Welp, as a guy who hears that last siren nearly everyday I can confirm that nothing is more frightening than to suddenly hear that, especially while outside the building, despite even getting slowly used to it.

why is that radio transmission mortally terrifying! i occasionally go back to this video to listen to it and it terrifies me!
As someone who’s heard many sounds of eerie sorts, in real life and in content, I must say, the Japanese have a procuring footsteps perfectly done in scary stories. Like one where it’s the sound of a very large drum (I forgot what it’s called) that gets louder and faster as the huge being approaches. Although, in all my experience of creepy sounds, nothing causes quite a reaction like the imminent threat siren. Be it for a hurricane, tsunami, or nuclear power plant disaster, that sound has a power to it heavily due to the fact that unlike most of the other sounds, IT MEANS SOMETHING. AND THAT SOMETHING IS THAT A CATASTROPHE IS INBOUND.

My cellphone decided to malfunction in the creepiest way too, I was watching some spooky shit on RUclips when I heard a noise in my room, I tried to turn my cellphone light on to check what was going on, but the light started flickering and couldn't start, in the moment I just thought the light didn't work anymore because my cellphone was already malfunctioning before, but in the next morning I turned my cellphone light on again and it worked just fine... so yeah, demons

I often experienced hypnagogic hallucinations, they're fast, like 2 or 4 seconds.
Specifically, I sense the fingers of a hand touching my skin, I also perceive the sound of them slapping me. My family is very respectful so they never invade my room, much less if I'm sleeping, so it's not them.
At the beginning, I was scared because I did not know about the phenomenon, but now that I know, I'm not so scared, but I still get chills.

My town used to have those old air raid sirens back from the Cuban Missile Crisis era, and hearing SEVERAL of those going off at once while the wind kicked up and thunder crashed terrified me as a kid. And yeah, they DID sound like the one in Silent Hill.

The last one is literally has been my wake up alarm sound for years and I got so used to it that I just sleep back at the weekends
This is my scary noise story.
I was really young, I wanna say like 10 or 11 but I am uncertain. I was going to sleep for school and I stayed up extra late. I usually slept with my lights on because I just felt more comfortable. I always watched scary things on the internet which led to many difficult nights of sleep however this wasn't one... yet.
It must of been around 2 in the morning, the window directly opposite me when I was sleeping led to pitch black. I was starting to doze off when suddenly I heard the scariest noise ever. I don't even remember how it went but it was like a squeak combined with a scream. Doesn't sound scary but imagine how I felt as a 10 year old trying to sleep late at night, already with scary thoughts in my head then hearing that.
I told my mum the next day and she said it was probably just a rabbit but nah, the thing that made that noise must of been the devil himself because that noise was impossibly scary, just impossible to explain. Some kind of high pitched noise that went in a weird tone at the end and it just left me shook the entire night.
