- I made the world's most powerful sledgehammer! I used six F class rocket motors to make a sledge with 50 lbs of thrust.

I can't be the only one who's not convinced the rockets were adding any significant amount of force to the swing.

I feel like if these rockets would assist in any way, they would need to be angled back instead of the 45° (seemingly) that they're at now.
The caveat there is now the user would be in direct path of the expelled explody, CO2 stuffs 🧐

Instead of angling the tubes you should've just welded them parallel to the head to really take advantage of the extra force. I'd say your rocket fuel ratio was off and acting more like a smoke bomb - if you can still lift the hammer as the motors are firing, they're definitely not producing enough thrust.
Also, set up a trigger system with a 9v battery that runs to some steel wool for an easy electric igniter, that way you know all of them go off at the same time.
Ye its obviously for safety but the rack test kinda showed that the angles might have been a little to harsh
It would have been interesting to try a couple of swings at a force sensor, see just how much more force you're generating vs the extra weight.
I honestly don't think the rockets are doing much of anything other than making it look cool as heck

Fun fact: The term swag was first used by a boyband when being LGBTQ was still illegal, because all of the members where secretly gay (SWAG - Secretly We Are Gay) to subtly let fans know about their asexuality. They however had a very distinct style of clothing, which caused people to think that SWAG was a descriptor fot this style and started calling other "cool looking things" swag and it got so popular that it's used by thousands of people every day, completely oblivious to the actual meaning.

i think if you can lift the hammer while the rockets are still going they don't really add any force to the hit
this is the waterjet channel i came for. the only thing missing is the waterjet, but that was merely a set piece from the start.

why such an angle? they compensate one other. imagine T form, where rockets are on top ends- it wouldns help. so instead of Y or T form- do 'I'

Yea your angled rocket probably took about half of the force away so 25lb per motor bot 50. Looks about 45 degrees

I think it'd be fairly dubious to be hit with the flaming end of a rocket, so if you wanted a redo, I'd recommend making that: hit something with a rocket tail hammer

Remember that half a toilet video you did a while ago? you should install that toilet somewhere, clog it, and hire someone to unclog it lol
Next time use bread ties and a car battery charger. Clean coating off then fold a bread tie into a v, put paper between the legs of the v and Jam it into the rocket so they don't touch. Attach battery charger leads to either end of bread tie then turn it on. Bread tie gets white hot instantly. Great for fireworks you don't trust

V2 should have the motors aimed directly backward, so you don't waste (1-1/sqrt(2))= ~30% of your thrust pushing sideways.

Lost a huge amount of force vector with the angle of those things. Also the lack of efficient nozzles and an unbalanced fuel recipe means you are getting smoke and flame...but very little effective thrust. Also, look up how to make electric matches. It's simpler than you'd think.
@7:00 the fact you are still holding the hammer level through the air despite the fact only one motor is lit on that side confirms you are getting nearly zero thrust - or that thing would be trying to spin out of your grip. At a minimum twist slightly to the right. Too bad - missed opportunity!

I have an update to this concept
instead of rockets, use explosives that detonate when the hammer hits to add force to the impact
in other words, instead of burning off your fuel in the lead up to the impact, burn it all on impact
The only logical step is to keep adding more and larger rocket motors until it does something.
Better hit the target first try.. Not gunna be easy to reswing the hammer with rockets blasting upwards

Why fuses and not battery powered model rocket ignitors? could have rigged the rocket ignitors up to a button on the handle so you dont have to handle a torch to light the fuse. plus easier to sync em up.
It's fugly, and slanting the rockets that much wastes a lot of power.
