Dude you and Casey are going to freaking take over RUclips ! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 you guys are both so good at different things and now you two will literally be the best at it all. Omg I’m so stokedddd!
I’ve been a huge fan of both peter and Casey and now seeing them both collab... STOKED! You can already see both of them getting better- the storytelling from pete talking about the lens while getting a container of gas I feel was something casey often did- storytelling and continuing the story from place to place. I’m not saying they’re copying each other but rather they’re integrating bits and pieces of each other’s styles which is making their content insanely better than it already was!
"you're better off getting a new one" when a new one is litterally thousands of dollars and it works flawlessly aside from 2 easy to replace rubber rings?
This intro song isn't from Epidemic sound tho. Its Airlines by MrJaxx from google store or Apple music. Think it costs about 1 dollar tho to use. play.google.com/store/music/album/MrJaxx_Airlines?id=B4g5bqt5pifl4nsjttl7usz5wbq
Dam, my lenses are used non stop and still look like new, but I do repair as I go, I never move on to the next project with a lens that has any type of damage. The normal wear is inevitable however.
Just bought your luts and presets few hours ago! Now I'm going though my whole photo library to rediscover my old shots with a new look! Thanks a lot for these packs
So we adopted a hound dog from a local shelter and he's only been with us a few days. He has never lived in a house so some things flummoxed him, such as the television. He has gotten used to it for the most part, but the beginning of this video brought him off the couch and right up to the TV screen. The forest, maybe with the bird noises, really caught his attention and he watched until the woods part was over, then cocked his head to one side for a minute before returning to his nap on the futon. I think that is the sign of some well done B-roll, you fooled the hound dog. Love your stuff, thanks for the education and inspiration.
NOW I'M CONFUSED. WICH LENSES ARE BETTER TO VLOG??? 24MM or 50mm? Do the 24mm make that anoying noise? PLEASE, SOMEBODY HELP ME! JUST bought a Canon 80D ;) THANKS
Josi Daresbach Alright here goes. The number, (24, 50, etc) refers to the focal length, which means how wide or zoomed that lens is. For example, a 15mm lens will be really wide, whereas a 400mm is gonna be super zoomed in. Usually, for vlogging, you'll want a lens around 30-50mm because that's close to the view of the human eye, so it seems natural. If your lens makes noise, that's not got anything to do with the focal length, it's got to do with the motors in the lens when using autofocus. In general, cheap lenses are loud, but most lenses (even $20,0000 lenses) make a lot of noise when autofocusing, so you should try and avoid using autofocus, your videos will look waaaaaay better if you learn how to use manual settings as well anyway. Watch a lot of Pete's videos, and stuff by DSLRGuide, FilmRiot, CaseyNeistat, D4Darius, etc to learn more about cameras and lenses and how to vlog. Also, bonus tip: your camera has a crop-sensor, which means that whatever lens you buy is going to look more zoomed in, because the sensor (the eyeball of your camera) is actually a little cropped in already. Dont worry, you just need to do some thinking when choosing a lens because your camera will basically make it a little bit more zoomed no matter what. So, take the focal length of the lens you're thinking of buying, for example let's say you buy a 50mm, and multiply it by 1.6, and that will tell you the focal length that your camera will actually see since it has that crop sensor. If you want a 50mm (remember to multiply to see what YOUR 80D will make it) I'd suggest the "nifty fifty" Canon 50mm F1.8, there's a million videos on this lens, and it only costs about $125 bucks. If you want something wider, consider buying used/vintage lenses on Ebay for around $20, they're just as good but not as shiny and new anymore. If you do that, make sure to watch some videos on vintage lenses. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I'll do my best to help.
Josi Daresbach if you want something versatile that will help you get your bearings on what focal length works for you then find a used 24-105mm f4 L. It should be less than 600 bucks U.S. And it's generally a great all around shooter. And if you ever want to sell it on you will make all of not most of your money back. Then you can move on from there. I will say this. The nifty fifty on a crop sensor is probably too tele for daily vlogging. A 35mm prime would be better. If it's the only lens you are buying.
Thanks Peter for the fun video :) For anyone not familiar with Aperture and depth of field, 2 more points that are important to know. 1. Telephoto lenses (zoom) will have even more background blur when zoomed in fully, but as Peter said you will lose sharpness (not much but some), depending on what kind of image you're going for though it can be worth it. 2. A lower aperture f1.4 = shallower depth of field meaning only objects within x distance will be in focus. X will increase when at a higher aperture. I.E. f1.4 might have a 6" field of focus, and f5 might have a 24" field of focus. This is extremely important to know when doing any kind of run and gun shooting. For run and gun, I typically use f3.5-f5 and f8 if I am really struggling with focus. For B-Roll i use F1.8 (as I do not have an f1.4 lens)
For some reason this felt like a much different vlog, and for good reason. You told us the story of your very first lens, the memories it brought you, the experiences you've had, and how you're now only sending it off into the sunset. I think some of that Casey magic rubbed off on you in a good way, but I would rank this at the top of the lists of favourite videos on this channel. Amazing stuff, Peter, as always.
I want one of those, the picture looks so crisp. My budget is not there yet so I will properly go for a 50mm f1.4 USM as my next one. Right now using 24m F2.8 pancake for my studio. Great video and nice to have something on the wishlist
Alexander, do you know if Is this 24mm better than the 50mm for vlogging? I just bought a Canon 80D and I'm going to buy one lense, but I don't know wich one it's better. I don't want to buy lots of lenses, its gonna be more for vlogs than pics. Thank you in advance!!!
If you have to choose between the two, definitely go with the 24mm because the 80D has a crop sensor, which means your lens wont be as wide as it would be on a full frame camera like the 5D. For Vlogs I'd recommend a wider lens like the 10-18mm, or 16-35mm if you want to get an L series. :)
Peter you should make a book about people like us who are into b-roll cinematography or about your tactics of being a photographer & cinematographer! I'd definitely buy it
You should do more vids about Cannon Lenses, understanding the difference between all of them and advantages and disadvantages is really helpful 👊 Thanks though PM for all your videos! They are really helpful and inspiring already👌
This is unequivocally your style 100%. Amazing b-roll and information from experience that takes us unto the story. Loved the part about the old lens! Thanks Man!
That intro sequence is 🙌. I wish more people and companies made more fun "reviews" of lens like you just did.Shows people what they are investing into.
Oh yes, snowmobiles need to be registered but many just use them on fields, in forests and they cross some streets as fast as possible for not being caught by cops! I have seen a snowmobile in the middle of a highway (large grass part between the two lane sides), he was travelling over 150kmh!
My first non-stock lens was my Canon 10-22mm. Absolute beast of a lens, took me through 26 countries and even got me paid to travel, withstood countless drops and dust and snow and water over 3 years - only to die in one last drop where it literally snapped in half around the focus ring. Didn't bring it with me to Canada but after watching this I feel like I need it back for the memories haha
Chris Snyder If they like it they like it let them enjoy it. Some people like cheap pizza, some people don't, it's about personal taste not objective quality, cheers man.
Another fantastic Video mate, I have just purchased a Canon 80D and I have been making a few vlogs, I think I'm hooked. Keep up the great work Peter :)
Got one too and I wonder what lense do you have and use for filming? I've got myself the standard Kit lense 18-55mm then bought a 50mm 1.8 Aperature Lense for 100$ and a wide lense 10-18mm for 140$ ... I still question myself if I should by a high end one for maybe 500$ or so ... But I'm also worried if a camera with a ASP-C sensor is enough compared to a full frame camera and if I should Upgrade even to a better camera ... Any opinions? Thanks in advance! :)
The Italian i also have the 18-135mm (great lens) i want to get the 35mm for next, ive heard really good things about it. As far as cameras, it depends what you use it for, it’s nice to have there screen that swivels on the the 80D when you are vlogging. If you are not vlogging with it and can get a full frame? Go for it! If you are only using for video, take a look at the XC10 and other camcorders. Like I said it depends what you are using it for.
3 years ago my dad gave me his Canon 50mm 1.8 ii. This lens came with his FILM camera he bought before I born. So I'm using a 24+ years lens! Still working perfectly and helping me a lot with jobs. Great video! Cheers from Brazil!
Your vlogs look so clean cut and crisp! It always bothers me a little when a vlogger moves their camera around too much since it hurts my eyes and makes me dizzy, but I really appreciate the content that you and Casey put out.
Oh Peter.. I've been having this huge grin on my face watching your newer videos.. the vibe is just so uplifting. Bought both the LUTS & Presets and I don't even make videos! Keep at it, and good luck.
I've been getting some great tips on shooting from you lately. Still have a lot to learn. But I have to seriously thank you for the Epidemic Sound tip! The music there is fantastic!! Love your channel! Thanks for all you share!
Peter - I know any helmet is beter than none. But, the helmet you are rocking here is a MTB/Downhill specific helmet, and not really close to the safety standards of a motorcycle helmet - I would really advise you to get a real Moto (MX) helmet..
Hi Peter, thanks for your Lightroom Preset pack, I'm new to photography and just bought your Lightroom presets. It's really a big help for me to learn from it. Hope to see more of your amazing tutorials and videos and hopefully in the near future I could take great shots nad videos like you.
hi . . thanks for all the exhaustive-helpful video! . . sensor cleaning! :-) . . how did you move the camera through the trees in the beginning? gimbal? what cam? 1dx or 80d?
Giving thanks to Peter for an amazing year in photography. I eagerly wait for your videos. Your video is an escape for some people and I appreciate what you do! I've learnt so much but the one thing that stuck is "GO THE EXTRA MILE." and for that my friend I salute you
Shit I just had a sony a6300 crap out on me and had to trade off my canon 24-105mm to get another a6300... Its rough whenever camera gear has to go to the graveyard.
Hey pete, Would you still recommend this lens on a crop sensor (70d)? Im hoping to upgrade to full frame eventually but looking to invest in some glass now.
That intro is just sick! So smooth, so awesome, so crisp with the DOF and focus! Thanks for one fresh and informative segment. Good luck, love your work Peter:)
I love that you love the 24mm 1.4 L so much--I feel like no one ever talks about it! I've had it for a couple of years, and while I feel way more comfortable shooting at the 100mm or 200mm focal length than I do with a wide angle, it's a super sharp and very interesting lens.
Peter, what ever happened about a month ago or so it hasn't gone unnoticed. Something even more brilliant is happening and your camera work has matured significantly. Is it due to new equipment or a state of mind, whatever is happening it's working. You are a force dear...keep it up!
Hi Peter, I just bought the LUTS Package using the offer. At the moment I shoot with a Canon 6D and the Cinestyle Picture Style set in camera to have the most "flat" look. Should I change to another Picture Style to have a better match with your LUTS ? Thank you!
The intro to this video is amazing and very well polished. I did own until very recently a sigma 17-70 dc macro lens for a APSC sensor canon EOS 7d. That lens was my walk about lens it went every where the camera went. It has been on every holiday, every photo shoot. I have own that for nearly 9 years just like Peters 24L lens. Then one it would not go to f2.8 it would only go down to f4. Quick phone to sigma who confirmed it had 'had it', so I traded it in and got the contemporary version of the same lens. It is a different beast, quiet, quick focusing a very good lens.
Feeling inspired at the moment your film began...so inspiring, needed to be uplifted, and and PM did it. Thanks man. :) ...also just bought your LUTS PAK...thank you!
I see some of Casey’s story-telling kinda vlog here right after you both meet. Combined with ur cinematic skill, the vlog is becoming more fun to watch!!
Matt Stephen i am confused too becouse now i can afford only one and i need to make choice but i am going to invest in 24 or something like that focal length!
Fair enough. I'm using a cropped sensor. Mostly for filming myself and vlogging stuff. Just looking for something moderately cheaper and wide enough to film close.
Hi Peter amazing tips hidden in all parts of your videos and it truly does help. I'm currently trying to upgrade from my nikon D7000 I need something with video more in mind and taking the plunge to spend the money is hard but deep down I know it's a good investment. ❤ keep the amazing content coming I find you so inspiring like so many other people do it's help me grow my videos and as a creative individual ❤
24mm always looks so wide when I use it but for you it looks amazing! I really struggle to get b-roll with the quality you do without the big budget gear - any chance you could do a tutorial on getting cinematic b-roll with lower end gear/lenses? Love your work mate - I'll buy you a coffee if you ever find yourself in Australia... :D
Dan O'Brien he made a video on b roll, and the gear doesn't matter!

"no...they put cream in this...FIGHT THROUGH IT!" This is why you are the winner that you are. So humble, always looking at the silver linings. I admire you, man!
in where i live there is no so much of cinematography and with watching this guys videos am getting a head of all the video makers in my city thanks a lot dude
Is it Kodak killer on the intro sequence? Especially the footage of the fallen tree amazing colors! Like a boss Peter! Keep it up! (ps: I still haven't made it to such coloring with your luts but I must getting to it!! lol)
All right then Mr. McKinnon. I was sceptical about those presets. I am now editing a series of a Canon 2 dollar thrift shop analog camera which is not, at all, what your presets are aimed at. So I threw in the unedited, scanned photograph and added your heatstroke filter, tweaked it a little for realism and s17.postimg.org/5drzb466n/pmcfilter.jpg Well... Yeah. That's a keeper. Looking at the settings I'd NEVER come up with doing this. You didn't use things I use all the time and vice versa. As the Dutch say: "There's many ways that lead to Rome". So even if those filters wouldn't work for me, and obviously this one did in the case of this photograph, they'd still give me new ideas working with lightroom. Worth every penny.
You can tell you hung out with Casey! You still have your cinematic feel but now carry a story through multiple scenes and while you're doing mini side story's as well! Very smooth
Sweetttt!!! Love the ATV! 2 questions. One, what camera did you use for this? Same as your main? Two, do I need to pay for the monthly Lightroom in order to download your presets? I’m just getting started in my photography adventure so I’m like as new as they get! Just bought a canon T7i beginner camera, I’ve been on your channel and many others learning as much as I can! Thanks for your content and hard work! ✌️
what lens do you vlog with? i currently have the art kit lens from canon the 50mm and the 18-20mm but im looking for a lens thinking of the 24 or 16-35mm? i think
RIP My first pro lens ever in life :( You will be missed! Anyone else have a piece of equipment they have had from the beginning still going strong?
hi
Peter McKinnon My olympus 300mm f4
Peter McKinnon yep I still have my 50mm 1.8, had it for such a long time and it's still going strong!!
حضاوك ا ولدي حضاوك بدا تقرا لمعودتين قبل ماتلوح لفيديو
Peter McKinnon the opposite. Just killed my 80d doing long exposures by a creek today. I’ve only had it since may and i may cry.
What a boss intro!
I'm a big fan!
Dude you and Casey are going to freaking take over RUclips ! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 you guys are both so good at different things and now you two will literally be the best at it all. Omg I’m so stokedddd!
Cam and Kels lol like they already haven't
Percy Ellison hahaha I know right
I’ve been a huge fan of both peter and Casey and now seeing them both collab...
The 24mm is my favourite lens ever. Legit want to get 24mm tattooed on my body. Don't believe me? Ask my GF it's true.
"you're better off getting a new one" when a new one is litterally thousands of dollars and it works flawlessly aside from 2 easy to replace rubber rings?
Makes total sense to at least one person... behind the counter at Canon.
Casey brought me here. I am so glad to find your channel.
+Amine Boushaq welcome :)
Amine Boushaq welcome! you won’t be disappointed... 😀
Amine Boushaq you life has been changed !
Welcome to the community Bro! Peter is great!
*found your channel through casey's vlog! you're an amazing content creator!*
Baylike he's great, as a quick advice, look for 2 Minutes Tuesday, it's great..
THanks! Welcome to the channel :)
Honestly I prefer Peter's style and content. But Casey is good as well ))
Welcome!
He is so good!
Thumbs up if you want Peter to list the name of the songs he uses from Epidemic sound in the description😁👍
Athlete Project Media he has his own list if you go on the site
It's only an album with around 12 songs that he used often in the past. He uses a lot of other songs nowadays
Athlete Project Media hey cn u giveme tht link
Gus DaCosta hey cn u give mé tht link

Canada looking cold as per usual!
Yeah fall / winter in Canada is cold AF. Summer time is hot AF.
Oh ya it really is getting colder now
TJ Jack love ya vids !
thanks Tom haha !
Great video Peter. Really appreciate the effort required. Respect shooting when you’re sick too, that’s not fun.
Just bought your luts and presets few hours ago! Now I'm going though my whole photo library to rediscover my old shots with a new look! Thanks a lot for these packs

Dillon Orr Thank you for that explanation, I actually learned a lot
Always glad to help K Soul!

For anyone not familiar with Aperture and depth of field, 2 more points that are important to know.
Casey's style in peter's video and peter's style in casey's video, makes it even better for you 2 and me as a subscriber, thumbs up!
Agreed!!!
lo so both of them building on eachothers skills
For some reason this felt like a much different vlog, and for good reason. You told us the story of your very first lens, the memories it brought you, the experiences you've had, and how you're now only sending it off into the sunset. I think some of that Casey magic rubbed off on you in a good way, but I would rank this at the top of the lists of favourite videos on this channel. Amazing stuff, Peter, as always.

what do you mean?
1901Steini check out rise channel its not that bad
Malik Madayag thanks Man!
Rise I've been subbed to you for a while
Malik Madayag thanks a lot again! Have you seen the norway series?
I want one of those, the picture looks so crisp. My budget is not there yet so I will properly go for a 50mm f1.4 USM as my next one. Right now using 24m F2.8 pancake for my studio. Great video and nice to have something on the wishlist
The song in the intro is Bermuda by Henrik Olsson, awesome song + epic b-roll = classic Pete ;)
I love the way peter tells the story with all the camera angles. It feels immersive and Im tryin it out in my vids as well.
This is my favorite Lens ever! I didn't regret buying this one even for a second
Alexander Straub 👌🏻
Oh, du hier?
Alexander, do you know if Is this 24mm better than the 50mm for vlogging? I just bought a Canon 80D and I'm going to buy one lense, but I don't know wich one it's better. I don't want to buy lots of lenses, its gonna be more for vlogs than pics. Thank you in advance!!!

"No! They put cream in this!!!!!!"
-Peter McKinnon-
9 years!!! That’s so good! I’m way too quick to change if something is broken. I haven’t had any tech for so long.
Great stuff Peter! I've been watching more vloggers to pickup tips and tricks for my videos and your channel is top notch storytelling.
You should do more vids about Cannon Lenses, understanding the difference between all of them and advantages and disadvantages is really helpful 👊
Thanks though PM for all your videos! They are really helpful and inspiring already👌
Did I notice some Neistat’s Storytelling influence in this video? =)
Gabriel Rodrigues I noticed it too, nice touch to an already great content
yeah... he learns alot from Casey
I noticed that too and I thought it is very nice. it means that they're learning from each other. ;-)
Yes I did too! Love your work Pete! We love your style and all that buttery B-Roll you’re so known for.
This is unequivocally your style 100%. Amazing b-roll and information from experience that takes us unto the story. Loved the part about the old lens! Thanks Man!
What an intro. I am just speechless! *_*
Hi I'm Peter. I enjoy morning walks in the forest by my home. LOL ;) Thanks!
which framerate do you use to film the shots from the intro? 60fps slowed down to 24?
vrm0re certainly 120 FPS slowed down to 24. He uses his 1DX.
That intro sequence is 🙌. I wish more people and companies made more fun "reviews" of lens like you just did.Shows people what they are investing into.
+Dodi Sunny I’ll do my best to continue!
wow a like for a comment and a reply for another from the Peter McKinnon. Its my BIG DAY !! 😊
WHAT!?! ATVS ARE ROAD LEGAL IN CANADA?!?
Jealoussssss
Not in large cities. Also, each province has it's own laws. Heck in my city you can even drive on the Main Street with your Skidoo (snowmobile) :D
GroovyMotion what!!!! That’s so awesome! Haha
In some rural parts of Australia similar things can happen but... half the time nothing is registered... 😂
Oh yes, snowmobiles need to be registered but many just use them on fields, in forests and they cross some streets as fast as possible for not being caught by cops! I have seen a snowmobile in the middle of a highway (large grass part between the two lane sides), he was travelling over 150kmh!

Can you please tell that to the people down here in Buffalo? They seem to think otherwise.

this is SO casey. I see you two took eachother’s advice to heart!
Peter you’ve taught me a whole lot that’s made my work more professional, thank you so much 🙏
The music is LIT!!! Never seen anyone put out videos with music so perfect like your content. How do you kill it with the music always?
Another fantastic Video mate, I have just purchased a Canon 80D and I have been making a few vlogs, I think I'm hooked. Keep up the great work Peter :)

Go for it! If you are only using for video, take a look at the XC10 and other camcorders. Like I said it depends what you are using it for.
the 35mm f/2 IS? definitely go with that lens!
3 years ago my dad gave me his Canon 50mm 1.8 ii.
This lens came with his FILM camera he bought before I born.
So I'm using a 24+ years lens! Still working perfectly and helping me a lot with jobs.
Great video!
Cheers from Brazil!
Nice cinematics, hope i will grow to this level one day.
+Vicki Mes I’m sure you will!
Your vlogs look so clean cut and crisp! It always bothers me a little when a vlogger moves their camera around too much since it hurts my eyes and makes me dizzy, but I really appreciate the content that you and Casey put out.
Great video - thanks.
Oh Peter.. I've been having this huge grin on my face watching your newer videos.. the vibe is just so uplifting. Bought both the LUTS & Presets and I don't even make videos! Keep at it, and good luck.
Peter with his hair down 😍😍😍
I've been getting some great tips on shooting from you lately. Still have a lot to learn. But I have to seriously thank you for the Epidemic Sound tip! The music there is fantastic!! Love your channel! Thanks for all you share!
I aspire to have vlogs like Peter. Keep it up!!!! Wishing you more success!
That lens has experienced more than I have in my entire life.
By triple.
Peter - I know any helmet is beter than none. But, the helmet you are rocking here is a MTB/Downhill specific helmet, and not really close to the safety standards of a motorcycle helmet - I would really advise you to get a real Moto (MX) helmet..
+BV792 ya? Email me some links!
Hi Peter, thanks for your Lightroom Preset pack, I'm new to photography and just bought your Lightroom presets. It's really a big help for me to learn from it. Hope to see more of your amazing tutorials and videos and hopefully in the near future I could take great shots nad videos like you.
Great lens! Thanks dude!
Your best B-roll intro sequence so far! Amazing colors and mood! Great job!
Everything is fair if you are friends with Casey😂
RIP the destroyed lens.
hey checkout this cool drone giveaway , good day

Ok the beginning of this video is AMAZING I love Peter's style and that opening sequence was dope af
Yasssss a new video! I love when one of ur vids pop up on my notifications!!
I have a sony a58 and i bought this week the sony sam 35mm f1.8
I really like it:) do you know it? What are you thinking about it?
Ay f1.4 FTW!
Forever & Always. haha
hi . . thanks for all the exhaustive-helpful video! . . sensor cleaning! :-) . . how did you move the camera through the trees in the beginning? gimbal? what cam? 1dx or 80d?
Am I the only one who thinks the new lens actually looked a bit less crispy and clean?
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing, but thought I was seeing things until I saw your comment! Still fantastic, but yeah, noticed that a bit as well.
Giving thanks to Peter for an amazing year in photography. I eagerly wait for your videos. Your video is an escape for some people and I appreciate what you do! I've learnt so much but the one thing that stuck is "GO THE EXTRA MILE." and for that my friend I salute you
Wish i had the money to break lenses and still produce content 😥
It took 9 years to destroy. But yeah. Busted my ass for that lens.
Peter McKinnon I feel ya man, guess its sentimental in a way. Love what you do ❤
Shit I just had a sony a6300 crap out on me and had to trade off my canon 24-105mm to get another a6300... Its rough whenever camera gear has to go to the graveyard.
Who Films my lens broke and I stopped making videos for 2 months 🙃
Do it, your camera doesn't matter
Hey pete, Would you still recommend this lens on a crop sensor (70d)? Im hoping to upgrade to full frame eventually but looking to invest in some glass now.
Nooooooo :(
Notification squad are you hereeeeeeeeee?
και εσεις εδω?
Right here brotha
WE LIVE
Can see the Casey storytelling cuts. It's really nice that one creator can share tips with another. Good job Pete!
When there’s a notification on a friday!!!! WHAT?! SMASHED THE LIKE BUTTON!!
Haha this weeks order was a little whack for posting!
Week was just made!!!!
That intro is just sick! So smooth, so awesome, so crisp with the DOF and focus! Thanks for one fresh and informative segment. Good luck, love your work Peter:)
Nice story telling, the Casey Neistat effect?
Loved it, Peter. I don't have any real camera equipment yet, but I have things I've held onto for years that hold their special place.
that intro, woooow
Great video like always Peter. Thank you for the speed ramping tip in a previous video for use in Premier Pro. It made my life so much easier.
Anyone wathing in *2019* ?
I love that you love the 24mm 1.4 L so much--I feel like no one ever talks about it! I've had it for a couple of years, and while I feel way more comfortable shooting at the 100mm or 200mm focal length than I do with a wide angle, it's a super sharp and very interesting lens.
~Hi People, I have question, which dslr will give me better slow motion 80D or 5dmk2? Thanks.
Daniel Golaszewski 80d due to higher FPS
80d for sure. But if slow motion is an important thing for you maybe you should be looking at Sony mirror less camera's.
Melvin Jose yes agree.. Id get a a6300 but i just dont like the small size: ( you could slow it down in post if you want.
dude the higher FPS the smoother slow mo' u get
When digital format came in like a tornado my SQAI's got blown away and I miss them...
This vlog is totally Casey neistat style .
Ki A little but better camera work
Peter, what ever happened about a month ago or so it hasn't gone unnoticed. Something even more brilliant is happening and your camera work has matured significantly. Is it due to new equipment or a state of mind, whatever is happening it's working. You are a force dear...keep it up!
❤️❤️Peter McKinnon❤️❤️

Great channel, have used your music and love it!
Hi Peter,
I just bought the LUTS Package using the offer.
At the moment I shoot with a Canon 6D and the Cinestyle Picture Style set in camera to have the most "flat" look.
Should I change to another Picture Style to have a better match with your LUTS ?
Thank you!
Can I buy your broken prime?
I was going to ask the same thing!
A...... Large coffee and a 24 mil, will that be all for you sir? Ok that'll be $1505.34 at the window.
My bad sight does that for free
I will never spend $2800 on a lens, regardless of how sharp or blurry it is.
JonasTheKing you gotta spend money to make money. That goes for anything honestly.
Yes, you are absolutely right. Professionally, you get that back easily through your work. But as a hobbyist I wouldn't go that far.
Feeling inspired at the moment your film began...so inspiring, needed to be uplifted, and and PM did it. Thanks man. :)
...also just bought your LUTS PAK...thank you!
Try iPhone Recording with gimbald and moment lensed
I see some of Casey’s story-telling kinda vlog here right after you both meet. Combined with ur cinematic skill, the vlog is becoming more fun to watch!!
24 mm 4ever
Im in between the 24mm or 10-18mm what do you think? Debating what to get
Matt Stephen i am confused too becouse now i can afford only one and i need to make choice but i am going to invest in 24 or something like that focal length!
It’s such a beautiful piece of glass
"no...they put cream in this...FIGHT THROUGH IT!"
This is why you are the winner that you are. So humble, always looking at the silver linings. I admire you, man!
is it just me, or do Pete's hair look like REALLY COOL
As usual an awesome video!! and dude seriously how do you get your sound so good in every situation!? so clean👌🏼
in where i live there is no so much of cinematography and with watching this guys videos am getting a head of all the video makers in my city thanks a lot dude
Is it Kodak killer on the intro sequence? Especially the footage of the fallen tree amazing colors! Like a boss Peter! Keep it up! (ps: I still haven't made it to such coloring with your luts but I must getting to it!! lol)
"Fight through it!" Goes for more than coffee with cream. :)
All right then Mr. McKinnon. I was sceptical about those presets.
I am now editing a series of a Canon 2 dollar thrift shop analog camera which is not, at all, what your presets are aimed at.
So I threw in the unedited, scanned photograph and added your heatstroke filter, tweaked it a little for realism and
s17.postimg.org/5drzb466n/pmcfilter.jpg
Well...
+The Rolling Troll appreciate the support! Enjoy!
+Jessica Lawrence yeah it’s a subscription! I pay for it too. Then you can load any presets in and edit away!
Peter McKinnon Awesome! I was really confused!! Lol Lots to learn!
what lens do you vlog with? i currently have the art kit lens from canon the 50mm and the 18-20mm but im looking for a lens thinking of the 24 or 16-35mm? i think
I need that lens, maybe a x-mas gift for myself- great video Peter, always on point.
