- Thank you Anime Expo for the PHENOMENAL Sonic X Shadow Generations panel. So much insight and information. And we are getting a TWELVE 3 part animated prologue. Here is the awesomazing first look!

It's wild how I went into this with pretty high expectations, AND THEY WERE STILL SHATTERED.
This was what I wanted the franchise to be in way back in the 2010s

@@Dioslux If I had to guess? They took all the criticism from the late 2000s/early 2010s to heart and wanted to appeal to that crowd plus the 90s crowd. They soon realized those people didn't actually like Sonic as a series.

Kirk Thorton has come such a long way since the original Generations
Him talking during the panel shed so much light on what held his performances back. The amount of pathos and passion he talked about the character now felt awesome. And just in this clip, I know this performance for the character will be one of my favorites.
I remember the " You got this, Sonic" line.
He’s amazing and he set the bar high for Keanu Reeves to try and top.

I love how this single one minute and 30 seconds clip shows to all the people who think Sonic can't be serious prove them wrong just this alone it's amazing
I agree me personally I always knew and preferred the shonen, more serious side with just a hint of lightheartedness

So that’s who they got playing as Maria. It’s the same voice actress who did Hinata from Naruto and Armor from X-Men (Anime). I’m glad they are using human characters again, besides Dr. Eggman

This is Perfect, Perfect, Everything down to the Last Minute Details and Lore that I felt Emotional and seen Shadow and Maria’s Bond is Wholesome and Heartwarming, plus I didn’t expect Emerl Appearing.

This animation is fire this should be a tv series for the sonic franchise if it ever were to happen. It should air on Netflix or Cartoon Network

I’m really curious how long each episode is going to be, definitely not expecting a full length anime episode for each one but I’m hoping for at least close to 10 minutes for each one.

You know, i had doubts on shadow's VA since it was from the emo hardass phase that started in the original generations
But seeing this now, it pretty much confirms that all it took was a better voice director to do shadow's voice and personality justice

Now I'm hoping that the cutscenes in Sonic's story have been remade in this style. Also, I think we just discovered who that 4th playable character is

I'm lovin this animation! It reminded me of previous anime and games with animation like this. (Fire Emblem Three Houses, Sakura Wars the animation, Tales of Luminaria, The Seven Deadly Sins Movie, Tekken Bloodline, and Dragon Ball Super Superhero movie.)

Some animation these days is straight up wizardry man. Between Spider-Verse, the new Dragon Ball Super movies, or Arcane, we're in a different era of animation and I LOVE IT.

I wouldn't be shocked remotely if the Frontiers sequel is called "Sonic & Shadow" playing off the Sonic & Knuckles iconography, and really levels up!

Yes they are. Also usagi dub voice is the vizmedia dub voice
