  • Follow us on a recent trip in the northern Cairngorms down Glen Avon & Glen Loin. After a far too long hiatus we managed to get back out - whilst this trip wasn't what we had planned for various reasons a good time was still had, I suspect it will be the last trip for a while without the dreaded midge!!

    Really enjoy your videos! This time it was nice to see a couple of bits I recognised from doing the Cairngorms Loop last week! It was my first time up that way and will definitely be back.

    Just be thankful I am not in motherland joining you in these adventures, you'd utterly hate me. That river at 3:38 behind you, I could spend 5hrs with my camera at that place alone 😆📸

      I could have sat down there all day long!! - I usually research my routes before going (sometimes a little too much) but this was a complete surprise.. made it all the nicer... when you're across next time we shall get out together - bring your camera gear!!!

      Cheers John where you going? The panniers are really old ortlieb panniers.. there's a wee clip broken on them but apart from that they just seem to keep going and going...

      Coops - not really much to say to be honest... its one of these... www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php/car-specific-accessories/buzz_rack_bb4_4_bike_wheel_support_rack_no_brp324/Qx%40w%2C6M42VAwp3%40Rb%7B~cC4ure7yanU
      I also needed the extra long straps for fat bike wheels/tires which added another £50 to the total as I recall...
      obviously a towbar needed as well!! 😋

    Nice vid, I enjoyed the additional narration overlays at parts, your first time doing this or maybe I missed it in the past? If yer ever stuck for things to talk about you're welcome to educate idiots like me with content like 'what's in my bag' and pros and cons of certain gear/stuff you've tried etc. I don't even really do much camping so any tips is always welcome. Looking forward to the next one!

    • @hikebikescotland9121
      @hikebikescotland9121  Год назад

      Cheers Eddy!! - I've done a little narration in the past but this time I decided to do more of that instead of just plonking music over the top... hopefully its better and help tells the story a bit more... I only used the same mic I take outdoors (Rode lavalier) - the sound is a little 'low rent' for that sort of thing... what do you use for yours? it sounds way better.... likely costs a bomb though 😂 and I'm... well tight!! - any advice in this area is much appreciated...
