@@AmericanGoldProspectors I would love to know more about the rules of where you are permitted to prospect? What size sluices you are permitted to use? Can you use a small 3 inch dredge in the water? Does anyone do that? I am currently building my own Nome beach highbanker and shipping everything to Nome in may and would really appreciate any tips that would save me wasted money and wasted time.

GPA when they first started up at Nome they had a group of people that worked all night on the beach they had dug a hole down 3' feet deep and it was solid red with Garnets by morning they had found 18 ounces of gold. Not a bad haul for 1 night.

@@RedfishInc current price of gold per ounce is $1814.00 but when you go to sell it you better minus 20% =$1451.20 per ounce that you will actually get paid.
1 ounce per day x 6 days per week with 1 day off per week = 6 ounces per week x 4 weeks =24 ounce per month x $1451.20x6=$8707.20x4=
$34,828.80 per month.
Hmmm did not know that walmart employees made that much per month. 😂

Man i wish i had beaches like that here in western North Carolina. Have plenty plenty of garnets! Some gold, and no one bothering me in river. Putting my gold prospecting on hold though and starting my other valuable resource looking! Its ginseng season!!! Make 300 a day!

@@chuckp3131 thats awesome. Im new to gold prospecting. I live in sylva so im not in the big vein down east but there's gold up here. I love ginseng. Its natures other gold! Ive been laid off since march and im so looking forward to looking for ginseng 7 days a week this season instead of 2. Last year ginseng hit 900 per dry pound. And 300 green pound.

I lived there in the 60s . We had a guy come all the way from Wisconsin, he worked for the hiway Dept there, anyway, he would take 3 months off and come to Nome and pan the beaches, he said he averages 13k in gold every year, at 35 an ounce..nice guy..

I live in Wisconsin and plan on the same thing. 100 days. And at $1,300 an oz from the buyer I could return with a years wages. That's like working weekends and taking the week off. 15 grams a day is still 60k

You need to get permission from a claim owner.

That's awesome are you and Alex still in nome im retired and im about to extract some capital and im looking for honest people to teach me the ropes im considering moving to nome and becoming a resident for about 10 years or so im only 52 and im in phenomenal physical condition and im certified in diving all though I hate the idea of sharks im ready to go on
