It's ok to move on from Bregman if they're not going to give him 5 years however they need an alternative. Breslow has a stated goal of bringing in a right handed power hitter. @petergarcia6645 i think as a team, theyre going to value defense and base stealing more than HRs... We were 29th in defense last ssn. Story's return + Arenado at 3B & this team is Top 3 defense in an instant. If they really want to protect Devers in the lineup, they go get Alonso instead.
The Red Sox drama There's more hypotheticals than ball players in the major leagues. Given u up on the Astros 3rd baseman his ship sailed a while ago. And in't lie what we got for 25 compared to nearly every other team are youth will give us youth stamina and perseverance. I would be willing to put them up against any 25. Any 25.
I would only trade Casas in a package if we could get something like Arenado Donovan Herrera/Crooks. Donovan plays 2nd. If Anthony isn't ready he plays LF.
I like Arenado but we don't need him or Bregmen. We have Campell, Mayer and the #1 MLB prospect Roman Anthony is on the brink of making the roster. Unless you want to block our young boys signing another starter makes no sense.

I love Arenado in Boston, BUT im starting to like the idea of Pete Alonso sharing 1B & DH with Casas if they really want to keep Raffy at 3B.

They are done improving the team. Just minor moves from here. They wanna be competitive not real winners.
I disagree. I think a couple more moves are coming, and they want to be winners. Moreso just taking the slow and steady approach.
