They seem to have used anything they had on that line. Push pull makes sense for Kilkenny though. What is that step thing at 8:42 for. Not really suitable for disability access it seems (?).
Were you a fan of the 201s when they were brand new Danny, or were they viewed with the same contempt that every new class is shown and require some getting used to?
Enjoyed the video very much with loads of detail.Doing a layout too .Take care.
Thanks Dave, glad it's of help to you 👍
Great stuff Danny. Wish they'd go back to the orange and black livery
Cheers Rob. Yeah nothing quite compares to it, as original a livery as I've seen anywhere.
Brilliant footage Dan!
Thanks Stevie 👍
Superb stuff dan, the amount of activity that would be prayed for to come back is dreamable
Thanks Joe we were certainly spoiled for choice back then.
The galloping on the joints won't be heard no more. Great Video.,👍

Steps were needed in Thomastown to board as there was a 2 foot drop to the platform!
Excellent Scenes from the Good Years Danny!😃.When did the Bell Liner Freight Trains cease operation?.
Thanks Alan. They ceased in 1997 when Bell Lines went bankrupt.
Who is the woman who opens and closes the barriers? Does she live there? Does she work for Iarnrod Éireann?
The 2 girls were nieces of the people who lived there (now both sadly passed) and were employed by IÉ.

Never liked them the first day I clapped eyes on them....and still don't!
