I don't get this team's out of nowhere obsession of wanting to trade Casas. For YEARS, us Red Sox fans have been waiting for this dude to make it to the big leagues. He's only been in the bigs for what like two years maybe and now it's "TRADE HIM!" like? Even if we did who the hell is playing first for us? Cause I remember for years this team went felt like ages not having an actual first baseman and now this is upon us? No, let the kid have at least another season and as long as he stays healthy I think he should be alright.
It’s the injury. Ppl fear Casas will be plagued with injuries. His value is at its peak at the moment. It’s a, if he stays healthy, good for him, but if he doesn’t, at least he isn’t on the IL for the Sox leaving a spot open to fill.
@TheChrisPhoenix its the fact Devers needs to get off 3B, and move to 1B/DH is only logical answer. He got the $ invested in him Casas don't. Devers has some of the worst defensive records in the league for years
It makes a gazillion times more sense to just move Yoshi (even if it’s for a bucket of gum), tell Devers he’s the next Big Papi, and trade for Aranado…but DO NOT move Casas.
Gives you three years of Arenado and Story as placeholders while you figure out spots for the young guys. Is Campbell at 3B a possibility with Mayer next to him?
Trade casas because teams garner him more than Alonso. So can miss on the chance of high value after a down(ish) year. If you can use him n lil more to get Jared jones to pair with crochet you gotta make that trade
Even if they got a bucket of gum back for Yoshida, they'd still have to eat a lot of that contract and I don't think Henry wants to do that. I think they're stuck with him at least this year and quite possibly next year too. They're saying he will get reps in the OF this year, as well as DH. I think teams will be looking to see how his shoulder healed and if he can actually throw and play at least an average OF.
@ yeah he definitely don’t wanna pay shit outta the deal but he got to cuz they still got story bad deal too n devers will look bad too if they don’t move him to 1st or DH
I doubt it happens but only way you deal Casas is if you can Land Vlad him & Mayer probably get the deal done immediate replacements for Tor for Bichette & Vlad both upcoming FAs
I want to see him try and prove that he can produce big-time and stay healthy. I wonder if the team thinks that he's a problem in numerous areas- defense, health, makeup a negative in the clubhouse. Maybe they decided that they can't live with bad D at both corners and that they should look at all options to improve one of the spots. Could be part of the bigger picture, if they feel like shopping him while there is some buzz about his trade market.
Trading him when he’s proven he can be a top 10 hitter in baseball (second half of 2023) when his value is at his lowest due to injuries just seems dumb
I’m trying to figure out how healthy he was in the minors. I knew he didn’t quit called up because he was injured at one point. I think the socks know something about his health that we don’t know he’s no good if he can’t stay on the field.
At this point I am comfortable adding another high leverage bullpen arm, adding a catcher for depth, and calling it good until mid-season. I think Grissom is going to emerge as a competent 2nd baseman with a high contact bat from the right side. Eventually Campbell comes up probably in the outfield and I think he will have some pop from the right side. By mid season I expect both Yoshida and Casas will have recovered trade value and then the Sox can revisit trades.
It's about 2026 2027 and beyond more than this year. I love having this many pieces coming up that are under team control. No need to trade key pieces unless we get a massive return like we did in Crochet.
It's a good thing Casas doesn't have eyes and ears, otherwise he might find out the Sox are desperately shopping him. Way to make a player feel wanted.
Why would I talk about that in this video? Also that’s completely overblown. Arbitration its own system based off his average performance over the years and his salaries building over the next few years. Happens all the time, but it’s being overblown because Red Sox fans are sensitive about money.
Redsox trade Cassas and Franklin Aris to the White Sox for Luis Robert and Edgar Quero. Your trading two players that have a history of being hurt with tremendous upside for both. Luis Robert is good defensively and won a silver slugger in 2023. His contract is interesting because you can have for two more years for cheap if he puts up 2023 numbers again. The real piece to the package would be Edgar Quero. A top 100 prospect that has a outstanding bat. The one thing the Red Sox farm system is lacking a catcher from the Kyle steel trade. The White Sox land Casas a first basemen with potential that hasn’t put it all together yet because of injuries and Arias a short stop that looks good defensively. Arias is blocked by multiple infielders on the Red Sox and farm system. Before people scream you can’t trade Casas understand if Robert bounces back it would be an outstanding deal for the Red Sox because Robert is a five tool player with two affordable option years and Quero really fills a need on the Red Sox.
@@monsterterritory1 They've already said they aren't looking to trade him, so maybe LISTEN to the front office. Imagine you being him and you keep hearing about people wanting to get rid of you.
Trading great young players to make up for Devers incompetence at 3rd base seems a bad idea all around... Casas could and already is to a point the face of Boston... Devers seems unable to be that person... Vlad does make sense, but that trade don't sort the Devers issues... I say Devers to DH and be done with it... Yoshida you just have to make the best of, it is what it is...
Bregman just gonna take Houston‘s offer and if I was Houston, I would lower the amount nobody’s interested in a long-term deal with Bregman. He’s getting too greedy. I don’t want them. I wanna see the young kids play spend the money on tanner scott

Here’s the best Casas offseason idea you’ll see: keep him

Great video

I think it’s best to just look at the whole picture. Team needs balance. His value can help with that.
I’m trying to figure out how healthy he was in the minors. I knew he didn’t quit called up because he was injured at one point. I think the socks know something about his health that we don’t know he’s no good if he can’t stay on the field.
Casas n Hamilton for andres munoz? What
What happened to the video I was watching it live then it said this video is private??
Forgot to put something with the editing 😂

No. No ideas. Keep him.
Would the Mets move Brandon Sproat for Casas possibly? He moved through the minors well last year. Has a very good pitch mix.
The content in this video is my thirteenth reason
Blue jay or cardinals best choices

They aren't. The front office has made that clear, yet wannabe GMs are still making silly trade proposals.
The best idea is to keep him. Devers is a DH
Nothing about Duran and the Sox totally disrespecting him over 500k. They need to sell the team to someone who actually cares about winning
Why would I talk about that in this video?

I think Cora doesn't like Casas and he doesn't like Yoshida. Casas for Herrera? No.
If Vlad Jr wants to be a Sox go get him NOW!!!!!!
How about we leave Casas where he is and stop all this trade bulls**t?
Tell that to the FO, not me 😂

After the first three bats that such a weak lineup you have there
