I’ve been reading the comments and a lot of individuals are misinformed!
There’s 2 types of Blue Devil Sealers!
Yellow label needs the thermostat removed!
White label the thermostat does not have to be removed! I used the white label Blue Devil in my 2005 Corolla and it worked to perfection!

I tried blue devil pour and go at first and didn’t take thermostat out. I folled directions and let it sit for 50 mins but little did I know my heater core was clogged up and that’s why I wasn’t getting any heat in the cabin. So since I wasn’t getting proper coolant circulation in my system I drained it and then the next day my gasket tester kit came in the mail so I done a head gasket chemical test on it and the liquid turned green from blue. The kit works like this… You pour the blue chemical in the flask and put it in your radiator opening. then you squeeze the bulb and if the blue liquid turns yellow then you have a blown head gasket. Since my liquid turned green that told me that I have a small leak in the head gasket even after
The 1st batch of pour and go blue devil. So I replaced my heater core and got my heat working and coolant flowing good then I bought the non pour and go bottle and took my thermostat out and followed the instructions carefully. Let it cool down and drained the blue devil and refilled with coolant and the used my gasket tester kit again to see if it turned green again and was very impressed with blue devil! My tester liquid was as blue as it was when it came out of the bottle!!
So very impressed and as far as I can tell there is no damage to my car system and boy does it feel good to have my heat back at the start of this winter!!

This works great. I’ve used it on multiple cars over the years and they always worked. Even on severely blown heads that over heat in 10 mins just gotta keep recycling every time it cools let it run again and again it’ll seal soon. One car it lasted 6 months another it lasted 3 years. It’s a guessing game good if you’re broke and can’t afford a head job. Just don’t race the car ever ride it easy

I've found that if i pull the spark plugs till i find the cylinder with the bad head gasket and leave that plug out while running the sealant in the engine has given me better results i think its because with the plug out the sealant is able to get in to the bad spot of the gasket rather than getting pushed out by the combustion gasses. And even then these type of head gasket sealant are only a short term fix

there are 3 products, 2 they don't say to remove the thermostat, this one with the YELLOW they say to remove the thermostat, but they don't say to flush the coolant at the end only to put enough antifreeze. I'm still not sure about which to use, seems the one where you remove the thermostat is the one to use...

I have a 2005 Chevy Uplander with 400,000 km(250,000 miles) on it. The exhaust gas pressure(from a blown head gasket or a warped or cracked head)was forcing the coolant to overflow in my expansion tank and causing the engine to overheat. I thought the vehicle was toast. As a Hail Mary, I thought I'd try Blue Devil yellow label. I followed the instructions to a tee even though removing the thermostat on these 3.5 liter V6's is a bitch. To my surprise, it actually worked. For how long I have yet to find out. Fingers crossed.

It’s funny that Blue Devil dose not mention to remove the thermostat in the directions I consider to be a knowledgeable street mechanic and follow how repair vehicles to a tee. I performed the procedure by following the directions on the back of the bottle I removed the thermostat flushed the engine, heater core and radiator drained again then after that I filled it with coolant and the Blue Devil everything worked perfectly after the next day I drove the vehicle to work got on the highway I happened to glance at my temp gauge i noticed it was close to overheating it almost reached the H so I immediately shut the truck off costed to the emergency lane waited for 8 hours on the highway with no heat with the out side temp @ 30 degrees I was very upset had to call of work. When tow truck finally arrived I finally got the vehicle home drained everything as I went to remove the thermostat out lord behold the thermostat was gumed up stuck closed I was shocked stumbled on this video listen repeated the process again this time left the thermostat out and had no had any overheating issues yet had I not seen this video I would had junked the vehicle and some one else would be driving the vehicle this saved me a lot of money thank you for making this video!

You can. You can run straight water if there is no danger of freezing. You can dilute a 50/50 mix in half or more and it still won't freeze even if it's badass cold where you live.

@@alexanderpapii4866engines cool fine on water, despite the slight extra viscosity. It's freezing and corrosion protection that water lacks. Also, if in a warmer climate or just for the summer it doesn't hurt to run a little more water than 50/50.

I've used Blue devil in the past and never removed a thermostat first. But he could be right. It just seems like kind of goofy cuz if you're going to turn on the heat all the way and go drive the car right after you pour it in then it's going to open up the f****** thermostat and then the damn thing is going to f****** run fluid through all the whole motor everywhere in the coolant system and then the thing does its job. I don't see why you would want to take a thermostat on out and run your vehicle without a thermostat for any amount of time. Not to mention that afterwards you're going to have to turn around and drain all that coolant out again to put the thermostat back on or you're going to have a mess. Just like you said when he took the housing off in the first place zero out of 10. Do not listen
