I went to this concert. At first I was disappointed that the ticket didn’t include admission to the new museum, but I went back years later to check it out. Was a crazy good night with these guys and everyone else who played. Chuck Berry opened the show, Johnny Cash sang Fulsome Prison, Fogerty, Burden, Iggy Pop, Dr John, Aretha, Stax house band up there all night… Still have my poster.
@@steve-boston I recall my buddy & me taking my little sister (14, I think?)...we were 19, to Cobo Hall in Detroit, Nov. 5 1973. Now Cobo wasn't known for great acoustics, but wow.... they were so damn good... loud...clean... best sounding concert I ever heard. ... and in an unfavorable sound environment to boot! The crowd was amazingly well behaved, everybody in their seats. I think the ABB attracted a more higher intelligent thinking crowd than most rock bands back then. I had forgot how much I loved this band, until the recent passing of Dickey....always one of my favs.
Couldn’t agree more. I also think the lineup after Berry passed with Chuck and Lamar was fantastic. Under great pressure too, “replacing” those 2 was impossible but they were great. Too bad it all imploded, but that 1973 tour was some of their best music.
Rest in peace The Allman Brothers dickey Betts Greg and Dwayne and the rest of the gang that are on their way❤❤❤❤ always love singing along to Greg and the Allman Brothers always wish I could sound like them
Saw them in concert at Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville I think in 1991. I was talking to this chica who got us tickets, and the band started with Statesboro Blues. That bass and the double drums with Butch and Jaimoe almost knocked me off my feet. And of course, Dickey was the best, what a talent, RIP my man.
The camera isn’t good! Starts out okay but not good as this progresses!Doesn’t this guy know who the heck is soloing? That is who the camera is supposed to be on!
Hi myself, a few guitar players the sound so good Frank Zappa one Hayes and the other one would be Stevie Ray Vaughan. The rest of them are basically the same trash shit that you hear.
Greatest of All-man time.
Warren Haynes - awesome then and now!
What a fantastic performance by Allen Woody! One of the greats.
Duane, Dickey, Warren & Derek…some of the best guitar players to ever walk the earth. ABB is the greatest American band ever.
Don’t forget their incredible bass players. Berry, Lamar , Allen , and Oteil. Every one of them was underrated
That band was like a steam roller. It was a force of nature.
Masters of the best Southern Rock music...The Allman Brothers Band!

Other bands-“we have great live musicians”
ABB- “ hold my beer”
IMO they were the best live band to ever take the stage. In all of their various lineups. Thanks for watching.

Dicky is so good. Tragic loss. May he RIP.
Blue Sky & Back Where It All Begins are my FAVORITE BETTS tunes
The original lineup was iconic but I always liked this lineup. Warren and Woody👍

@@MARKIEBANUNCEand the world with mule
So cool daddy o ..long live southern rock and roll😊
Rest in peace, Dickey Betts, and thanks for all the great music. I saw the Allmans back in the 70s, and the live jams were incredible.
I saw this line up so many times. I can't even tell you and Allen Woody was amazing. I got to kick it with the band just a few days before he died
That was government mule but we all get what I'm saying

Stash or no stash, Dickey Betts was the best Southern Rock guitar player that ever lived!
He felt every note he played!
R.I.P. Dickey Betts
Sheryl crow was like a fish on a bicycle up there.
I was thinking the same thing.
Ms.Crow was probably in awe of just how good those brothers are😅
Real amps real Concert ..
OH HELL YEAH!!! YEE!!
Yes yes ❤❤❤
There was always something soul grabbing about Dickies leads.
Allen Woody.....
Gregg, Dickey, Butch and Allen😢
Dickie is still king…wrote the song too
Yeah not bad for a drunk
@@nathandodge665 there but for the grace of god go I
Who let Sheryl Crow onstage?
The camera guy didn’t know where to focus at
I think Dickey sounds better on that ES (I have a similar one) than he does on the Les Paul!
What is the name of the first song??
The first song is Blue Sky written and performed by the late and great Dickey Betts.
The camera isn’t good! Starts out okay but not good as this progresses!Doesn’t this guy know who the heck is soloing? That is who the camera is supposed to be on!
Thanks for uploading this. It would have been perfect if Shit Crow did not absolutely kill the best song. Ugh.
Love Sheryl Crow but this is not a good song for her...
RIP ABB

Dickey was a monster of guitar. RIP.
