- The final performance spanned two dates, beginning on Oct. 28, and ending on Oct. 29, and three full sets ending with this at well past 1 a.m. in the morning of Oct. 29, with the song that they first played back in 1969, "Trouble No More" ... and the final bow taken on the anniversary of the death of the beloved Duane Allman who started the band.
May the circle forever remain .... unbroken.

Greatest southern rock band of all time, and right up with all the great bands of any category! RIP Gregg, and thanks for a lifetime of brilliance.
Sorry, that was Little Feat.
@@Herehear49 Little Feat was a fantastic band in the 70's. When Lowell George died, no more Little Feat😥 Even when Duane Allman, and Randy Oaks died Gregg Allman carried the band into the 21st century. So we have to agree to disagree ✌❤🌻 RIP guys 😥 You will always be remembered thru your music and loved by those future generations that will always be lucky enough to discover The Allman Brothers Band on RUclips ❤
@@Herehear49 Sorry, that Was LYNYRD SKYNYRD !!!
I was blessed enough to be there that night. Pure magic in the air.
Steve Urban it sure was magic! That room was so full of love and positive energy it was amazing.
I first saw the Allman Bros. band in Love Valley in July 1970... I hadn't heard them before. I became an ABB fan immediately and saw them many times after that. Gregg gave me 2 backstage passes in Williamsburg, Va. and invited me and my wife to sit behind him on stage that night. To this day, I'll never duplicate that feeling. Never before & never since, no matter who, the Allman Brothers Band will remain as the band that started a new genre of music known as Southern Rock. Those were the days...
RIP GREGG, your missed like crazy & RIP BUTCH!! Y'all are gone but never forgotten .. Thank You!!
And Duane
and berry cant forget him
no matter how many times i watch this .... i get a lump in my throat, and tears form. Was the best and most emotional night.
+Lorri Markum Wish I could have been there!
Today is two years since we lost you and your great music Miss you much!
Yes, Dickey should have been invited
I know what you mean. I could have gone, didn’t realize it was a farewell concert. I did see the Allman BB at the Fillmore East and my daughters are named Melissa and Jessica. By all accounts Gregg was a gentle kind man. Gone too soon. 💜
Amen! The tears flow like rain...... Wow!
Dickie should have been there. He's part of the core there wouldn't have been the band without him. So sad😓
Yes I would have liked that
He shouldn't have been such an ass.
hardluck 1995 I’m not very knowledgeable about Dickey and Gregg’s fallout. How exactly was Dickey an ass?
Why wasn't he. I see Shannon over behind Gregg He Loved Her So And She Him till the end my friend
@@STSGuitar16 Dickey was the rowdy of the bunch and I am positive they all loved one another regardless of the fall outs. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/dickey-betts-the-lost-allman-brother-121021/
A bit disheartening...no Dickey. No matter the differences that separated them without Dickey's contributions to the band chances are they would have been lost in the dust many years ago. Only Jaimoe and Dickey left. Worst part of getting old is carrying on after the loss of those you care about. R.I.P. Butch, Barry, Greg, and Duane. You will forever live on in our souls.

Dicky was in REHAB @ the time
I was privileged to see the Allman Brothers 15 times. IMO, the very best band of musicians in my lifetime. I even managed to turn my dad into a huge fan as well. I miss being able to see them live.. there was just nothing ever quite like them. RIP to those lost.
cowslinger64 I saw them many times as well!!! No better Southern Blues Rock band like them.
Don't do hard drugs and alcohol!
I saw them 15 times also.
I can't tell you how many times I saw them from '71-'79. Rest in Peace Gregg Allman 😢🙏 You will always be rembered and loved.❤👏✌️❤️🌼
I became a guitarist because of the ABB. When Sweet Melissa came out I played it over and over 24 times. I learned it that night and haven't stopped play in my guitar since. Gosh I sooo loved all of them. Even named my daughter in 1979 Melissa. Such a heart felt loss. 💓😥😥😘😘💋🎸🍹
Hell, we weren't fans. We loved those guys.
Still do
Allman Brothers Band was and still is one of the top musical groups of all time. Feel blessed to have seen them so many times over the years. Do I have a favorite song? Hell no I love them all!
Thanks for the memories guys. You’ll always be number 1 to my musical ears!
I am 64 the brothers have given me 50 years of nonstop rate southern rock and roll! Rest in peace brothers
MY LORD, I MISS AND LOVED THAT MAN. REST EASY. YOU AND YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE IN MY HEART FOREVER❤🍄🍑
Excellent! RIP dear Greg Allman, thank you for all the beautiful words, songs, and joy you brought to the world. You will be sorely missed. Much love and respect, Sunny 🍄
Just wont ever be another group of guys like ABB.. I seen them dozens of times and man was I lucky!! Hard video to watch, certainly tear jerker!
Some of the best vocals we've heard from Gregg in this era considering his age/health/etc.
Duane is burning a fat one, looking down on them during this song and just smiling.
And I'm Also Angry cuz he had so much more to give.He gave himself to the very end,Thankyou Gregg.Much Love,Sherri.See You.
Putting the needle down for the first time on the Fillmore East album changed my life forever. I ended up picking up the guitar, studying my heart out, and eventually getting a doctorate in music. One of my biggest thrills was seeing Gregg sitting in with another band at a small club in Virginia Beach ca. '77. We sat 6-7 feet away from him and were mesmerized the whole night.
Was it VA Beach VA? Typo probably but looks like ca? I live on the Virginia peninsula.
@@18winsagin Sorry, I used the standard abbreviation 'ca.' for 'circa' which, when preceding a date means 'about'. So "about '77'. But, yes, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Dickey should have been invited,...period!
I AGREE 1000% !!!! 👍👍
33AndAThirdRPM I agree..my heart hurts so bad right now cuz Dickey not being there or even mentioned is so wrong.. plz read the comment above I left.. I was at Gregg’s funeral..Dickey was there..nothing else matters
🎸🎶🍄🌴🌙🌺💕
he was invited, as understood
He was. He had a fishing/hunting trip scheduled.
THIS POST IS MEANINGLESS WITHOUT DICKEY BETTS I'LL SAY IT AGAIN HE WAS THE ALLMAN BROTHERS, WHEN DWAYNE PASSED DICKEY WAS THERE.PICKING UP THE I SAW THEM 7 BETWEEN DWAYNES PASSING.A D BERRY'S A YEAR LATER AND COUNTLESS TIMES AFTER HE WAS THE SPIRIT OF THAT BAND THE GLUE THAT HELD THEM TOGEATHER HE.GOT A RAW DEAL IN 2000 WHEN THEY BOUNCED HIM THEY ALL HAD SERIOUS DRUG ALCHOL ETC PROBLEMS WE KNOW THAT DICKEY KEPT THE BALL ROLLING FOR THEM TO NOT INCLUDE HIM IN THEIR FINAL SHOW IS A TRAVESTY,ALTHOUGH I HEARD GREGG WAS TALKING WITH DICKEY ABOUT SOME SORT OF A MINI REUNION JUST BEFORE GREGG PASSED, LOVED THE MUSIC FROM THE BEGINNING AND ALWAYS WILL JUST DISAPPOINTED THEY ENDED ON A SOUR NOTE NO PUN INTENDED, GOD BLESS THEM ANYWAY FOR ALMOST FIVE DECADES OF MUSIC THEY GAVE US..........
The entire Allman family is now reunited in Heaven!
Without Jesus there is no heaven. Did they have Jesus in their hearts? I hope so, but we do not know.
Abb by far the greatist live band ever .thank you for playing in californa on every tour. My first show was in 1975. Oakland. I was fifteen and hav been a big fan of all your projects. I look forward to seeing the band agin on the other side god bless
I saw the ABB at the Fillmore East. I believe it was the Fillmores last show. Fantastic.
I saw them dec of 70 at winterland it was magical night I was 17 I remember it like it was last month rip to all of them all gone except dickie
What a truly beautiful sendoff for southern rick’s greatest band ever. RIP Gregg, Duane, Butch and Berry.. and play on, Dickie, Jaimoe and Warren!
Gregg inspired so much of my musical life. He is so entrenched in my heart and soul that I bought a Hammond. I will commit the rest of my life to keeping his music alive. I lost my friend when he left this world. I am so sad that he is no longer here.
time and mortality are cruel teachers to the reality we all face, regardless of our talents. We grow to believe falsely our idols will forever be the background music of our lives... and we get used to them being there always with music and inspiration...Greg, Duane, Barry, David,, SRV, Janis, Jimi, Chuck.. the list is endless for here. The closing of the Allman Brothers Band in this video is of great historical significance for us all as well as our children. Their extended families brought messages of togetherness and kinship including all men and women through in their music for these last 40 decades. Humbled here to have witnessed the power of their southern music to unite all those that had a moment to truly listen and inhale.. many heartfelt thanks to ABB... and thanks to Lorri M for providing this video..the circle does remain unbroken.
M.A.C. It was my top notch dream to travel to NYC to the famous Beacon Theater to an ABB pilgrimage. They all made Family out of strangers ... and bound us forevermore ..... I won’t ever forget this night .... nor my years of loving them all and being blessed to weave so much of my life with them thru music and connections. ❤️
super cool experience to see the ABB you related Lorri, that experience has to rate a very close second to births of children and weddings. The deep history of the Beacon theater plus the presence of the ABB surely had to be charged with energy of a higher level. Embarrassed here to relate this but truthing all... my only ticket to see the ABB live here in north Texas about 74' time frame did not end well. we partied thoroughly before heading out, missed the venue by several miles, ooops', into arena finally a bit late to seats...warm up act in full press and closing quickly...and... U/C police swept on our row and escorted us downstairs...BEFORE ABB ever took the stage by minutes.....I've been a die hard follower of ABB since Eat a Peach to this day. Ya'll please rock hard forever but safely...thx again Lorri. though am VERY jealous here of your experience..
Lorri M.. your experience had to be so super cool, hope you filled that digi' card in your camera to the limit for your future reflections, that experience is one that cannot be recreated period you can relate to your grandchildren in those chosen settings grammy' selects... very envious here that you experienced the historic venue as well as ABB in one adventure. So much a very special experience isn't it, peace and comfort from here to you Lorri and all here... rock on.. btw please excuse me for reference to grandchildren.. not trying to bracket your age though thinking on your appreciation for the ABB gives you calendar credit LOL. peace all
@@m.a.c.8366 you’re correct I’m a “Nana” to 3 ♥️
God Bless your sweet soul Gregory Allman
We’ll never see their like again. But they left us with a legacy of phenomenal memories and music for decades to come.
A jam band, a southern rock band and a damn good blues band, this band had every right to sing the blues.
It might have felt different at the concert, but seeing those photos now, late at night, is just sad.
I'm so glad I saw them countless times. Their music is my religion. It speaks to me like none other.
blessed to see these guys numerous times beginning in ATL and Macon in the early 70's and ending in about ninety something at oak mountain amphatheater in b ham. every show as great as the one before.....they were and still remain family to us, their loyal and grateful fans.
Wow , I cant believe how much has changed in less than four years , I get a lump in my throat too , I caught a glimpse of myself behind Gregg as he walked off stage. miss u guys
God bless you Allman Brothers!!!
What a great memory we have of surprising our brother-in-law by taking him to see ABB for his 50th birthday. It was one amazing show!
I wish I could’ve seen them live. They’re national treasures. Thanks for sharing.❤️
The greatest band America ever produced.
Never another … priceless legacy that deeply nourished us for decades
The photos at the end almost brought a tear to my eyes. I can't imagine what they do to Gregg and the rest of the band!
Thank you for posting this video.
Fitting date to end the ABB. Duane was killed in the motorcycle accident on Oct. 29th, 1971. Gregg was in failing health, it was time. This date was planned, it had to have been, a nod to his brother. He said he never got over losing him... It had to have been an emotional experience for all of them. I wish Dickie Betts could have been a part of this, that's sad. Rest in peace, Gregg, Butch (so very sad that he took his own life, that had to have torn them all to pieces) and the brothers that went before them. Very emotional to watch...Thank you for the music you left behind...
Linda Adams i agree. I have never gotten over the loss of my brother 24 years ago .... nor will I ever. This night was monumental and will forever be one of my favorite memories and experiences.
They played until after 1am on the date of Duane’s death. It was intentional. ❤️
So sorry about your brother :( Thank you for the upload, with the anniversary of his death at the end of the month, I went looking for videos I hadn't seen. This was perfect..
Man am I glad to have seen this band so many times , I never get tired of their music. RIP
Thanks for the your music ABB, it's and y'all are forever.
Thanks so much for everything.....we miss the Brothers.....luckily we all have the music
Tears Rolling down...My mother used to listen to Allman Brothers,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Black Foot,It was a School for me.
The love for this group in my heart and millions of fans cannot be expressed any better way then by the Allman Bros Band themselves playen those guitars in harmony and voices cheering if that dont bring tears to your eyes
With every bootleg copy of a concert some where that someone had hidden in a cassette player telling a friend. Hey did you ever hear of these guys and another fan for life is born in that instant I remember all to well that day in my life, this amazing music that's felt so right Rock Blues Jazz yes even Gospel all brought together with pure love of the music Thank You Duane and Gregg Allman for your life and love you shared and have given to us all RIP Brothers can't wait to see you again Peace
You had me welling up again, fantastic!!
I was there and it was an incredible night
I watched these men from the beginning to end.Piedmont Park,Atlanta Municipal Auditorium, both Byron,Ga (Atlanta) Pop Festivals...and so on.Oh well. They certainly had an influence on the music realm, and countless up and coming musicians.I always believed Greg Allman was the greatest Blues Singer ever, and The Allman Bros Band was the best the South ever had to offer. There have been a many a band out of the South, awesome bands. These fellers got it started, whats been coined Southern Rock.
I MISS THEM A LOT. MAY THE BROTHERS WHO HAVE DEPARTED R.I. P. DAMN THEY WERE GOOD!
I love Gregg! A true Southern gentleman. Perhaps a little rough around the edges, at times! But, they’ll never be another! RIP Baybro! You’re back with your loved ones, we’re the ones hurting, but, you gave us all you could! We love you. The road goes on forever🎸🎤
Thanks Lori for the video. Thank you NYC for welcoming the ABB for 43+ years!!
Sunny Johnson my pleasure 💞
Sunny Johnson Yes...Indeed ..Thank You. The Greatest Blues Band Of All Time...No One Will Ever Touch Them ...Especially In The Way They All Touched Our Souls. RIP....Duane..Barry..Butch..And Greg.
The ABB was the very best! For fans u must visit Macon Ga. ABB museum, H&H Restaurant, and Rose Hill Cemetery!! Been there several times!!
At the museum many displays, books, dvd, cds. Lunch at H&H then visit Rose Hill Cemetery where Duane, Greg & Berry r buried.
I promise you will enjoy!!
God Bless all the members who played in the Allman Brothers Band. The best American band of any genre, alongside great units like Miles Davis' late 1950's and mid-late 1960's quintets. Beautiful.
The best.
The absolute best guitarist and whiskey soaked empathic vocal ever! Rock on, Skydog and Gregg !!
I'm ashamed and extremely regretful that I never got into this band earlier in my life.
It's ok brother this band has created enough music to last us all a lifetime. Just keep on listening and discovering
never too late Mitch!
No need to be ashamed.
...ya live and you learn, child...never too late to bask in their greatness...;)!
This is just something I can't share.I feel it's way to personal. Gregg Allman. Was an amazing man,and he left us way to soon.

Allman Brothers band, never forgotten....!
Y’all were. The best Brothers and we miss each and every one of you.
Thats my Birthday October 29th,, Born1963 ! I did have the great honor of seeing them play in St, Louis Missouri in the 90's at River Port Amphitheater,, It Was Epic Man
America's greatest band ever!!!
Thank God it all happened. Inspiration for a lifetime.
I discovered ABB while living in NYC in the 90's. After going to many of their gigs they will always feel like family
RIP FROM A NOLA FAN...WAREHOUSE & TIPS...YOU GUYS PUT THE DEFINITELY ROCKED NOLA.
Truly a sad time in Rock and Roll history....
Love you all...much respect
I was there too and it was a great show but tough saying goodbye.
I was blessed to see the Allman Brothers with Dickie in the early 90s, I'll never forget that show. Truly the best of the best RIP Greg and brothers...
WOW thanks 4 sharing
It’s stupefying to realize that the first two ABB albums tanked. Now, they’re practically a greatest hits package. I’m fortunate to have seen the reconstituted ABB(thank YOU Warren Haynes!) & also saw 13yr old Derek Trucks join them onstage at the FL state fairgrounds near Tampa on that first tour. I could not have been more elated to see the ABB firing on all cylinders after years thinking they were done. And then they went on for decades more!
Farewell my beautiful Gregg, you were the one constant in my life. Forty five years !
I had been lucky enough to see the Allmans through the decades and all I can say is that you felt part of a family experiencing their concerts. The music speaks to your soul. Little Martha was always perfect. God Bless you all and the generations that will follow
I didn’t know I was gonna be crying my eyes out tonight
It all goes by so quickly
I love them so much forever
Such a good song!!
Thanks
Greg bursting with pride and appreciation.
Saw Greg play in a bar in Sarasota in about 85....amazing
So sad that Dickie Betts wasn't there. He IS part of what made their sound.
Dickie was there in spirit, just like all of us fans
Miss you guys.
May God bless the Allman Brothers Band! R.I.P. Brothers Duane, Gregg, Berry, Butch, Alan Woody and the Toler Brothers! They will never be forgotten!
I was very lucky to have seen the Allman brothers band in concert several times in the seventies, most talented band. They didn’t have to act silly to put up a show like some bands do.
Damn man tears on my cheeks
and where is Dickey Betts..???
Shame on all of you...,how could you not mention him and he not be there,,this so wrong..!!!!!l I am totally disgusted and heart broken
🎶🎸🍄🌴🌙🌺
As my tears fall like rain on a broken rose🌹:(((
You play Jessica and don’t even mention the great Legend who wrote Jessica and won a Grammy for the Allman Brothers Band..
“ICONIC GUITAR LEGEND DICKEY BETTS “
✝️🙏🎸Amen🎸🙏✝️
The best of their kind.
Man this is hard to watch and I agree with every last person that commented about Dickey!! He should have been right in the middle of all the Brothers up there!!! It still trips me out about Butch, that's weird to me he committed suicide so late in life... It's almost as if he didn't want to live to see it end.... RIP brothers and thank you for all the music that so many people grew up on!! 🌈🍄
DAUNE WILL ALWAYS BE NUMBER #1!
The Allman Brothers Band, hands down is the best band in the world!! RIP Gregg, Duane, Barry & Dutch!!
Man,Gregg looks so much like Willie!!Little Martha made me cry.
You guys fuckin killed it ...so many years...God thank you
Dickey should have been at this event. Damn.
Love this band
Greg looked bad there. He's in Heaven now
Actually the Greg Allman band, No Duane, No Dickey, no ABB. Just the truth.
