MF is iconic. It was so ahead of its time, its popularity 21 years later is truly a statement. This is always the first coaster I ride at CP and hands down my favorite.
This is always the coaster I ride at the end of my days at cedar point. That ride is insane at night time and adds a lot to the experience. Such a fun coaster and crazy how good it's held up over time. Still smooth and still a blast.

Before last season the last time I had been to Cedar Point was right around 1994 and I thought Magnum was huge then. I finally got to ride Millie for the 1st time just last season. What an incredible ride. The most crazy story actually involved Millie for my 12 year old son. He had never been on a coaster until last year and was terrified on Gatekeeper and actually started tearing up while waiting in line for Steel Vengeance. He did not get on Steve and just walked through back to the exit. Somehow he wanted to ride Millie and was terrified going up the hill but as soon as our ride was over I look over at him and he has this giant smile and says "that was epic". After that ride he rode every coaster in the park.
I don't care what anybody says about it- Millennium Force is in my top 3. Loved it from the first time I rode it and will always love it. It's a fantastic ride

This is a great documentary. I love Millennium Force and the entry music. As a Floridian for 8 years, I long for Busch Gardens to build the next big giga coaster thriller.
I had my first ride ever on Millennium Force on Sunday, 5/5/2024, and after whimping away from it several times last season, it is now my favorite coaster! I rode her again 2 weeks later! CP is my home park so I'm definitely going to be riding it several more times this season! I probably enjoyed my first ride just as much in 2024 as much as people in 2000 did. Hopefully, she gets a new paint job this off season for her 25th anniversary next season

I love a petty designer, Dana's all in his feelings. Millennium Force is the heart of CP, kinda like a wise grandma sitting on the porch rocking chair.
MF is definitely my favorite. It’s such a smooth ride that I forget about fighting it like I have to do with some other coasters. I will never forget the feeling of riding the MF or my first time riding it. Little context, when I was in my teens, tall coasters scared me. I really wasn’t willing to try them at all, instead going on the Raptor or Mantis. Rides like the Magnum scared me. But the MF just fascinated me when I first saw it being constructed and when it was completed, I would just watch it. Finally I got my courage and decided to try it near the end of the day and it felt like a breakthrough. I just enjoyed the speed, the thrill, and the ride. After riding the MF, I started going on all the top rides and tallest coasters and now I’ve gone all over the country, from California to Florida, riding coasters. Yet I still remember the feeling of the MF to this day.
Thank you for sharing! In the years since I’ve posted this video sooo many people have shared their experiences getting their first rides on this. There’s definitely something special about MF.
My 2 favorites at Cedar Point are still Millennium Force and Magnum, probably because they felt so tremendously ahead of their time! They both hold special places, for me.
See yeah I think Millennium is always sort of going to be my favorite. My personal top two rides there as far as thrills go are SV and Maverick, but when I think of Cedar Point, I think of Millennium Force. Always the first thing I want to ride when I get there, and last thing before I leave.
@@KICoasterGuy It was fantastic. The sheer feeling of speed was great. Hearing the music during the intro to this video made me chuckle. 1. Whenever I see you post a video, I get very excited. 2. I love MF, was my favorite ride once I did it and it probably still is. I like it more than maverick, and I still haven’t ridden Steel Vengence
First off, thank you! It means a lot to me that you took the time to say that. I love MF, Maverick might actually be my favorite ride at the park, but I definitely think it's true that SV is the best ride there. I hope you get the chance to go ride it soon because it really is great. I thought I'd be dissapointed because of how hyped it was but it lives up to it.
MF opened the same year I moved to Ohio and I was a coaster enthusiast back then as a kid too. I remember riding it that first year and there was nothing like it. Butterflies like crazy over every hill and a first drop that lasted forever. For 10 years it was in a league of its own and while not the most intense coaster in the world, it was the best. As I was no longer fearful of huge drops and no longer got the butterflies floating over hills, I started to prefer more intense rides like Maverick and Magnum. Diamondback opening dampened my enthusiasm for it the most though. No the first drop didn’t last quite as long, but the airtime was so much better. It still holds a special place in my heart and may have been my favorite ever for the time, but now I much prefer Orion, Diamondback, and the other B&M hypers as well as RMCs and even magnum and Maverick. I will never like any of them as much as I liked MF at the time.
Yeah there are a lot of rides I enjoy more but I love MF. Wish I had been an enthusiast at the time when it opened but when I was a kid coasters scared the crap out of me lol. No way in hell I was getting on that thing back in 2000 😂
so they’ve never released what Morgan had planned? Can’t imagine it would have been better. Millennium force is iconic, one of the most famous coasters ever built.
Totally agree, but no, Morgan hasn’t released whatever their plan was. I’d wager it was probably very similar to what they ended up building in Japan though.
Man I was glad to do this again a few weeks ago My last ride was back when the coaster opened in 2000 It was the talk of the town when me and my father were there at that time
To my knowledge they haven’t, and I’ve looked. My theory is it was probably fairly similar to what they built in Japan but that’s just conjecture on my part.
I wonder how smooth the steel dragon Morgan is, it just looks like older design and tech. Magnum uses a very similar track, I wonder if it was constructed the same. Magnum is very bumpy and uncomfortable by comparison.
I've never been on Steel Dragon so I can't speak to how smooth the ride actually is, but in theory it should definitely be smoother than Magnum. Arrow track was actually bent by hand back in 1989, while by the 90's Morgan was building precision cut sections like we're more used to these days on the newer rides.
@@KICoasterGuy I’d love to see them upgrade the track on magnum… so much potential for it to be a more comfortable ride. They wouldn’t have to change much in terms of design keep the layout the same maybe make some minor changes and adjustments, retrack and bring new cars.
Millennium force Isn’t over rated too much people say it’s over rated that it’s under rated it’s the second best roller coaster I’ve Ben on with the first being stele vengeance
Millennium Force will always be my favorite because it was THE ONE that started everything we have today. It was the one I had to wait several years to finally get to CP to ride. It's not the best ride anymore, but it will always be the best in my opinion just because of its meaning, history, and nostalgia.
In my opinion the gatekeeper is a disappointment , I was expecting so much more from it. Same with the valraven. But the steel vengeance is amazing . Millie is the best ride in the park till this day tho.
Millinium Force vibes so hard. "Enthusiast" love to critique its lack of airtime, but I disagree in thinking more air time = more fun. It delivers the sense of flying, which is not something you get with an RMC.
Yeah I kind of doubt whatever they proposed would be better than Millennium Force. If it's really true that CF told Morgan they wish they would have built their ride, it sort of just confirms my feeling that they're almost never happy with whatever they build 🤣.
Millennium Force is still the most badass roller coaster in the world in my opinion. The mean streak will always be my favorite coaster at Cedar Point tho.
I can't really give much of an opinion on Mean Streak, last time I rode it was a looooooooooooooong time ago. Either way, I agree with you about Millie!
Intamin just makes a better giga imo. My only gripe with Millie is that they really need to solve the issue with that lift motor and have it yank you to the top at the old speed.
while millie wasnt my first giga coaster, it is still a fun ride. I however perfer orion more due to the airtime and weightlessness it brings to the table. steel vengeance is my favorite at cedar point.
I know they announced she will be getting a new lift hill motor to get the lift back to full speed so hopefully they slap on a coat of fresh paint too. Do those things and that old girl will be running like it’s the year 2000 again. Twenty four years on and she is still smooth as silk and rated among the best coasters in the word. Millie is a modern icon
Loved this video. I visited Cedar Point once in May 2018 after Steel Vengeance opened, so Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster are the two tallest and fastest coasters I've ridden. Yes, there are 7 giga's as of now, but only if you don't include Superman, escape from Krypton because it's a shuttle coaster rather than a full circuit coaster (in which case you'd be correct) or because you think it's over 400' in which case you're not quite as correct; the drop is 328.1. I don't care about unused height. I consider it to also be a Giga, with only TTD and Kingda Ka being the world's only two "strata" coasters; any coaster with a of 400' or more. These are all the height and drop stats for all 8 giga and 2 strata coasters: Millennium Force's height is 310' but its drop is 300'; Intimidator 305 has a height of 305' with a drop of 300'; Orion has a height of 287' but with a drop of 300'; Leviathan has a height AND drop of 306'; Steel Dragon 2000 has a height of 318' but a drop of 307' Fury 325 has a height of 325' but drop of 320'; Superman Escape from Krypton has a height of 400' with a drop of 328'; Red Force has a height of 367' but a drop of 338'; TTD's height is 420' but its drop is 400'; Kingda Ka's height is 456' but its drop is 418'. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for taking the time to comment! At the moment I think the general consensus is that a giga is a closed circuit coaster with a height or drop height of 300 feet or more, but I take your point. These are all marketing terms anyway, but it's still a fun thing to talk about these definitions in my opinion.
@@KICoasterGuy My issue is that there are too many people who insist that Superman Escape from Krypton has a drop of over 400' which simply isn't true. I'm glad you agree.
I rode Leviathan in late August and early September 2021 and I prefer Millennium Force in the back car due to it's long trains and long ride experience. The only full layout Giga coaster I think may be better than MF is Fury 325, but I've yet to ride it.
Dana Morgan literally went to japan and built the tallest and longest roller-coaster ever and then retired a year later after he lost the bid on Millennium Force😂😂😂😂😂 now thats legendary.
Nah!! MF is the 3rd best in the park, behind Steel Vengeance and Maverick. TTD, on the other hand, is overrated. But Wicked Twister is highly underrated and doesn't break down as much as TTD, and yet Wicked Twister gets the axe.
Shame it lost the record so soon never been to cedar but see and heard and rode millennium on you tube I am so inspired by its massive size some once told me they say the ride from Sandusky Bay and the massive drop intimidated them
I'm not sure how similar Steel Dragon is to whatever D.H. Morgan submitted to Cedar Fair. I guess the logical assumption is that it was probably pretty similar. I've never ridden Steel Dragon but I've heard it's not as good of a ride as MF though.
I have been on some tame Morgans such as Mamba and Wild Thing, and some more intense ones like Steel Eel and Phantoms Revenge, had CF went with Morgan, I feel ot would had been a much better ride than what Intamin Built for them. I would love to ride Steel Dragon 2000, it looks so much fun to ride on. I even ridden Lightning Run at Kentucky Kingdom which was built by Chance but you can see a lot of Morgan influence on that ride with a very similar track style to the other Morgan Coasters. I would love to see some good videos on the History of Morgan Rides. They were to big go to when Cedar Fair wanted a Hyper Coaster at all their parks. Their early designs were fairly tame but their later designs were pretty intense. I wish more parks built Morgans.
The millennium force is number one and then the magnum and dragster come right behind it, steel vengeance is up there too but also can’t forget about the maverick. They are all great in their own ways.
Oh absolutely. I'm glad we got the ride we did. I'd be really curious to see what Morgan had planned though. I have to imagine it was probably something similar to Steel Dragon 2000, but who knows.
We've gone to CP every Labor Day weekend since I was born '82. (minus 2020). So I've really witnessed the park grow. The first time I saw MF was coming in from a boat. Very cool experience.
I’d say my top 3 coasters at CP are the magnum, millennium force , and the top thrill dragster for sure, also can’t forget about the maverick and the new steel vengeance is up there as well .
You would never pay me a million dollars to ride this ride I do not like roller coasters that big I've never ridden Millennium Force nor will I ever ride Millennium Force.

Millinium Force vibes so hard. "Enthusiast" love to critique its lack of airtime, but I disagree in thinking more air time = more fun. It delivers the sense of flying, which is not something you get with an RMC.
I don’t care what anyone says I love that ride. Still one of the best out there no question.
Hm. Morgan didn't seem to have a whole lot of vision beyond "let's make the same hyper coaster again, but taller."
Yeah I kind of doubt whatever they proposed would be better than Millennium Force. If it's really true that CF told Morgan they wish they would have built their ride, it sort of just confirms my feeling that they're almost never happy with whatever they build 🤣.
"Listening to Smash Mouth" I hope you know that dealt me +20 psychic damage
lol! I'm sorry!
10/10 coaster
I still really like Millie and it is still a must ride for me when I go to CP but I can understand why people call it overrated
I can as well but I also think people get a little too critical of that ride sometimes.
Best coaster ever
Love it!
Mean streak was great but the replacement is better. Steel vengeance is like the mean streak but just better in every way tbh
Intamin just makes a better giga imo. My only gripe with Millie is that they really need to solve the issue with that lift motor and have it yank you to the top at the old speed.
They say you can see cedar point s tallest rides from 3 miles from the causeway bridge in Sandusky Ohio
LETS GO WOODSTOCK EXPRESS
For a Kiddie Coaster, Woodstock Express is a Lot of Fun 🤣🎢💞
while millie wasnt my first giga coaster, it is still a fun ride. I however perfer orion more due to the airtime and weightlessness it brings to the table. steel vengeance is my favorite at cedar point.
I think I prefer Orion as well, but I really do love Millennium Force!
Its the best of the rest. like for sure--ya know!!
No argument from me
Loved this video.
Ride millennium for the first time a couple weeks ago and it really is one of the best in the world
Yeah it's a lot of fun. I love that the lift hill is right by the lake as well. Good views from that coaster.
@@KICoasterGuy In my opinion it’s much better than Orion
I live in the UK, but MF is my favorite sleelie.
you're pretty lucky to this day if you can find Millennium Force's queue under 1 1/2 hours
The best roller coaster at Cedar Point
Dana Morgan literally went to japan and built the tallest and longest roller-coaster ever and then retired a year later after he lost the bid on Millennium Force😂😂😂😂😂 now thats legendary.
That poster be like
Ride The Millennium Force!
Tallest And Fastest Roller coaster!
(This week)
🤣
I think it's over rated but that doesn't mean it's bad.
I love that ride but I understand that people way over hyped it for a really long time.
Nah!! MF is the 3rd best in the park, behind Steel Vengeance and Maverick. TTD, on the other hand, is overrated. But Wicked Twister is highly underrated and doesn't break down as much as TTD, and yet Wicked Twister gets the axe.
Was on this early today . Never gets old 😅
Never does
Shame it lost the record so soon never been to cedar but see and heard and rode millennium on you tube I am so inspired by its massive size some once told me they say the ride from Sandusky Bay and the massive drop intimidated them
It’s still great. Though since it’s time, many have come that not only challenged it’s title, they complete buried it.
Totally fair.
poggerz video loved it
Vengeance is the better coaster in the park. But milli will always be my favorite.
Getting a generic Wild Mouse in the year 2023 is more disappointing than getting Woodstock Express was in 1999.
Yeah can’t say I’m too thrilled about that one.
I was on it today, not terrible but it’s a basic coaster that pretty much every park already has.
So CP could of had a Steel Dragon 2000 which still holds the record of longest Steel Coaster?
Number 2 behind Steel Vengeance
Personally I've got it at Number 3, because I just love Mav so much. It's definitely one of my favorite coasters though. So much fun.
@@KICoasterGuy I’ve ridden it more than Maverick and I don’t get a headache from it either and my mom said that Maverick gives her a headache as well
YYYEP!!
Nahhh it takes the cake over any coaster in the park in my opinion
The millennium force is number one and then the magnum and dragster come right behind it, steel vengeance is up there too but also can’t forget about the maverick. They are all great in their own ways.
Millie is awesome and still #1 to over Steel Vengeance.
It might be my favorite coaster in the park
Very happy Morgan did not get the contract.
TBF, something called "Woodstock Express" sounds like a bitchen ride to do while on acid. 😜
Ok this made me lol 😂
I’d say my top 3 coasters at CP are the magnum, millennium force , and the top thrill dragster for sure, also can’t forget about the maverick and the new steel vengeance is up there as well .
Millie is definitely in my top 3. But maverick and steel vengeance beat it by a tiny bit
Totally agree
Those are both great rides but millennium is definitely the best ride in the park, and it’s taller and faster then both of those .
BUT Steel Dragon is not a thrilling ride. Watch nearly any review, "it just meanders around" & " fast but boring"
Yeah that's what I've heard as well.
millennium forceless😂
my home park is sfmm so im legally obliged to say this
I'll allow it. 😂
I was born in May 11th! (yeah nobody asked)
Innamin lol
You would never pay me a million dollars to ride this ride I do not like roller coasters that big I've never ridden Millennium Force nor will I ever ride Millennium Force.
Definitely not for everyone.
Your missing out man
For 19yrs, Millennium Force was my favorite, # 1 Rollercoaster, up until 2019, after taking my 1st on Steel Vengeance. But Millennium Force does remain my very close 2nd favorite Rollercoaster, and it is FAR FROM BEING FORCELESS, to all the Millennium Force haters out there!!🎢💞
Cheers to that!
Steel vengeance is fun but the millennium is still better, taller , and faster .
ITS CRAZY CDEAR POINT IS ALWAYS THE FIRST LOL
