fahey, so it's no surprise that he has the same style as Leo and John. Can you imagine sitting in and listening to those 3 playing together, even if they were just goofing around?
I hear what you're saying, but the term "acoustic" in this case simply refers to the type of guitar - a steel string acoustic. Not an electric guitar like Clapton or BB King would play to play the blues (which is almost never a solo instrument). Any guitar player realizes that to be able to hold the stage all by yourself playing bass, rhythm, and lead without the aid of a band on an instrument that is not processed or distorted to make a bigger sound is a feat requiring serious skill.

Well - it's an acoustic guitar and there is NO processing on the signal for this concert. It's raw - no reverb/chorus, etc. Kind of hard to play a concert for a crowd w/o amplification.

Well you use a microphone in front of the guitar, if you've got a lead coming out of the back it's an electric guitar. I just get a little peeved at all these 'unplugged' concerts where I hope to see the chart singers playing acoustic guitar and singing live, and it's not. It's not hard at all. I've seen plenty of acoustic gigs, and I didn't hear any whining about not being able to be heard.
I wish it wasn't so rare that people who don't have their own work posted here can be so critical of others who do. Put your money where your mouth is.

Mr Robb, i love your work. but on this song, you didn't need any kind of solo, maybe.
Technically tight, but also very "nuanced". He seems to have a great respect for the blues.
vocals blow. playing is ... technically right, but soulfully fucked.
