Hey Martijn, You know this all ready, but just just in case you may not have thought about it yet, here's a suggestion to keep you warm all night long in your tent this winter after the fire goes out. Stack some of the stones you have under the stove, and in the back. Stack the stone wall in back in a curved manner at least as high as the stove, the more stone the better. You will stay nice and warm all night.Just thinking about you my friend.

Diamond blade for your skilsaw! With a trickle of water. I have lots of stone masonry experience. Cut the backside of your wide stones...or score and chisel. LOVE your channel, Martijn. So happy you're showing so much time getting all the camera work/editing spot on. Bravo, sir!
Thanks for sharing it is very relaxing watching a master at work surrounded by nature's backdrop. As a child I would follow my dad at home keeping him supplied with mortar and bricks. So remember keeping bricks wet and the proper mixture of sand, water and cement. As you have stated the time and thought put into the wall will pay off in the end and your masterpiece will last well beyond your years. What a joy it is at the end of the day to see what you're hands have created. My dad always needed to be acknowledged for his work which kept his momentum going. Today I acknowledge your efforts with my dad's favorite word - FANTASTIC! This property and community should be proud to have you and the fruits of your labor will surpass our times shared with all those who follow. Kudos to you Sir from Ohio.
Autumn has always been my favourite month. It is Spring in New Zealand and the weather dreadful. Rains each night where I am in the country, then cloudy most days. Snow coming Thursday. Your wall looks brilliant, you have tremendous patience. Thanks for another great hour. 🌈
Watching you meticulously labor stacking each stone one-by-one has given me a greater appreciation for the homes I see constructed in stack stone. @25:15, I absolutely loved the scenery after picking up chestnuts. Even God must be so very proud of you, Martijn, in your journey enjoying His creation to the fullest. Thank you for sharing!
Your attention to detail with the stones is what sets you apart from 100 other masonry restoration channels. You truly are making an amazing job and I know that you know that it’s worth the considerable extra effort to get the masonry right.
Stone mason, crusty and perfect loaf of bread baker, cast iron chef, assembler of almost impossible stone walls and roofs (rooves??)----where does it end? Well done, Martjin!
This brings back the times my son and I built two log homes for resale in Georgia, USA. Such hard work but so rewarding. I can’t tell you how enjoyable these videos are . I respect how you enjoy the journey instead of rushing through to the end. And on top of all the work you are filming and editing it for us to enjoy. Thank you.. thank you!
I am sure a lot of your viewers enjoy watching the progress of your work as I do; and I could see the joy you derive in this accomplishment; always a good watch every time!!
Several years ago, I was given a truckload of scraps of dimensional lumber that was safe to burn. My nephews 'helped' stack it. Can I just say, your stack of split logs is neater than their "stack" of wooden cubes. Thank heaven neither of them decided to build houses for a living!
Aaahhh love that moment when I glanced up from my knitting (which is how I take in these videos) and see Martijn's head peaking through the tent stove hole.

I have been living in the flatlands for almost a decade and it is slowly withering my sould and spirit. So thank you for a virtual reminder of home🙏♥️. Anyway, such admirable patience!
Martijn, I have watched your videos since you began this restoration project, and enjoyed the progression in your videography. I think you've developed an awesome formula that is beautiful, informative, and sophisticated. I agree completely with Nicklas M. that your productions are meditative. I also think that the 45-55 minute format is perfect. Thanks!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy every second of your videos. It takes you away like we are right there with you. Stirs my imagination while being so relaxing. Every week when I see your videos pop up.. makes me happy
It hurt my heart when you pierced the tent for the stove pipe opening. Don't know why but with this tent quality I imagined there would have been a trick stove vent opening in the top. Stone wall is so beautiful. Every stone placed with precision loving care. Thank you for another beautiful video. Rest well in your warm tent. Enjoy a very good and productive week.
Your lumber pile gives me a feeling of happiness for some reason. I think because I enjoy the thought of having a surplus of good quality fire wood for the winter, being warm and cooking over it, smelling its aroma etc. Pretty incredible 😊🪵🔥
it's the view, the property, the "project".....music!!!! drone!!! neighbor!!!, it's not about YOU ..... although it is all about you, your spirit, your connection to this land, you dedication, vision. Truly one of the best channels......again, so so enjoy watching the accumulation of excellent tools, need to go back to beginning to see what you had other than hammer, swiss army knife, spoon, fork! (Kidding, but good on you !!!!)
Your patience continues, even when the daylight is getting shorter. Most people would be getting a bit anxious in preparation for winter on your mountain. Admirable how focused you remain.
Beautiful episode. Lovely to see Johanne again! To say you've mastered bread making is an understatement. This last loaf made me salivate! ;-) The money shot, well one of so many: the sun disappearing in real time behind the far mountain ridge. The jigsaw puzzle of the wall that you solve with every stone is fascinating to watch! My all-time favorite RUclips channel! Thanks so much!
The bread is sublime......and hearing the noise of the crust, 😲 wow. Martin is so patient with this roof. I felt for him when he was trying to encourage the stone to split In a certain way and it didn't and he said "Fail". I've got a big job coming up on my cottage this summer which I'm not looking forward to. I'm 66.
Being a lifelong camper, I have never seen anything quite as scary as you cutting a hole in your beautiful tent! I am totally addicted to your channel and I am inspired to do more creative stuff for myself.
I have been watching your videos or many months Martijn, and never commented, but I must just say how therapeutic they are to me and how relaxing being on this journey with you is. I feel a so much better about my hum drum life living a little of yours with you. Keep up the great content and thankyou.
A little tip for the coming years, put some lateral wood beams u der the fire wood so that it does not tuch the ground. your pieces on the bottem will rot over time
Can only speak for myself but I can assume watching you build and create in an area that is only represented by nature makes me feel a pull to what we are all meant to do. To help, to grow, to learn, to focus on the process. This to me is much more of a dream and a reality than a huge house in a busy city. Thank you for your content and for being you.
The tent stove is GREAT and you did a fantastic job on the stone wall. What you added looks like it's been there for 100 years. Your bread always looks delicious. Enjoy!
But...but...I'm so anxious for the stone layer! To see this finally completed will be amazing, seeing all the work that went into it. I had no idea there were so many layers to lay down. So anxious............
Holy cow(s)! Loved this one for many reasons, but first and foremost is the masonry. I hope people will learn and continue to appreciate not only the historical significance here, but the degree of patience, skill, and effort required to keep any rehabilitations as this structurally and aesthetically accurate. It is my wish that owners will practice in kind like methods of duplicating this masonry and/or find someone skilled who can in order to maintain integrity and homogeneity. Ultimately, this work becomes the mortar that binds us with the hard-earned foundations of the past. My sincere thanks for helping to preserve the permaculture, beauty, and the 120 year old architectural heritage of Valle Pellice territories of the Alps in an exemplary manner for posterity’s sake. Your dedication is most admirable. Uw toewijding is meest bewonderenswaardig.

Johannes is back!!!! Lovely to hear that voice again.
Your attention to detail with the stones is what sets you apart from 100 other masonry restoration channels. You truly are making an amazing job and I know that you know that it’s worth the considerable extra effort to get the masonry right.
His videos are mesmerising... the road less travelled in this tumultuous world we live in is surely one worth pursuing.
I enjoy to see a man like you, because my father wasnt much with children and neither did much at home .
It's so comforting and satisfying to have a full woodpile before winter comes.
Several years ago, I was given a truckload of scraps of dimensional lumber that was safe to burn. My nephews 'helped' stack it.
Can I just say, your stack of split logs is neater than their "stack" of wooden cubes.
Thank heaven neither of them decided to build houses for a living!
Now that is a pile of firewood 😮 Stay warm this winter. 👍🏻🙋🏼♀️🇺🇸
Aaahhh love that moment when I glanced up from my knitting (which is how I take in these videos) and see Martijn's head peaking through the tent stove hole.
You're an artist I love your videos Listen to the sound of the bells of the cows When you make bread
Live day by day as your friend the painter mentioned You're neighbours are delightful Johaness You' ve got a lot of things You are . Aprecciate those things have gratitude that's the tecnique to live things as they present every day in their difficulties
God Bless You Greetings my young friend Sending you light and my gratitude because you show us beautiful nature Thank you so much
(Sigh!). Those clouds on the mountains makes me homesick!😭💔I miss the mountain, the fog, and the cool wind so much! I have been living in the flatlands for almost a decade and it is slowly withering my sould and spirit. So thank you for a virtual reminder of home🙏♥️.
Anyway, such admirable patience!
Next time stack the wood on pallets to save the bottom layer, and dry them faster
Stacking wood, aarrggh! But well worth it! Nothing like sitting beside a roaring fire in the cold...and the wonderful smell!
I put away 12 cord this summer and they are all happily drying out on pallets. Recommend
Mister,,, you are the real deal!!!
Thanks!
Yes. Not only the work we see but the videography and editing. Bravo!
Thanks! For all you share from tuthdr!!👍
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy every second of your videos. It takes you away like we are right there with you. Stirs my imagination while being so relaxing. Every week when I see your videos pop up.. makes me happy
the fact you are moving the camera yourself... great videography :)
I'm jealous of your absolutely crusty bread!
Simply my favorite channel right now. Thanks for the videos!
Wow that is a great lot of firewood!
This last loaf made me salivate! ;-)
The money shot, well one of so many: the sun disappearing in real time behind the far mountain ridge.
The jigsaw puzzle of the wall that you solve with every stone is fascinating to watch!
My all-time favorite RUclips channel! Thanks so much!
My next week motivation is secured! 🙂 Thank you Martijn! ❤️
Amazed as ever by Martijn's stamina and delighted to see the breadmaking progress with the latest innovation.
You are getting real good at baking bread. Love the sounds of the cow bells.
St. Martijn the Breadmaker.
For me, it's all about the birch trees and cowbells. Martin got it all right moving there.
I love when you peeked out of the stovepipe hole! It made me smile thanks!
Being a lifelong camper, I have never seen anything quite as scary as you cutting a hole in your beautiful tent! I am totally addicted to your channel and I am inspired to do more creative stuff for myself.
My back hurts just watching you stack all the wood and stones. A lovely job on the wall.
Beautiful location. I love the drone shots, looking down on the mountains.
I have been watching your videos or many months Martijn, and never commented, but I must just say how therapeutic they are to me and how relaxing being on this journey with you is. I feel a so much better about my hum drum life living a little of yours with you. Keep up the great content and thankyou.
Picking up some chestnuts on your way to town - the little joys of country life…
Johannes! Great to see him again
The bread making scene at night look like a film of Paul Thomas Anderson, it's amazing
There are not enough words to tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos! Just thanks!😊
The thumbnail looks like the album cover of some old 70's record that you just know is gonna sound fire
I like how precise you are, I’m the same. It is good to see it!
definitely, like. Hello, I'm lying from Russia. dude, you live in paradise, you're a happy person.
The tent stove is GREAT and you did a fantastic job on the stone wall. What you added looks like it's been there for 100 years. Your bread always looks delicious. Enjoy!
What a peaceful and purposeful life on such beautiful surroundings. Thank you for posting.
But...but...I'm so anxious for the stone layer! To see this finally completed will be amazing, seeing all the work that went into it. I had no idea there were so many layers to lay down. So anxious............
Zen and the art of stone house repair.
Winter is going to be interesting, another fantastic video >Thanks man! Great to see Johannes again also :)
It’s interesting to note how noisy it is on the mountain. It’s rather comforting, I think, to know and feel the life all around you.
Yay! Johannes is back.
I’m excited for another wonderful cinematic experience watching your dream come true. ❤
Gosh, you are one helluva busy man! And it seems there is nothing you won’t do! Fascinating just watching all the chores you do including dashing to put food on and check it. A very organised man on all accounts. Everything is coming together nicely. Thank you so much for sharing.❤️🦘
Altijd weer een cadeautje je filmpje te kijken. Kijken er zo naar uit . Vooral in deze tijd... dankje Martijn.
Still like to hear the sounds of the mountains including the cow bells.
