I don't care if it's a Ford, Chevy, Dodge, American Motors, etc. I'd take any one of those cars in a heartbeat. He looks like he's just out for a casual drive. Waiving at the pits as he flys by.
I agree Teri, We might have to look into that. You can see some great pictures on Facebook at "Ludicrous Speed Racing" and track Ken, he's racing his Miata in Sonoma this weekend. Thanks for your comments and I hope you had as much fun as we did. Ford... It's The Going Thing !
He is slowing down just enough to let the Vettes almost catch up. IMO as an open tracker, passing cars is a more fun than leading them unless you are getting $$$ for being first. In Vintage racing some guys are serious and some are out there for photo ops I think this driver is serious.
Storeisclosed Me too. My friends were into Chevys, Mopars etc, but I was strictly Ford all the way. In the mid to late 80s when I was growing up, '68-72 Chevelles and '68-74 Novas were a dime a dozen, and I knew lots of people who had them, which kinda made me sick of seeing Chevelles and Novas all the time. But now old cars from the 60s and early 70s aren't common anymore, so I've become more accepting of other marques. I even own a Dodge pickup that I bought new. But I've since learned that the Dodge 4.7L v8 is apparently junk! I wish I would've either gotten a hemi in the truck or bought a Chevy or Ford. I only bought a truck because of work. If it wasn't for work, I'd never buy another truck.

Silly Bow Tie boys trying to keep up with an FE. They brought a pellet gun to an artillery range.
Pitch that stupid glovebox door out the window, it's extra weight anyway. lol
+AmericanThunder That silly glovebox has probably had Two to Three tons worth of papers, chips, cookies, documents, maybe a hundred pounds of drugs, maybe a gun or two pass thru that simple door....& you want to bitch?...because it won't close now?
That would bring out a debris caution
A Stang wins on Vette day. That is classic right there, and why you don't invite the Benjamins to a party.
Have been around this track in a Porsche 928 at speed during a PCA event, very fun and challenging track.
I LOVE THIS! JUST WISH I WAS IN THE DRIVERS SEAT.
It would be a pretty good ride (I've hauled produce from S.Florida to Seattle), but I would love to see y'all bring that thing to Sebring! The sound when taking the green is awesome!
OUTSTANDING, MY 15 OR 16TH TIME WATCHING THIS ONE. LLAGUNA SECA KICKS ASS. 428 CJ XR7, GT390 67... GOTTA LOVE THE FE SERIES... GETSOME..
GMC= Gotta Mechanic Coming
GMC= Garage Mechanics Companion
Get Me Chain!
That looks so light man that is badass
He is slowing down just enough to let the Vettes almost catch up. IMO as an open tracker, passing cars is a more fun than leading them unless you are getting $$$ for being first.
In Vintage racing some guys are serious and some are out there for photo ops I think this driver is serious.
Was that a date correct iron block or one of the new aluminum block 427 FE engines?
Love them all. Ford, GM, Chrysler, wish I had the money to afford some of each.
used to be a ford versus chevy person..but now think theyre all cool
Storeisclosed
Me too.
Love that sound in high gear at the top!
Good driving @ 20:20 getting back around the big block Vette
