084 & the weedsprayer on the South Wexford line (25-6-2015)

- Some footage taken along the now closed stretch of line from Waterford - Rosslare Strand and at Wexford Quay of GM 071 class no. 084 hauling the Irish Rail weedspray train.

Excellent post dude! Really documented the run well, but as well as that you found some great camera angles and shots. Love the Wellingtonbridge footage, fascinating to compare it with even 10 years ago and see the difference. Really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing it with us.

Good to see a mothballed line getting a bit of care & attention. That track looks in pretty good shape. I hope you were standing well clear at 3:15..
AndreiTupolev It remains classed as an 'engineer's siding' hence the annual spray. The track condition is patchy to say the least. Some sections acre concrete sleepered CWR, others plated with varying condition wooden sleepers. Don't worry I judged my distance for that shot, sure didn't fancy a faceful of Roundup lol

Cheers Dan, the future looks bleak now unfortunately. They're currently planning on replacing good track on the line with old life expired panels :(
