Two weeks into owning a 3.7 Q50 and I'm loving it. So far only a muffler delete but pretty good power for a daily. There are some guys around town with 93octane tune/ nitrous 370z's beating mustangs so that's something to look forward to lol

Yeah it’s still worth it . Believe me. For a daily driver and longevity and reliability. The newer ones are not that reliable because the turbos do go out especially when adding more power and mods to the engine. With a 3.7 you can get to 500-700 with either a super charger air to air kit , (up to 700 hp) . Above that will kill the tranny.. and you might blow a gasket or two.Now for the lower hp 400-500hp, : 3” cold air intakes or Infiniti alpha (ams) on .3.7 , - yes they do fit on 3.7’s just the air hose will be custom longer , gtr injectors 750cc ,no higher otherwise you will have idle issues , ported intake manifold , full cat back exhaust with a tune (up to 500hp ) all depending on the car and climate . It will just cost you your pockets .
Yea that’s the thing with the 3.7……cost to horsepower ratio gets expensive

@@vPhranon no actually you will need a supercharger kit. Soho a2a kit in particular .but for “UNDER” or up to 500hp , doesn’t mean you will get to those numbers. It’s based on who tunes your car without blowing it up, climate, and running e85. you can do a full set up with cat back , long tube headers (isr) or hfc, (berk) is more popular, drop in filters (k&n) or 3” cold air intake if that is what you would choose to go as far as intakes. Or alpha intakes if you want to go that route too. Now as far as injector goes for without a kit. 650-750 cc injectors. Anything above the cc injectors mentioned “without “ a sc kit will cause idle issues.

Moral of the video. If you want reliable get 3.7 if you want performance get 3.0. I don’t see the point in boosting the 3.7 when you can just upgrade turbos in the 3.0 and have the same reliability
The Q50 are so underrated! I personally had a stock 2016 2.0T RWD Q50 with electric power steering (and not that silly steer by wire that Nissan totally screwed up with). I loved that car to bits.

I have a lengthy question about what power mods are actually worth it below 800hp. The fuel pump is a 348lph and the injectors that come with it are 720cc. There isn’t much worth doing in terms of fuel unless you’re pushing a crazy amount of hp. I believe z1s I take manifolds will yield much more than injectors and a fuel pump would and it’s a bit cheaper. If you personally have a set of injectors that added a noticeable amount of performance or even just reliability I’d love the name of where I can get them since I’ve been struggling to decide on my next mod before I build a rear mount turbo setup
I just installed admin 650cc injectors …. My tuner actually said they’re the best ones you can get other than the OEM GTR injectors. On NA you’ll only notice the power difference if you fill up with a full tank of e85 … boosted you’ll notice more of a difference regardless. 340 fuel pump should be more than enough as well. I just have a 255 walbro so I can push E85 a little more safer than the stock pump
The compeditors being the 330i, Lexus gs 350, volvo t6, acura TL, im missing some but the infiniti is the perfect middle ground of all of them. Not too expensive. Not the slowest. Maybe not the top reliable compared to toyota and acura. Is the best sounding

I believe the mold is from the maxima …. They’re labeled as Q50 paddles but the silver maxima ones are the same shape as my carbon ones
Just for a 23 sensory. Has its quirks but I like it.

@@Mahamotives still breaking it in, 300 miles on it. 1200 break in period. I’m coming from an 8v S3. The Q50 just came into my wheelhouse for the money. Did a few pulls on it. Transmission not as fast as my Dsg I had. Engine pulls good from the few pulls I did, engine sounds good. Ride is nice. Wish it had paddle shifters. Overall a solid car still.
2015 Infiniti Q50 or a 2015 Lexus GS350? Which should I get as far as looks and reliability?
Can’t go wrong with either but Q50 in my opinion…..if you go Lexus definitely get the F sport or even GSF v8 if you can

If it’s out the door price that’s about fair, just make sure it’s clean title, and the car doesn’t have issues…test drive the car and ask if the valve body been replaced yet….if they don’t know floor it around in manual mode bc that’s the mileage the valve body is supposed to go out if it goes out before you buy it then they’ll have to get it fixed before they sell…. Mine went out around 90k and I bought mine at 85k …. Some Q’s go out around 70k so it could’ve been fixed already too

Bought mine with 85k for 13k….try to get it less or look for one with less miles…..these cars last long but it’s always best practice to look for the least amount of miles on any car
I’m a m fan still loving my m35 and I like tha older q models q60/70 I’d rather a m45 or M56 better and more fun without the 3.7 in these models I’d never buy that 3.0 or 2.0 they poorly made and not hitting on nothing

@@Mahamotives nice did you need to fix the camber with adjustable control arms, camber arms and toe arms? Or is it within spec? I’m on rsr super down and need to fix my camber. Or raise it. I’m just seeing what other options ppl have
@@huhSHUA With my teins I have barely any camber. My specs are pretty close to being factory. Superdowns are very low and you will have camber wear unless you get camber/toe kit front and rear, and if your wheels/tire setup will allow you to zero out as well.
If you want a 3.7, just get a Z.

Try to get one un modified engine wise … you could be buying a headache and 15k pretty damn cheap for a red sport, I’d be questioning that
