If you say rancid sold out you are far from the truth, if they sold out they would be playing the music the music corporations want them to and theyre music would have a far different sound and lyrics, besides they are on theyre own label how could that be even close to selling out? Rancid forever!
getting popular and being on a major label are in fact parts of selling out as well as changing your music to fit what the label wants, they didn't sell out, they just became a shit band, selling out would imply they made tons of dough and seeing as out come the wolves was their most successful album before they started sucking proves that they didn't sell out, either way though it doesn't matter cause the fact is that they still currently suck
i agree man. a perfect example of selling out though is the band afi. they go from hardcore music at nitro records to looking like women and playing crap they were probably told to make at dreamworks. Rancid did none of that.
